Excellent buffet tasted great, although the selection is little on the small side. Good customer service they were nice and friendly. I would recommend you go if ever in the Georgetown area.

Their takeaway is really good! Hot, fresh, and they’re very generous, reasonably priced, and accommodating. Great little place.

Ok it’s Americanized Chinese food. But you get your money’s worth! I highly recommend the egg full young. If you order off the menu it’s the best. Everything is very flavorful. My husband really loves the walnut prawns. Buffet is good and tasty, best day is Sunday before the church crowd. Everyone is friendly, and yes on busy days, or holidays the kids help out. What I really appreciate is its a family business, in a small town with a big menu. We come here at least once a month and they know us by name.

This restaurant is absolutely AMAZING! The food is always exceptional and the service is friendly and just right! I have eaten here more than 30 times and I have never been disappointed even with one dish or 1 item. The selection is large and always fresh-fresh. Truly, if you have not visited the Royal Dragon then you are not eating the best Chinese food in Northern California. By the way, did I mention the awesome pot of tea and tea cups that come with the meal. You won’t go anywhere else after you have experienced the Royal Dragon.

Nice little place for a quick bite. The buffet can get low at times, but if you ask, they will fill up whatever you are looking for(Egg Foo Yung). Our party came in between lunch and dinner buffet times one time, but there was still plenty of food at the buffet. So we asked if we could help them clear it out. They were happy, we were happy, Win, Win! It is your basic small town type Chinese Food. I worked in S.F. for years, and nothing compares to the food in China Town, but for what it is, I will come back again and again.

Best chicken chow main anywhere. I’ll always take it to go and Christine recognizes my voice every time. She’s the sweetest thing. Plus their prices are unreal for today’s food costs. Super bargain. Oh and no waiting time ever.

Good food, but horrendous time estimates on take out orders. They tell you 15 – 20 minutes and end up taking 45. Of course, the one time I go to pick it up a little bit later it’s sitting there ready. Then when you go to get it, they apologize and say that they got 10 orders within 5 minutes. Then why tell everyone 15 – 20 minutes? And I seriously doubt that many people ordered at 745 on a Thursday night

Food was tasty and fresh! Best Chinese food take out I’ve had in a long time. It’s the only place in town, but definitely the place to satisfy your take out craving! Took our order over the phone and were very friendly.

Whoever gives this more than one star obviously does not know what Chinese food is. this place is absolutely disgusting I swear they make their soup base from dirty gym socks because that is what it tastes like. their generals chicken was disgusting the sauce didn’t even taste like Chinese food. this place is absolutely gross I gave it this this second chance of going and I will never be back again! Seriously I’m going to go puke right now fucking gross

What is there to eat on your way through Georgetown? Chinese food! Fast friendly service and delicious chinese dishes! They also have a buffett which is usually looking pretty good. Of course if you arrive towards the end of buffett time pickins can be slim, but thats buffett culture for ya… get there earlier! I suggest the Kung Pao shrimp and their potstickers… even though everything Ive tried has been wonderful!

The buffet is so disgusting. Old, gross food. Order something fresh off the menu. Just don’t let them fill your plate from the buffet table. yes, that happened to me! Who does that?! If I wanted the crap from the buffet, I would have ordered the crap from the buffet. Pass.

Been going to Royal Dragon for years. Great food and nice people. If you’re going to have the buffet, try both soups together its delicious.

The best Chinese restaurant you will find in Georgetown. Okay, it is the only Chinese restaurant in Georgetown but it really isn’t half bad. The place is popular, note that the entire crew from the Georgetown F.D. eats there on occasion. Yes, there are better Chinese places in Sactown and S.F., but then again this is Georgetown my friends. The buffet is small, but the food is replenished and is hot and tasty, so what the hell? The owner is really nice and the place is clean so what more do you want? If you intend to order a meal and then walk out without paying, I would hope that the owner calls the sheriff and you find your ass in jail where you belong and might even find a hair in your jail food. Try walking out of that one!!!

LOVE this food, best Chinese in the area. I just moved here a year ago and ive tried a bunch of them and this is were i go. I dont hangout there, i get all my orders to go. They are almost always ready by the time we get there. HOWEVER they lost a star due to one time we had to drive our order back because i went in to get an order for TIM and she gave me an order for KIM. Always make sure she takes your number down with your name when you call ahead and make sure you check the number on the slip when you pick it up, shes a bizy chick and gets mixed up sometimes. She took it back no problem and very friendly. Foods great though.

For a small town like Georgetown it was a pleasant surprise to find Royal Dragon. We ordered a la carte and we were really pleased with the food. We did not try the buffet as we went there in the late afternoon and the buffet looked like it needed some replenishing, too small amouts left that may have been there for a while. But the a la carte was very good and prices were surprisingly reasonable.

Who knew you could find delicious Chinese food in a small town like Georgetown? The chow mein was some of the best I’ve had, and the service was great as well. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town!

In all honesty, I was a little worried about going to a Chinese restaurant in a mining town in El Dorado county that boasted a buffet. But we had a hankering for some vegetables that the local pizzeria wouldn’t be able to fulfill. So, we walked down from the American River Inn where we were staying and sat down for dinner. I think we were the odd ones out ordering ala carte rather than going all out at the buffet. We ordered the asparagus chicken, won ton soup, and one other dish I can’t remember. It was delicious! The asparagus was small and tender, and the won ton soup wasn’t your normal, run of the mill variety — it had Napa cabbage in it, the won tons were good sized, not monstrous nor tiny, and the broth was tasty. Any return to Georgetown would definitely involve another stop here!

Unilocal has it wrong, this place isn’t in Newcastle. It’s located on Highway 193 near Main St. in Georgetown, CA. I’ve been going to this place for 14 years now, and I love it. I compare all my Chinese food to the Royal Dragon, and I can’t find one better. The place is almost always busy, especially at night and on the weekends, so the service isn’t super great. However, since most people get the buffet, the service doesn’t matter. The food is good, egg rolls are awesome, and the atmosphere is nice. Parking sucks, so you may need to park at the bank next door, but for a small town place it doesn’t get much better. Oh, and it’s closed on Tuesdays, just to warn people.
