Tritek Window Tinting

This is my first time ever having to get my car windows tinted, being the fact that I’ve always bought cars with tint on them already. But my new car didn’t have it so, I relied on my friends and Unilocal for help!
Majority of my friends got their windows tinted at Tritek and told me that they never disappoint, and boy were they right! From the moment I walked in until the moment I walked out, I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy anyone can give. These guys are definitely professionals!
They initially told me it would somewhat be a 2 hour wait, however, they were done about an hour and a half into it! Quick and thorough! The tint looks fantastic! They have different types of tints you can choose from, along with warranty. I’ll be sure to recommend them to anyone in need of tint! After today, I won’t go anywhere else!

The $ 900 tint job.
It all started with a car purchase in 2015. The vehicle, an Audi, did not have any tint. As a next step, I started the tint selection process and decided on Tritek in Dallas. I was able to secure an appointment the next day and brought my car in to be tinted. When I showed up, David showed me the different types of tint available and how they reacted to radiant heat. I made a selection (Ceramic film 35%) at a price of $ 292.28, the installers took the car back and the tint was installed. After the installers pulled the car around, I noticed the tint install quality was great — no bubbles and clean. I got in the vehicle, fired it up and noticed a new warning signal appeared on my dash indicating the center brake light was out. I did not think much of it as I have had light outages on previous Audi’s in the past and drove home.
Fast-​forward a few months. I took the car to the dealer to complete annual maintenance and have the pesky center brake light indicator fixed. While at the dealer, I got the news that the center brake light assembly had been broken. I was asked by the tech if I had recently had tint installed and I replied yes. It now made sense to me why the brake light indicator came on immediately after the tint job.
I ended up calling David to let him know what had happened and asked him if we could figure out a way to resolve the broken center taillight as a result of the tint job. He ended up telling me that it was not his problem and there was nothing he could do about it. I ended up thinking how crazy it is to spend close to $ 300 on tint and then have to resolve broken parts as a result of the process.
It ended up costing $ 600 to fix the broken center taillight just so the vehicle would pass inspection. Total tint job and repair came in at over $ 900. Bottom line: While I am happy with the tint and how the product is holding up, I am disappointed with the negligence demonstrated during the install and the lack of ownership of the issue.
For the lack of customer service, I am giving Tritek a low rating. Buyers beware –do not expect any resolution to post-​install issues and question any warranty promised by the company. Find a tint house that will not break your car and if they do, one that will take ownership of the issue and fix it.

This is the first vehicle I purchased from a dealership where tint didn’t come on/​with the car since I moved down here in 1998.
Did my research with different tint companies for my 2015 Dodge Dart, since it sits at the train station all day long in the heat.
Tritek truly lives up to the reviews I read on Unilocal; they did absolutely an exceptional job! Very clean, no bubbling was seen and I used the Charcool tint.

If you read the various car owner forums, you’ll find only a couple places mentioned as the best place to tint your car. This place is the best. David Chukhman (president of Tritek) is available via email or phone with any questions. He responds the same day and is knowledgeable and courteous.
Dropped my car off on a busy Saturday and it was done by the end of the day. Definitely recommend either ceramic or Wincos for the UV and infrared rejection. Looks great and professionally done. They also tint for local dealerships and exotics.
It’s a bit of a drive (in Garland) but worth it. It’s in an industrial part of town. They play Fast and Furious on the TV.

Been here before and they do legit work. Super fast as well. They tint my other Lexus and it came out great so I came back for my new Lexus and man oh man it’s a nicccce.

It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, but it’s worth the trek. They did a great job, were personable & explained everything to me. I was warned it would take a few hours so I sat outside and read a book. I’d definitely recommend them, plus if you register online with them you save 10%. Overall a great experience.

Man outstanding service. I just got a new car and wanted it tented so I came to Unilocal looking for recommendations for a place. There guys not only had the most reviews but they have the most positive reviews. So I tried them out and they lived up to the hype. There guys was super fast where I was being told by other tinting business anywhere from 2 to 6 hours that had my car done in about 40 minutes if that. My girlfriend recently got a new car but did not have the windows tinted. I found Tritek online and set an appointment for a Friday afternoon. We dropped the car off and 2 hours later we got a call and it was ready for pick up. No hassles and a great finished product.

After having my car for 9 years I finally decided to get my windows tinted. Wish I wouldn’t have waited so long! The workers here are professional and did a great job on my 2005 Honda civic coupe. Paid $ 200 for 5 windows, and spent the extra $$ on getting the lifetime warranty and sure glad I did. About 3 weeks after I had it done, the tint on my drivers side window started peeling. I took it in a week later and they had it fixed in about 2 hours. Haven’t had problems with it since. I couldn’t deduct a star for it peeling because, things happen, and getting the lifetime warranty is just for that. I’m just glad they were able to fix it promptly! Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good quality tint done at a great price!

This place was recommended by our inspector when our car failed its first inspection in Texas. Tritek got the car in the next day, matched the tint to the other windows, and did a nice job. Reasonably priced (comparable to Groupon «deals»).

