Our spa specializes in all things holistic. We aim to provide services for mind and body with the goal of assistance in each individual’s attainment of health, happiness and inner peace. Our thought process and the materials we use are all organically derived. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff can work with any client by way of floatation, salt therapy, detoxification or cell invigoration with such tools as infrared sauna, massage or acupuncture, nutrition counseling, emotional freedom techniques, vitamin D/​skin light therapies, hyperbaric chamber therapy and more. We also offer group services to form a sense of community working toward the goal of health, happiness and peace.

History

Established in 2014.

Leah and Eric, the owners, went through life like anyone else– busy, busy, busy! Working many hours and with a bustling family life, they thought they hadn’t the time to take a step back and focus on those things that they felt were really important in life– health, happiness and peace. Leah was then diagnosed with a serious chronic illness in early 2014. After learning to meditate and beginning to use most of the modalities that are offered at Salternative Spa, Leah started her path toward recovery and now feels better than she did before she was presented with the illness. Leah and Eric dreamed of a place with a sense of community where people came to feel great and share with and support one another in the process of finding that peace. That is what Salternative Spa is– it aims to truly change the pace of your life and get you where you need to be to just feel amazing and go beyond the craziness of life by way of those important factors of health, happiness and inner peace.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Leah grew up in Indiana then moved out to NYC to work in marketing for a huge corporation that moved her around the US. She then opened up multiple franchise businesses before going to law school and working as an attorney in a huge law firm and having a whole lotta kids. All of this was great but her passion was health and peace. She started by reading Mercola’s newsletters then going out on her own to research ways to be naturally healthy and happy. She was so amazed and grateful with how life seemed to improve the more practices she put into place that she wanted to share those practices with the community. After diagnosed with a gnarly illness, Leah worked toward healing and used the modalities available at the spa: meditation, acupuncture, hyperbaric chamber, essential oils, vitamin D therapy and more to get to feeling her best again. It’s now her passion to help folks learn about these complimentary therapies and create a community of well, happy and peaceful people.
