Sassy Pooch do a great job and our doggies come back looking great. My suggestion to Sassy Pooch? Keep a detailed record of your customers, our dogs, and our grooming preferences. You lost 1 star because we explain every visit who we are, who our dogs are, and how we want them groomed — we live in the age of technology Sassy, by a database app and fill it in!

I love Sassy Pooch! It is hands down the ONLY place I will take me dog. I love their service and staff. A very welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. Would recommend to anyone!

Albert and his team are fantastic. They have created a welcoming and comfortable environment and their compassion for dogs is truly evident. My dog, Molly and I moved to Gilroy one year ago, and it was priority to find another grooming service that Molly was comfortable to go to. Our first visit set the tone and I truly appreciated Albert taking the time to get to know Molly. She is a high shedding dog, so I requested the furminator treatment. After discussing with Albert, I mentioned that Molly occasionally has sensitive skin. He was careful to do a light furminating brush out, as to not irritate the skin. This is the care and attention that keeps Molly and I coming back. A big thank you to the entire team.

Horrible place not gentle with the dogs my dog had a big cut and they did nothing about it… don’t come here very bad business. and on top of that there a rip off they charge $ 60 for a toy poodle that’s ridiculous.

I’ve been taking my toy poodle here for 11yrs now and I never had a problem until October 4^th. I picked her up and found out they cut her and did not even tell me. The funny thing is that they called before 4:00 and wanted me to pick her her at 4:30 instead of 4:00… SO PEOPLE DONT TAKE UR PETS HERE AND YES ILL POST A PICTURE OF HER CUT

Extremely impressed! I was referred to Sassy Pooch by a Morgan Hill friend who also had some «challenges» with a Morgan Hill dog groomer. I was impressed from the moment I made the appt. when I was asked for a copy of my dogs shots… great to know a groomer cares that much. I loved the time they spent asking how I wanted the dogs groomed, and offering suggestions. I experienced friendly, professional service including being asked if they could give the dogs a break and walk them a little during their time at the groomers. The dogs were beautifully groomed and weren’t stressed or agitated when I picked them up. The facility is clean and obviously well managed. I’ll definitely be taking our dogs back. I would (and have already) highly recommend Sassy Pooch.

I have a 17 year old cat that had a lot of matted hair, she is also very vicious as well. Albert and his staff were super accommodating, professional and kind. Very, very kind. When I picked her up, I saw that one of the staff was sliced and diced on his hands. I said I hoped it wasn’t my cat, but it was and he was pleasant and sweet about it. I am currently in between jobs or I would have left him a $ 50 tip. The review from C.N. is inaccurate in my opinion, I would gladly come here again and pay the same for the services they provided. Worth every penny, thank you Albert.

We have had a very good experience here. We brought our 9 lb poodle here after we rescued him in Modesto and they worked magic! Just this week we brought our Santa Cruz SPCA rescue, after having him a couple months with his original bad cut and a few matts.
He looked so beautiful and cute when we picked them up. The new dog even seems happier at home, as if getting cleaned up made him feel better too.
We don’t come as often as we should and this hasn’t been a problem, which is nice. We hope to come more regularly but with two dogs, we do wash and cut their hair at home too, just to save money. Although the prices here are very good compared to other groomers.
He did have one eye that was bothering him that evening (maybe soap in his eye?) but it was better in the morning.
We are very pleased and will be back. Hopefully soon!

I have brought my terrier here for nearly two years. Albert, Heather & their team do an amazing job. You can tell they genuinely care for the comfort and well being of your pet. Even when my little guy is nervous, Albert will take time to help calm him before taking him to the back. It’s nice to know there’s a team who will care for your pet like you would!

I brought my puppy in to have his nails trimmed. He’s a 6month old rescue and he’s scared of EVERYTHING… women, men, skateboards, crows, leaves falling from trees, his own shadow… Well Albert saw his anxiety right away and actually took my puppy for a walk to calm him down and have him become more comfortable so the nail trimming wouldn’t be traumatic. That kind of care and attention should be highly praised!
Once he’s old enough for grooming i’ll definitely be bringing him back to sassy pooch for all his needs!

We took our Labradoodle here today and they were wonderful! We have taken Oscar to another Groomer in Gilroy for the past few months but haven’t been too happy with them. We decided to try somewhere new and now that we have been to Sassy Pooch we will never go anywhere else. Albert, the Groomer, was so caring and you could tell he was genuinely interested in our feedback. For him to ask us to let him know after a couple of days what we thought and what he could do better the next time was so reassuring. Even the guy that took Oscar when we first got there and brought him to us when we picked him up was so nice. The only negative is it is a little expensive. For our 30 pound Labradoodle it was $ 65 — $ 75. Other than that — Excellent service and will definitely go back.

