This is my least favorite H-​E-​B grocery store. It’s small and it is not well-​kept. The associates seem very friendly however I choose not to shop at this H-​E-​B due to the lack of variety. I guess it’s an all right store if you’re here just to pick up a couple of things.

I have shopped here for a long time and the staff keep getting more rude each time I come in. Have had numerous rude experiences. They act put out to check you out. Horrible to customers. Hope they hire new people when they redo the store that want a job. I would rather just check myself out and bag it myself. The pharmacy staff remain professional and helpful.

This location has the basic fare but nothing extra fancy. It is a much smaller, older H-​E-​B but for what it offers it’s just fine. Customer service could be improved and so could the sanitation.

Honestly by any measure, this store «is the pits»!!!
AGAIN​.at around 10:00p on a Tuesday night, only 2 registers open, looked like the «20’s a Crowd» cashier backup strategy was well in effect, but STILL, no backup call. Has reached a whole NEW LOW! Also, over charged on 3 items days ago, and produce was inedible.
For years, complained to managers directly at this Store, and also about these «misdoers» to managers at the store near Sun City, but you know how that goes, just look at their actions vs. what they say, then decide… they don’t get it!
HEB, pls. go away??? a word… S P R O U T S or another 2… Trader Joes!

This HEB was small. Why are they only getting a 1 star? Well, while shopping with my 2 year old. I see a mouse run across the floor and towards our feet! My two year old got scared and I jumped because I didn’t want it crawling on me. We definitely made a scene. it stopped in the middle where the check out lines were and another guy looked at it n walked up closer and it ran away. I do not know if it came from the store, but there was a lady in a wheelchair shopping cart that it was following. haha

I hate having to go to this HEB. I normally drive to the HEB on 1431 by Ikea, but when I do not have time I stop here. This is a ghetto HEB. Small, run down, and questionable clientele. The parking lot is a nightmare too.
The produce section is pitiful. A 7 – 11 would have a fresher selection. The fruit is often bruised, rotting, or just not stocked well. Every section is super small, and I’m tired of going in there and not finding what I want.
I’m HOPING HEB will finally decide to build a full size HEB to replace this one.

My wife had quite the experience there today. While she was paying she asked the cashier by the name of Joe C. (Older man with shaved head and dark skin) why HEB Georgetown I-​35 kept making all of their announcements in Spanish. The cashier laughed at her then turned to the people that were behind her putting their groceries on the conveyer belt and said, «did you hear this lady» while shaking his head side to side and continuing to laugh. This just confirms that Georgetown, TX is nothing less than a safe haven for illegal immigrants that are sponsored with jobs by HEB.
How can the store Managers, Michelle K and Chris W, justify the employment of a disrespectful man with absolutely no customer service skills?

Well how do I really start this horrible experience. I am a true H.E.B loyal customer that had a rude experience with Jake in customer service yesterday. This man has no customer service skills he was rude and laughed at my request which was taken care of by Aric. I only had flowers that say guaranteed 7 days and they wilted in two so all I wanted to do was exchange. And I was purchasing @ $ 20.00 more from the store. This rude man laughed at me. Totally not cool. I’ve had a couple of complaints with customer service in the last three years. Maybe that’s suppose to be acceptable. But I think not, every customer should be the most important. Jake really should be in the rear of the store stocking not helping customers!
I hope this man can get sensitivity training. Aric did a great job moving out Jake who was laughing the whole time I was explaining to Aric, he ordered Jake to be polite and exit the counter.

