Some of the best hot sauce I have ever had. I had the bottled Zing on pizza and that was amazing. Keep up the good work Mikey.

I LOVE MIKEY V’s!!! I come here to get my Ghost Chili and Habanero powder blend. I love it because it adds heat to your food without altering the taste of your food. Last week I decided to try 9 Circles of Hell powder blend and it definitely packs heat and you can taste the flavor of the peppers. It’s wonderful how you can have heat and flavor at the same time. Mike, Thank you for adding extra «spiciness» to Georgetown!

The best shop In all of georgetown! If there ever was a slice of heaven on earth this would be it! As it flows it’s beautiful rivers of pure capsaicin, and Carolina reapers hanging from the tree. If you enjoy hot sauce you must come here!

This was one of the coolest places ever! I honestly had no idea hot sauce stores existed! My dad loves hot sauce, so I wanted to get him something local. We went in and ended up talking to Mike and he was so knowledgable and super friendly! I totally wish we could take one of there how to make hot sauce classes! Worth stopping in for sure!

Wow, we were surprised to see Mike today. He is usually off winning numerous awards for his heavenly salsas. The jams he sells are great too. Also carries good jerky, spices, & much more. For those of you who sample anything that sets your mouth on fire (and it just might), he has a supply of BlueBell ice cream snacks. You can’t go wrong when you stop at Mikey V’s. We will be back soon!

Spiciest jerky i’ve ever had in my life I love it! cute little shop with tons of samples and good things.

We decided to pick up a couple of bottles of wine from the Grape Creek Winery in Georgetown yesterday. Never been to downtown Georgetown before, so after we got our wines, we took a little walk in the town square. As I’ve grown a few Habanero pepper plants this year and attempted to make a Habanero hot sauce, I was really interested when I saw Mickey V’s hot sauce shop. The inside of the store is full of yummy samples to try. The owner Mikey is clearly very passionate about his creations and takes his time to explain how everything was made. We could taste whatever we wanted to, and decided to get some of the irresistible sweet ghost pepper sauce and crazy 7-​pepper Texas Ex’s salsa, which has Yellow Scotch Bonnet, Ghost pepper and Habanero to new a few. I’m not a pepper expert (yet), but the combination of these is magical, and you can easily identify the different flavor profiles of the individual peppers in the Salsa. As the bottle says, this salsa does bite back though. initially you may think you can handle it, but just wait 30 seconds ;-). I’ll definitely be back here when I run out of these (and that may be soon).

The samples are crazy good here. Mikey V definitely has it down! And everyone that works here is down to earth and really nice. Even as super busy as they were when we stopped by, the employees worked their way through to each person and let them know that if there was anything that wasn’t immediately out for sampling, you could ask them to open something up in the fridges and they would be more than happy to help. Unfortunately, I was tapped out from a long day and couldn’t decide on anything other than a small bag of fresh popcorn they had just popped. I’ll be back though!

The Texas Exes is the BEST hot sauce I’ve ever tasted. So fruity and complex and the depth of flavor totally makes it a special heat. I can’t wait to be back in Georgetown so I can buy more at the shop. And the shop was amazing. Customer service was exemplary and the lady at the counter was able to answer all my questions without blinking. Please stop in and support this amazing place!

Hot sauces are Mikey V’s religion. He is a savant of all things spicy, but most importantly he enjoys the best things in life. Family, Friends, & Food. While I admit he is a friend; Mikey V’s shop is original, & friendly. His shop is located in the perfect spot, nestled in the middle of downtown Georgetown which still embodies the feeling of small-​town USA. Shop local! Shop loyal! Bring milk (my tongue still burns).

I stumbled across this gem while shopping with my girlfriend. And they are so nice and have every kind of hot sauce you could want and more. What’s even better is you don’t have to question if it’s good or not you can sample everything before you buy. I will be coming back without a doubt. So glad I found this shop today.

