What happened? I loved this place and now I won’t go back. Great renovation and we were going at least once a month, I even had a couple of functions there. Last month I went in, wanted a fish sandwich that was always on the menu. Nope, only fish tacos. «Can you just take the fish and put it on a bun?» Nope, only fish tacos. 5 Easy Pieces with Jack Nicholson… Give me the fish taco’s, hold the salsa, hold the wraps, give me the fish and a bun and I’ll put it together myself. What a waste of a nice space. Not to mention you have to wait forever for someone to acknowledge you.

My husband and I like to go here on a Friday night after the range. Tonight(even after 7), there was a huge kids’ party in the room directly off the bar. Why would mgmt book a party of little kids in the open next to the bar on a Friday night?! They were running around and making tons of noise. It was so loud and completely ruined the atmosphere. We left the bar to sit outside where they could still be heard, but it was more pleasant. Service was slow, probably due to the party.

The pizza was good before. Now it’s great! The crust is better(more of a traditional Italian crust). They have new toppings(better). The place is clean, they pour a good cocktail and they are always changing their specials. If you like Biancis pizza from Revere beach(and who doesn’t), you’ll like this pizza.

I don’t know guys… You’re losing us! You keep changing the menus… weekly! You’re running out of stuff … You changed your pizza. C’mon. This is our«close to home spot» and you are ruining it! Management get it together. Please!

Are they opened or closed for business? When you call you get an inaccurate voicemail and no reply. Check hours online and made the trip over what a waste of time. The Black Swan Country Club was of little or no help with information… Stay away they are in disarray

We have gone to Holloway’s since it opened and we would have gladly given it 5 stars then! Great menu and great prices! We went right when it just reopened and would have given it 3 stars– it was very limited and prices went up– it just wasn’t as good– happy we gave it another chance tonight! Nachos were wonderful(lots of toppings layered throughout and not greasy at all) we got the special«chicken Caesar salad pizza» sounds weird but it was great! It looks like they have found their new groove since they«changed» yes menu is smaller but they had a full sheet of specials tonight and it looked as if they would keep that– give it another try if you went since it re-opened and were not happy with it!

Like the place looks nice with the golfing stuff but man sever came with my coke and forgot the lemon and I am like what. 5 seconds later she got my lemon. First bring the lemon with the coke for real. I got my burger it was a frozen patty. I could tell that got the patty that WAS frozen and put it in the oven the pizza was in the middle. The towels did NOTHING ok so to me this place was ish

I occasionally revisit the Unilocal reviews to see if there is an uptick in the reviews. This time I looked at the pictures which are from the old restaurant and in no way reflect the present conditions. None of the specials, apps or prices are reflective of the current place

Horrible horrible horrible. Wish I could give a(-) star. The manager was a complete jerk– would like to use another word but it would get reported! We got the Hawaiian pizza. Said pork belly. Pork belly is fatty bacon this was pork loin. It was gray. All the hostess could do is blame everyone else and the kitchen having issues. Hope the company running this restaurant goes out of business.

we have been there last season many times and were surprised with the 2015 menu which was nothing like the wonderful selections last year. I miss the FISHPOT, and TIPS and my wife missed the salmon selections, no longer the treat it use to be. food was ok from paltry choices, my fish and chips were pedestrian. Hey Phil you had a good thing that was growing however we were disappointed this time. We golf at Black Swan and will probably only do beers and maybe apps.

This place slashed their menu. They closed for the winter and opened back up a couple weeks ago. We stopped in for dinner, excited to have our favorite menu items we’d missed over the winter, but they were nowhere to be found. The staff seemed really demotivated by the negative feedback they were hearing from customers. Our server told us 3 other waitstaff didn’t show up for their shifts that night and the head chef(apparently the restaurants namesake) was quitting. Our server also left in the middle of our meal and another server completed our dinner service. The place was in disarray. Kind of a sad scene, particularly considering the good start they were off to last year and the lack of options in the area.

They did a nice job renovating this place! I’ve gone a few time with my wife and friends. The menu is quite limited but the place has a cool vibe! The pizza oven is really nice though admittedly I haven’t tried the pizza. The prices were reasonable and the bar is pretty solid. There are lots of TV’s to watch the game. It’s a nice place to have a burger and a beer after 18 holes on the course. They do tend to close early. Also, they are closed in the winter which is a bummer as there are not lots of options in the Georgetown area. As far as Georgetown restaurants… this is my favorite.

****They have gone down hill on food & service with the NEW owners. We used to go often but since the change we have been 2X. Food in consistent and hair in it. Very sad! Wait staff not good and the atmosphere is not relaxing.

Love this place. Service is always top notch and it’s a great local spot for delicious pizza, wings, steak tips, etc. It’s our new local go-to!