By far the worst HEB I have ever been in. I love HEB and have family that work for HEB and it *PAINS* me to write this review. However, I went to this HEB for the first time yesterday and I am so sorry that I even stepped foot into this place. The customers were rude (blocking aisles, not saying excuse me, hit me with a cart and didn’t apologize), the store is nasty and dirty, the deli department (as someone else mentioned) smelled rank… but not in the bad meat/​cheese kind of way… like in the bathroom at Walmart kind of way. My issues continued when I got to the check out and my checker didn’t know how to work the register, do the simple task of scan coupons, or bag groceries without putting two cans of corn on top of my fresh bread (MORON). Then, to make matters worse, the Manager MEL had to become involved and it was seriously down hill from there. They had to take me to the business center trying to get my discount card straightened out, waited there five minutes with my frozen food slowly defrosting, then ultimately got taken to another register where another rude cashier proceeded to tell me my discount card wasn’t active (another MORON because I used it this morning in Round Rock and it worked JUST FINE), then they proceeded to double charge me for my groceries because-​according to the dim-​witted manager– I hadn’t «paid» for my groceries. I tried to explain to the manager and the cashier that the first cashier had already ran my card and I had already paid for the groceries. They both disagreed and made me swipe my card again. When I voiced my concerns, both twits basic response was «I don’t know what to tell you, I just work here»… yeah, and you are part of the problem of this store in general. Low and behold, I get home and my ATM card was charged TWICE. Now, granted, the second charge was removed this morning, but the fact is that two holds for $ 114 was put on my checking account. Do you normally have an extra $ 114 laying around for HEB to put on hold? Because, I don’t. I will never go back there and I’ve filed a complaint with their corporate office.

This HEB is always super crowded with tiny aisles, but the guy at the Deli counter was very nice, and so is the manager lady in the make-​up area. She always says, «May I help you?» Don’t take that like she’s a security guard or anything. If you say, «Yes.» She knows where all the products are and can help you find stuff really fast and can even recommend popular items! She’s pretty nice. The employees are pretty helpful, and the prices are cheaper than Wal-​mart. Some people call it «the ghetto HEB» because there is a fancy-​shmancy one on the other side of Georgetown, but I love my little HEB and there is no way in heck I am driving all the way across town when this is a mile from my house! It is pretty crowded, but I still like it a whole lot!

I live out in the county and float around between this HEB, the Williams Drive one and one in Cedar Park and one in Leander.
This is my favorite.
It’s the oldest but it’s just the right size.
Whenever I gripe about something they take care of it.
The people are friendly and HEB is just a great store anwyway.

I think this HEB must be the red-​headed stepchild of all the HEB’s. I usually skip over this one and head to Round Rock. They have a very limited selection. The deli area seems to smell (different smells each time.) I will usually go only for very basic things that you could find at any grocery store. No specialty items here, folks. The place looks run down as some of the shelves are simply empty. The staff are always friendly and willing to help you. I just wish they could work in a nicer store and I wish I could grocery shop closer to home.

So, I’ve been in G’town for eight months, and neglected to write a review about my new «My H-​E-​B». Dreadfully remiss, especially considering that I’m the Duke. Sorry, My H-​E-​B. This store reminds me of my first «My H-​E-​B” – the late, great Lake Creek store *sniff* It’s about the same size – not a mega-​store; just big enough. And a quarter mile away. Easily within the Golden Radius. Like my old H-​E-​B, this is a three-​star store, but the niceness of the employees bring it up to a four. These are absolutely the nicest, most pleasant and helpful people there can be. The store is stocked with everything I need to get by in my weekly routine – while lacking some of the specialized gourmet areas of other H-E-B’s, I can easily thrive on this store’s offerings without feeling even a hint of deprivation. Most importantly – though since my heart surgery, I’ve drastically curtailed my Friday night ritual of drinking 24 oz tall cans of Bud Light Cheladas – they do sell them, for 2 bucks and change; should I ever decide revisit that hallowed rite one Friday.
So, all-​in-​all, while not as big, or fancy or sparkly as other H-E-B’s can be, my new «My H-​E-​B» is a four-​star store, all the way!

Well. What else is there to say… once Sun City years ago opened. this place was doomed, yet said… The employees are Friendly… Im sure most are local residents… Easy in… Easy out… Not a huge selection… but User Friendly… Just the Basics… But still a Local Favorite.