Mikey V is single handedly spicing up Georgetown with his hot sauce and salsas!
I met Mike and his wife a couple years ago at a Unilocal event. I was very excited for them with their new venture of opening a store front. When I had dinner plans recently in Georgetown I decided to arrive early to check out his shop on the square.
The shop itself is stocked with some of central Texas’ best spicy products to include Yellowbird and of course MIkey V’s. You can taste just about any of the sauces, jerky etc that they sell. The employee working that evening was super sweet and described all of Mikey V’s sauces for us. I LOVED the salsas and wanted to take some home but we wouldn’t be home for hours and it needs to be refrigerated (will definitely get some next time). Besides delicious salsas and hot sauces Mikey also sells his spicy jerky and pickles too. We purchased the «Broke da Mout» seasoning, Mikey V’s Zing (mild hot sauce) and Mikey V’s Peach Habanero Delight. The Zing is very mild and delicious. The peach habanero nicely balanced with spice from the habanero and natural sweetness form pineapple and peaches. The peach habanero is awesome to cook with and at no surprise one first place at the 2013 Austin Hot Sauce Festival.
This is a must stop when in Georgetown. The products all have Mikey V’s Texas label making it a fun Texas gift to give to family and friends.

I visited Mikey V’s for the first time today and was immediately impressed! The staff members were eager to assist me and I ended up leaving very satisfied with my purchase! Very friendly environment with delicious salsas. I will definitely come back in!

Excellent shop, excellent sauces, excellent service.

I tried a bunch of their sauces and salsas and they are all really good. Super friendly service and I’ll be back for more. They have a lot of different sauces, but their selection isn’t gigantic. They do have enough for most different tastes though.
Go when they have samples it to get the full effect. They do have ghost chili stuff. And scorpion as well.

It’s always exciting to find a business where the owner’s passion shows through, and the product lineup is amazing.
I’ve only been to Mikey V’s once, but it’s going to be a monthly (or more) pilgrimage in the future. Everyone was extremely nice, and for a smaller shop, the variety is amazing. What’s better is that the products, including the ones not made by Mikey V’s, were hand picked for flavor and quality based on the owner’s [excellent!] taste.
Samples abound, and they’ll help you match your heat and flavor level to the products there. I loaded up on some of the Cowboy Reaper Jerky (hot as hades, but so addictive), a few Mikey V’s sauces (including the stellar Texas Ex’s), and a pretty unique Jalapeño Hemp variety called Weedeater.
Also, if you’re into Yellowbird sauces (and you SHOULD be), and don’t want to go to Wheatsville (it’s a great store, but a hike and almost always a pain to park), Mikey V’s stocks all of the Yellowbird varieties. I was a fan of the habanero before, but now I’m a devoted Yellowbird Serrano fan as well!
So, if you like hot sauce, passionate small business, or food in general, get yourself up to Mikey V’s. I don’t write a lot of Unilocal reviews, but I simply couldn’t let this gem go undiscussed!

My boyfriend and I Love hot sauces and hot peppers so we were excited to see this place opened in Georgetown. We bought the zing sauce, peach habanero sauce and garlic hot pepper salsa. They were all awesome and I like that you can taste samples before buying. We’ll definitely be back.

You know it’s a real thrill when someone you know gets their dream to come true. Mike and Tanya and their family have poured heart and soul into getting their brick and mortar to sell their product. Not only is Mike selling his stuff, but, he also supports other locals from Austin and a few from other areas in Texas. Support local, people.
I am a big fan of Mike’s products because I can go from mild to anal burn and enjoy a delicious flavor all the way. His original red salsa can’t be beat. Fresh, garlicy and robust. His Zing sauce is crazy wicked mildness that is so delicious on cream cheese and ice cream. The sweet ghost pepper sauce (my favorite) is simply fantastic on fish. Namely salmon.
Mike’s got a lot going on. He has some new products like spicy pickles and Texas Exes (a new salsa in a [flask]). This is the salsa the «bites back». I bought some for my eggs. He’s also sporting some jerky which I liked but got so wrapped up in everything else I forgot about it. Oh yeah, he also has freaking brownies!!! Crazy huh?
As for the locals he’s supporting, there are so many jams and jellies. But what really blew me away was the Red Raspberry Wasabi Mustard. Holy shit! Jesus Mother Mary of God! Another crazy moment for me was trying the Satan’s Blood. Pure chile extract at 800,000 SU. When I first put it on my tongue I was like «I don’t feel anything». Mike was like «Just wait.». Yep. It took about 30 seconds to deliver a heat to the back of my throat that just kept intensifying.
You want heat that allows you to have a nice bite while enjoying delicious flavor? Mikey V’s is the place. Seriously. If you are a non heat person, he can hook you up there as well. All in all Mike is fresh and local. He keeps it real and delivers a damn good product. In the words of Mike V; :Brok Da’ Mout”. Go check his store out, you are bound to find something you will like. Better yet, this store is perfect for buying a gift for someone.