We have been bringing our dog there for 10 years, it is the only place our dog is happy at. We have tried one or two others over the years but Albert is the only one that our Ottis likes. Albert and his staff do a fantastic job with our sheep dog and always have him looking great after his bath, hair cut and comb out.

This is the best groomer I have ever used. I have a tiny, 3 lb, yorkie that is very sensitive and delicate. They take great care and give her a cut that really suits her, instead of the standard yorkie cut that sometimes makes them look silly. Albert is very good, and sometimes they will give an upgrade to the service you requested. The price is very reasonable, between $ 35 and $ 40 for the works. I am so glad I found these people.

They do a GREAT job. The staff is very friendly and concerned about our pets being as comfortable as they can be. I brought my very long haired 90 lb retriever mix in for a summer cut (lab coat short). She she was done, she was absolutely adorable with fluffy ears and tail. She will be much cooler in this summer. The cost is what I paid at a different Pet Grooming location. However, Sassy Pooch did a better job. This pet Salon was recommended by my vet, which also says a lot.

This place is fantastic. Great prices and such nice people. My pup just got her first experience at the groomers today and she looked absolutely adorable. They did a fabulous job and they even gave her a complimentary spritz of perfume afterwards that left her smelling great! I would definitely recommend this place over others. Plus they have adorable collars, leashes and other goodies for your pets! I definitely plan on bringing my pup here again for her next cut.

I bring my beagle here about once every 6 weeks or so. They are super friendly and worth every penny. My pooch doesn’t like water, so giving him a bath at home is painful at best. It’s great to have a place like this local and you can trust with your fur people. Thanks Sassy Pooch!

I just picked up my mom’s dog, a Lhasa Apso, from here and am so impressed by how calm her tempermental pooch was. My mom recently passed away and has taken her dog here for years and I can see why. The staff is very friendly and professional but obviously really care about their clients as well. Very impressed by how great Snickers looks and smells and even had a lil bounce in his step for the first time in awhile. Albert is definitely the best at what he does… MANY thanks to him.

I have been bringing my dog to Sassy Pooch for over 10 years. Albert does a great job. He also tolerates me calling the shop a couple times a day to make sure my dog is doing OK when she’s in there for grooming.
Albert is a good guy and I feel very fortunate to have someone trustworthy to leave my dog with that does a great job.

I took my Pomeranian/​Cairn Terrier mix here for a haircut and Albert gave him a really cute puppy cut. It was $ 45 for everything, which I think is a little steep for a 12 lb. dog, but that seems to be the norm here in the Bay area so whatever. Luckily that price includes all the basics (bath + haircut + nails trimmed + ears cleaned + anal glands expressed). My pup even got a nice spritz of doggie perfume that left him smelling delightful.
Albert was very nice and gentle upon meeting my dog; you can tell he spends a lot of his time working with animals.
Be aware ahead of time that Sassy Pooch does not take credit cards (only cash or check).

Talk about a great place. Needed to get my dogs groomed so I opened up the phone book to look up places. I called one in Morgan Hill and they wanted $ 45 per dog, it seemed high but what do I know, I have never had them groomed. (I have IG’s and they have very little hair, they really don’t shed or have that traditional doggie smell, I bathe, clip nails and clean their ears myself). I really wanted to take advantage of the other thing grooming offers that I won’t dare try, anal gland expressing, it’s just too expensive getting that done at the vet (they charge me $ 36 per dog for just doing the anal expressing, and that’s when they are in for other things, like exams or whatever, if you go in just for that procedure, it’s higher because you get an additional «technician» charge).
Anyway, I found Sassy Pooch in the phone book, gave them a call and he only wanted $ 25 per dog (which included, bath, nail clipping, ear cleaning and the anal gland expressing). I looked them up here on Unilocal and there was only 1 review but it was a good one so I decided to give this place a try.
Boy was I glad I did. The groomer (Albert) was very nice and the dogs liked him right away which put me at ease. They looked absolutely beautiful and smelled fantastic when I picked them up.
As I was starting to pull out of my parking space, a lady came walking out with her dog an Australian Shepherd (he looked gorgeous). I struck up a conversation with the lady and she said she’s been coming to Sassy Pooch for awhile now and that she absolutely loves the place. I asked her what she pays to have her dog done and I was shocked that he was only $ 5 more than I paid, he’s a pretty big dog and has long hair, so Albert’s prices are very reasonable. I saw a few other dogs too and they all looked great and seemed content and not stressed at all.
I will come back and I highly recommend ~~
