We carry an enormous selection of designer spectacles and contact lenses, from brands like Prada, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Versace, Juicy Couture, Coach, Ray Ban, Ralph Lauren, Carrera, Fossil, Saks Fifth Ave, and Oakley.

History

Established in 2006.

Dr. Chip Richardson, an eye M.D., started Georgetown Eye Care from the ground-​up. After medical school and his three year eye-​surgery residency at the University of Kentucky, he spent a year in private practice while designing and building his special Georgetown office. He has built the practice into one of the premier regional ophthalmic practices. Patients are the center of our attention – something that is hard to find in these days of managed care. Georgetown Eye Care does not co-​manage or share your follow-​up care with other eye doctors. We believe in the sanctity of the Hippocratic Oath and treat every patient with dignity and respect. We perform our surgeries right in Georgetown.

Business Owner

William «Chip» Richardson is a board certified ophthalmologist, an eye M.D. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Kentucky. His practice interests include general ophthalmology and cataract surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

Dr. Richardson’s collegiate experiences include a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, with a focus in molecular genetics, and a medical degree from the Ohio State University. During residency, he performed National Institute of Health sponsored research in ophthalmology and studied optical dispensing with Dennis Peck of Peck Opticians in Lexington — one of the most highly respected opticians in the area.