I genuinely admire the people I know who are living their dream. Especially when they’re in the food industry. And I happen to like their food.
So I met Mikey V a couple of years ago when he was winning awards for his bottled sauces & salsas, and selling them at fairs & festivals & wherever. And today he’s got his very own spankin’ new brick & mortar in the middle of Georgetown. And a couple of years from now, when he’s a zillionaire from franchising or selling out to General Foods or whatever, I can say, «Good things happen to good people.»
In the meantime, you can check out & sample all his stuff at the new store, and I’ll tell you it’s hard to leave with just one thing. I guess I could also mention that before coming here, I’d never been to Georgetown before, because I always got it mixed up with Round Rock. But it seems to be its own pretty cool place. And hey, there’s that Monument Café I’ve heard a lot about. I’m curious how Mikey’s Zing would go with their Top Chop & ‘taters.

Absolutely fantastic. These guys have taken hot sauce, salsas, pickles, jellys, and ghost pepper brownies to the next level. Anyone reading this, it is a must to visit!

Our fellow Unilocal buddy opened up this little shop in Georgetown and we had to check it out. Was so glad we did. He has jerky, jellies, salsas, Spicy Dill pickles w/​ghost peppers, and more for sale. Saw some nice t-​shirts and some red chili pepper pierced earrings available for purchase too. He will also have Bluebell ice cream. We sampled several things. My wifey loved the margarita and also the sangria jellies. Said she found herself craving a frozen margarita or a glass of vino. I found some salsas with good taste and serious bite. We bought a bag of jerky, container of Original Salsa, and a bottle of Sweet Ghost Pepper Sauce. Mikey V’s has some Texas salsa at it’s best. Come by and open up your sinuses with some of his spicier selections.

Stopped in during the grand opening because my husband loves Mikey V’s fresh salsa and wanted to grab some. Nine or so items later, we were leaving the shop! They have a nice selection of local hot sauces, salsas, jellies, beef jerky and more, plus some other sauces that have been competition winners.
It was great being able to sample all of the items and I decided to get the cherry brandy jelly and Mikey V’s ‘Zing’, which is more on the sweet side and tastes delicious with cream cheese and crackers. Their selection will appeal to a wide array of preferences — from sweeter sauces, mild, medium, or hot sauces, to mouth on fire sauces and other unique flavoured items.
The store is easy to find in Georgetown square and is a nice addition to the other shops in that area. They also have several other snack items available for purchase like chips, popcorn, giant pickles etc. Staff were very friendly and willing to answer any questions about the products. Definitely check it out if you are in or around Georgetown, if you like to support and taste locally made products or if you love Mikey V’s products and want to be able to find them 100% of the time.

My wife and I came by for the opening of the new store on the square in Georgetown and had an awesome time! Everything in the store was open for samples and not only does he sell his award winning salsas and hot sauces, but there are a plethora of other local brands as well as pickled veggies, unique jellies, beef jerky, pepper extracts, and various other snacks in a quaint little shop.
My mouth was on fire as I sampled a couple dozen of the best salsa and hot sauces Texas has to offer, and we came away with a great haul of goodies ranging from a fantastic tomatillo ghost pepper salsa, hot garlic salsa, spicy pickled veggies, beef jerky, some Yellowbird hot sauces, Mikey V’s Sweet Zing, and my favorite, Mikey V’s original salsa. They’ve got something for everybody here, from chileheads to people who weren’t blessed with the gift of extreme heat tolerance, so you’re sure to find something cool (or hot) here regardless. Service is incredibly friendly, and the store is in a cool location for browsing and window shopping after you load up on goodies here.
Mikey is doing a fantastic job supporting lots of other local businesses, and award winning companies, who all make excellent products, which itself is worthy of the quick drive up I-​35 to visit the shop. Can’t recommend Mikey’s legitimately excellent quality products or the new store enough!

He opens Sunday March 1^st with grand opening March 7^th. The Georgetown Swirl will be happening also so a little hot sauce tasting mixed with local wine tasting.
