Brownell Academy Middle School

I am an Ex-​Student and promoted a couple years ago. Wonderful school, the teachers are brilliant and I believe it should be a top rated school. My only issue was the staff. Not the teachers, but the administration. I am a top performing student and have had a clean slate for discipline since I even started school. Particularly, the yard supervisors bullied me. I was constantly accused of doing all these bad things, like smoking in the bathroom. I was sent to the office so they could smell my hands and say they smell like smoke coated with lotion! At a dance, I guess I wore a tank top that was not allowed and they made me go change into my PE clothes and sit inside on the floor, not get a refund, and watch everyone else. Of course, I was the laughing stock. The discipline lady at the time, I’m not sure if she is still there, labeled me as a bully and announced to every one in the office they need to keep a close eye on me. My mom went many times to fight my cases. Unfortunately, no action could be taken and I would be picked on the next day. If your student becomes the choice of the day or in my case, their choice for the remaining 3 years, don’t fret to report it. Otherwise, the education and teachers are extraordinary!
