M & M Liquors

So, I called the store at noon on a Saturday (during business hours) and I get an answering machine, so I hung up thinking maybe I dialed the wrong number. I redialed the number and someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up on me. Apparently, they don’t care about getting my business. Poor customer service.

Every town has a lot of liquor stores, but there’s always that one that’s better than the rest. In Gilroy that’s M&Ms! Lucky for me, they’re right across the street from my house. Within stumbling distance if that’s what the night had in store. :P
Why is this place so great? First of all, the family that owns it is lovely. So friendly and so funny! Mark, the older son, is normally the one working when my boyfriend and I stop by, and he always greets us and makes conversation. It’s thanks to him that they now have a nice selection of craft beers in a fridge all by themselves (away from the swill that is Coors Light and the like). Ask him for recommendations, he knows his stuff! (I do not but my boyfriend does and he really enjoys the selection). Come on, how often do you find high quality, unique beers in your everyday liquor store? M&Ms is not your average place. :)
They also have all the other good stuff of course: hard liquor, malt beverages, snacks, juice, etc etc. Whatever you’re craving, they have it or something better, I promise. Do yourself a favor and support a well-​run, well-​stocked local store.