Great meal, great service. Mussels and calamari for apps, steak tips, salad w/salmon, beer and wine, and the best server named Katie! Huge portions(too big for me anyway). And didn’t give 5 stars for one reason; didn’t really care for the dressing on their interpretation of a Greek salad; it wasn’t bad, just not what I expected, but we’ll def be back.

For the longest time I avoided Holloway’s thinking that a restaurant attached to a country club was going to be stuffy and pricey. Given the two preceding establishments here, nothing could sway me otherwise until I just gave in and had a nice and«quiet» lunch with my then two year old daughter. Air quotes for the«quiet» because all parents realize a two year old at a restaurant is usually anything but quiet but then the pizza chef on our first visit and then Chris the bartender couldn’t be more accommodating to father/daughter luncheons. And then, there is the food… From the stone hearth pizza to the absolute hand cut fries, or even just the fresh fruit salad, everything is fresh. All of the food is outstanding, and all of the value is extraordinary. Plenty of parking, with family restaurant value with country club quality, check Holloway’s out ASAP. You will be glad you did.

UPDATE! Wow. What a difference. Came in tonight with my wife, 3 kids, a neighbor and her daughter. So, 3 adults and 4 kids ranging 4 – 7 years old. Our server was Vinny and he was a life-saver. This guy was great. Front staff was friendly and helpful. Helped me find my group as we had arrived a few minutes late. Kitchen staff even said hello as we walked in(by the pizza ovens) which was a very unexpected but welcomed greeting. Drinks were brought quickly, kids’ drinks were priority(always a plus for parents), service was friendly and approachable and all our questions were answered enthusiastically and genuinely helpful. We were not rushed to order but when we did, the order was correct and suggestions were made when we asked. Server(Vinny) was knowledgeable and genuine and got the our order correct. Food was great. Salmon, Chicken Parm, and Haddock for the adults. Chicken tenders and pasta for the kids. All were great. Appetizer was great(some kind of potato puff with cheddar)!! Kids’ included dessert was offered quietly(and accepted) to parents without inquiry and plates were removed relatively quickly by support staff and our server. Good job. Drinks were tasty and well-made and the rolls were piping hot and delivered without asking for them. One small problem with the check(there were two entrees on our check that should not have been) but Vinny quickly corrected the issue with apology and a smile. No problem at all. In all, a wonderful and fun experience with some good friends. Tonight was exactly the experience that I was hoping Holloway’s would be as my local eatery. My first experience here was at best pitiful. My second experience here was nothing less than almost perfect. Well done. I’m so happy to write this review. We will be back often and with friends. This place has the best buffalo fingers I have EVER had… if you like ‘em spicy, go with the fingers — more flavor than the wings. My husband and I have been to Holloway’s several times for lunch and once for dinner. The food is always amazing. We came on a Friday night(last friday, actually) and it was packed, but our waitress was great and the service was as I would expect a packed place to be. We had a bit of a wait, but not so much that any of us(there were 6 of us in the party) had an issue. The fish and chips are amazing. Lightly battered and cooked perfectly. The burgers are great, the sandwiches are great. I have nothing bad to say about Holloway’s! In fact, my husband and I are going there today for lunch.

IT’S GETTINGBETTER! Being a gtown resident and totally excited about this awesome renovation I have tried it 5 times. I’ll be honest and simple without going into crazy details. I have gone once almost every week since opening. The food was good and is now really good. I personally love the soft pretzels app and the skillet nachos. Not exaggerating the service was TERRIBLE and not experienced enough to handle the crowds and get orders straight. It was the worst I have ever experienced. I tried it again last night and guess what? THESERVICEANDFOODWEREGREAT! So excited to see things improving but they better work hard to perfect it cause a new place is soon opening and the buzz is peps may give up and move on to the new and well run/experienced place to come. I was so sad to see the negative reviews for this place. I had a completely opposite experience so I had to share! We came here Friday night(April 19th) and they were packed. The hostess sat us right away and we were immediately greeted by our server. The menu is on 8.5×11 paper but I just assumed that it was because they recently opened and hadn’t gotten their permanent ones yet. Either way, the paper menus didn’t bother me at all. The space looks amazing! I can’t believe what they did to the old Keon’s. It’s beautiful! The only thing I would recommend to them is that they dim the lights down a bit, the space would look even cooler then. The menu is a lot of fun and everything we had was delicious! We ordered the corn dogs with sriracha ketchup, their version of tater tots, a club sandwich, chicken parm, and baked halibut(or cod I can’t remember). I can’t wait to go back and try their pizzas and the pretzel sticks! Last but not least, the service. If anything I felt the service was overattentive. We had a couple of other servers even check on us. As I mentioned earlier the restaurant was packed so it took a little while for the drinks but it only gave us enough time to decide what to get for dinner. Not once did I feel unattended to or forgotten. Our food came out of the kitchen very quickly too. I think we were in the restaurant for maybe an hour. All in all, we had a great experience and I can’t wait to come back. I think this restaurant is exactly what Georgetown needed and I’m so excited that they opened in town.
