Our bilingual practice specializes in the art and science of dentistry for patients from 12 months of age to seniors, including implants, porcelain veneers, whitening, crowns, bridges, partials, dentures and repairs, clear aligner and traditional orthodontics, general and preventive care, TMJ disorders, deep cleanings, root canals, tooth colored fillings, biopsies, extractions, children’s dentistry, digital x-rays and nitrous oxide sedation (laughing gas).

He and his friendly, helpful staff pay attention to detail, ethical standards, philosophy of care and ongoing continuing education, which has earned them a solid reputation among both patients and peers. Throughout the years our patient base has included those from Corona, Mariposa, San Francisco, Tracy, Palo Alto, Half Moon Bay, Turlock, Southern California, Hawaii, Germany and Austrailia. Business Owner
Gar Chan graduated in biology in 1976 from the University of California, Irvine, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco in 1980 and began private practice in 1981.
His extensive advanced dental training and experience includes cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, pedodontics, periodontics and orthodontics. Routinely he takes over twice the number of continuing education units required for licensure renewal and is an active participant in several study clubs.
Dr. Chan works with his wife, Rhona Lee, who joined the practice in 1984 as the dental hygienist. The couple have nurtured two children, Allan and Erin, who graduated respectively from UCSD in engineering and UCD in design and studio art. In his spare time Dr. Chan is an avid runner, occasionally does marathons and belongs to the South Valley Runner’s Club. His weekends are spent in training and home ecology projects.