I love this HEB. It’s small, yes, but I can find what I need and be out in a jiff. This place gets packed, so navigating the parking lot can be… interesting. There seems to be a traffic jam almost every time I come here right at the front doors. Not a great place to put the «claw» games. Since the store is a smaller HEB, the selection is a bit smaller than, say, the HEB Plus… but they still have some pretty good selections. The «Partners» are pretty friendly and helpful. The guys in the meat market ALWAYS help us find the best bang for our buck, even offered to cut some thicker steaks for us on more than one occasion. I shop here about 3 – 5 times a week. I LOVE how it is just around the corner from home and work.

I’m going against the other reviewers and given their cult-​like love for this location, I’m a little worried! But here goes…
This location stinks. It’s small, grungy, I cannot find any of the items I want because they don’t exist here. No bulk foods, no hippy foods, no Central Market, tiny produce section, abysmal wine selection. There’s only a few kinds of peanut butter, we’re talking serious first world problem stuff here! The parking lot situation borders on dangerous on a busy day. What is with those speed bumps from hell that you have to navigate your cart around? It reminds me of a large 7 – 11.
Inevitably I end up shopping here about 50% of the time because the location IS convenient. But then I can’t find half the things I want and just have to go to the other Georgetown HEB anyway. Because I want 65 kinds of peanut butter and organic mystical apples from the hills of far away lands, dammit! (But I don’t want to pay Whole Foods’ prices for them. That’s how HEB gets ya’.) True, I have to dodge seniors at the other location but that store is just a bazillion times nicer. And I think the staff is much more pleasant at the bigger one. The cashiers and baggers are consistently grumpy at this HEB, but I can’t say I blame them. I certainly wouldn’t want to work there either.
So there. I said it. I hate this HEB.

The absolute craziest thing about this HEB, is that everyone likes the fact it’s a small store, and yet, this was the setting for ‘Foodland’ in the Johnny Depp/​Leo DiCaprio movie «What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?» Kid you not. It was used to depict a huge mega-​store «miles away on the interstate.»
As for the store, the parking is always lame. There’s no easy way around it. You have to push your cart uphill to your car, or park where it’s impossible to get out of.
The produce usually turns 2 to 3 days after purchase, I only buy produce here when it’s going to be consumed right away.
On the plus side, near the mayo, you can get Baconnaise without having to buy it off the web!
They have sushi now.
This place has carry-​out as standard. Take that, walmart!
My kids loooove the Buddy Bucks. Try to get a register close to the Buddy Buck machine, so they can get done with that and stay where you can see them while the bagger loads your cart for you.
I’ll keep coming back, just suspicious about the fruits.

I moved to Georgetown from Austin awhile back. After moving in my apartment I ventured out to see the town which took a good 10 minutes since its so small. This HEB store is about 1 mile from my place and I am a regular. I usually come here every few days. I am currently in a Mayorship war on Foursquare with a few others who frequent this store regularly. What I love about this store is it reflects my new enviroment. Its small like the town. Its a classic HEB. Its not one of those Mega HEBs that sell water beds, home theaters, clothes, etc. So you dont get lost in here. It has the classic layout, veggies fruits on the right side of store, breads to the left of that and so on… Its a small HEB. And thats what I love about it.

This heb is 10x better then the heb across town. Its also in a perfect spot.

This is a small store. I have experienced poor service in the Deli. I promptly spoke with a manager, got all my angst out, and moved on. I LOVE this store because it is small. In the large stores I tend to wander around aimlessly, lost in all the products unable to find what I need. This store is easy to navigate, has all the items I seek in predictable spots.
Down side, this store is also popular, items sell out, so if you shop late in the day, you may not find what you want.
I hope this store survives all the growth and does not succumb to closing for a megastore to open in its stead!
OH, get the small carts here, it would make the store easier to navigate. I love the small carts, even in the mega stores.