Called day of and managed to get in an appointment (Tritek is a busy shop so def call ahead!). After searching Unilocal for a quality tint shop for my brand new Fiat, we made the drive to Tritek/​Garland from Irving, which wasn’t too bad. The only thing I cared about (more than distance & price) was quality of tint and I’m very satisfied in the quality of work my car received. As soon as my car was finished (about 2ish hours from dropping it off), we headed back over to find tint perfection; I don’t see any bubbling but just in case, I was told to keep the windows up for a few days. Not sure if it’s all in my head but my car even FELT cooler after letting it sit in the sun for a bit. It’s definitely worth getting the upgraded tint!
Keep in mind, even if you have tint on your windows, you should still wear sunblock, skin cancer is a very real thing.

David, the owner of Tritek Window Tinting, did the tint on 3 of my vehicles and I have always been pleased with his professionalism and the quality of the work done on my cars. I had always heard great things about the work they have done, especially on exotic and luxury cars. Once I had my first car done, I understood why he has such a great reputation. Tritek in Garland is my only choice for my window tinting in the future.

I sent an inquiry online and got a reply the next day from David and we schedule a morning appt I come in at 9am sharp, I was helped within a few minutes. Lance went over the 3 options they have. I went with the Wincos which had the best IR rejection.
Granted it was a bit pricey at $ 380, the job was done in less than 1.5 hours. I was instructed not to open the windows for 3 – 5 days and if there were any bubbling, they could fix it. After 8 days, I still haven’t opened the windows just to be on the safe and safer side.
The Wincos comes with nationwide warranty which means I can take it to any Wincos installer. There is also a lifetime warranty through Tritek. The car was left slightly dirty with what appeared to be white powder
After the 7^th day, these are my findings: a defect in the rear tint and one bubble. I contacted David and he got me in on one day notice. The guys replaced it quickly (within 45 minutes). After 8 days there are still two bubbles that won’t go away. Getting a bit annoyed so I took it back for the third time. Service was excellent from David.
Overall excellent communication and decent service. I would take my future cars to Tritek and highly recommend them to my friends.

Disappointed so far. Brought my husband’s car in and paid $ 260 for the whole car with a lifetime warranty. Everything looked good at first except for glue left on a lot of the windows. Then my husband noticed hand prints on the back window (in between the glass and the tint) and he brought it back and they tried to tell him it was something he did. Because we got the lifetime warranty they agreed to redo the back window but he’d have to bring it on a different day when they weren’t busy. So yesterday we had it redone and now it looks worse. No handprints but it’s covered in air bubbles!!! AND they broke the clip for the shade that pulls up over the back window and didn’t tell him! He’s going back to make them fix it and pay for the part they broke. Not worth the money! Will update when he gets it re-​done, AGAIN!

1 year after adding tint, I still feel the tint work is making a big difference in heat reduction in my car.

I got my windows tinted on 21-​Aug-​2013, and here is my experience & review.
In one sentence i will say these guys are not great because of bad communication, and attitudes they put up. They basically are not open to more 2 questions. I was asking questions to figure out what was best in value tint for old car, and told them i need something good for 3 years.
They were not willing to give me a quote easily, and only after i asked 2 – 3 times they did. I felt these guys are little lazy. They did not help me with detailed information, and it was not like i was bothering at busy hour either.
The output of the tint is nice so far since its been week only. The new tint really seems to
cutting down heat trapped inside of my car. My camping yesterday was great because of this.
I recommend everyone should do their research first, and then go to these guys. Because they are not willing to tell you about their work, or value. I think i went to them because were pretty close to my office, and my camping time was approaching fast.
Somebody should go tell them, Attitude is Altitude.

An extraordinary customer experience is always worth 4 stars to me, but I generally reserve that 5^th star for those who truly go above and beyond. And while great work says great things about a company, the way they handle a misunderstanding can say even more.
As a first-​time tint buyer I didn’t quite know what I was asking/​looking for. Without going into all the detail, the finished product did not look exactly like I envisioned. The situation wasn’t anyone’s single fault and I definitely could have been more clear in what I wanted to have done.
David was exceedingly nice about it and offered to replace the tint at no additional charge.
I’m thrilled with Tritek not only because my car looks amazing, but because they are an amazing company to do business with. If there’s one place I would not hesitate to trust to stand behind their work, this is it. If you’re looking for a place to get your tint done, stop looking, call David, and get it done right at an outstanding price.
For anyone who is shopping around because you found a Groupon or something for a cheaper tint, you STILL should go with Tritek. I started looking because I saw a $ 149 Groupon for another place: Tritek’s price was the same as the other guy’s Groupon price, and Tritek also removed my previous film for cheaper than those guys would have. No damage to the defrost or GPS on the back windshield. That plus Tritek’s great reputation make it a no-​brainer.

These guys are professionals and get the job done! Not to mention they work ridiculously fast!
