Triple A Muffler Complete Auto Repair

Triple A Muffler has served my family for years and has always done a wonderful job. We have known Bobby and his staff for over 15 years, and he has taken care of just about all of our auto needs. The best thing about Triple A is that they have always given us quality service and fair quotes. They do a wonderful job of treating clients with the upmost respect and honesty. My family and I will always come here for our auto needs.

I’ve worked with Bobby Evans on a couple of different occasions with regards to exhaust work. They’re courteous, fast, professional, and their prices are better than all the other exhaust shops in the area. I highly recommend them for front end alignments too. My truck model is notorious for being difficult to align and they went the extra mile to make sure not only my wheels were properly aligned… but my steering wheel was too.

I was greeted by friendly staff as soon as I walked in the door. I explained what I needed and was told it would be about a hour and a half wait before they could get me back to check it out. The wait time was accurate.
When the tech checked out my car, he came to tell me what was found and what was needed. He was friendly and not the least bit pushy. I gave him the go ahead and was told it would be another 90 minute wait before they could get the car on the rack because there were two others in front of me.
A little more than 90 minutes later, but less than two hours, they said my car was ready and check out was quick and easy.
While sitting in the waiting area I heard them make multiple calls to customers telling them their cars were ready. They also made calls to update customers on what problems they found. The staff told customers «we found this and this, but you don’t really need this or you could put off this until your ready».
There was no pushy sales people and I didn’t witness anyone trying to add aditional services to that were not needes. If anything they were trying to save their customers money.

I can’t say enough GREAT things about this place. They have top notch service and not to mention the customer service is the best I’ve experienced in a long time.
I took my car in for a check engine light that turned out to be a nightmare for all involved. They went about and beyond the call of duty to ensure my car was fixed and I was happy.
They have earned a customer for life…

Took my car there for diagnosis of two problems: 1. Transmission fluid leak and 2. Rough idle. After looking at my car they mentioned that it needed a tune-​up kit for the rough idle and that the transmission leak required the transmission to be pulled as it coming from a torque converter (which they apparently don’t do). They said it would be ready in 2 – 3 hours. After three hours of waiting, I went over there to see my car outside. I asked the service representative if my vehicle was ready and his reply was: «the mechanic is finishing it up come back in an hour.» After coming back an hour later, I talked them again and they said they just got done with the invoice but hadn’t had time to call me, although my vehicle hadn’t been worked on since the last time I visited. So one of their service people lied to me, great. I inspected their service order (new plugs and coils) and those were new so they completed the work they charged me for on the invoice. Upon driving it home the idle was still rough. They didn’t solve the only issue they worked on. Second, I ended up taking it to another shop for the tranny leak, and they said it was just the dipstick tube, which they replaced and voila no more leak.
In short, theses guys aren’t very competent take your car elsewhere unless you like throwing money at amateurs.

I wrote a review in November and I’m making an update. I would like to further my review to include extra excellence in customer service.
They installed a new battery for my car in November and it wasn’t quite hooked up properly. Long story short, it wound up running out of juice and I had to take it back in today. This isn’t necessarily the best of situations, but Triple A handled their mistake exactly how they should. They replaced my battery quickly and didn’t try to charge me a dime.
This is how good customer service works. If they had tried to charge me for their mistake they would have lost my business. But they didn’t. They fixed it and now they have more years of loyal business from me.

I went to my usual auto repair for an oil change and state inspection but they ran out of sticker so they recommended me down the street to Triple A muffler. The place has no parking for customers on a Saturday so I drove around twice looking for a space. The service was decent. They told me it would be a two hour wait for both the oil change and the state inspection.
I was fine leaving my car there for 2 hours although it was usually one 30 min at my usual place. They said they will call me once they’re done. I left it there at about 10am in the morning and decided to call back at 4:00pm in the afternoon. They told me it was done and I could come and pick it up. Not even five minutes later someone else called me and told me hey, your car is ready to be picked up. Are you seriously kidding me? I just called to check on it and five minutes later they acted like they’re doing their job calling me to let me know it was ready. Six hour later!
I went and got my car and the bill came out to be a lot more than what we agreed on. I looked at it and realized they changed out the windshield wiper without my consent. I don’t know if the state inspection required a new windshield wiper for it to pass or not but at least give me a call and get me my consent before changing it and charging me for it. It really is simple as saying «hey, we can’t pass inspection on your car if you don’t change out the wiper» or «Your wipers are really old, we recommend changing it out so you can pass state inspection».
I would not be coming back again!

I was recommended this shop by a co-​worker/​friend whose family has been going there for over 20 years. It was out of my drive range, but well worth it! The cost to fix my broken mirror and brakes/​rotor was so reasonable! I left there spending less than I thought. Not to mention, it was fast service! I will definitely use this shop again!

Have to say Triple A saved me again this morning… second time this month. It was a simple fix but they got me right in and out! Awesome job!

Best customer service I have ever had at a mechanic. I will never take my car anywhere else again. Honest, reliable, quick, informative, and they have the best prices in the area. They always give me a clear explanation of the problem and a fair quote before they start any work. On several occasions, the final price has been less than the original quote! I always feel valued and satisfied when I leave Triple A. (Also, this Triple A is in Garland. There is an unrelated and more expensive mechanic in Mesquite with the same name. They are not the same company.)

They forgot that my car was waiting to be inspected and diagnosed for the squeaking I hear when in motion; the employee forgot to write a «W» for waiting on my paper – Hey I understand everyone gets busy or makes mistakes–
Turns out they only had about an hour to look @ my car before the end of the day– they told me it needed a $ 120 part for the squeaking sound. I CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY FOR MY WORK– When I got into my car, the sound was still obvious– so they DIDNT CHECK MY CAR TO ENSURE the sound was gone. I believe the day they looked @ my car they were in a hurry and just did a haphazard job @ properly diagnosing my issue.
They are busy and do a lot of business– who knows if my voice will even matter.

We have been using Triple A for years and it was confirmed as to why today! They replaced a water pump in my daughters car that they had replaced a little over a year ago at no charge, same day!!! They are honest, affordable and dependable. Most places would have «found» something else wrong to be able to charge you, but they know how to keep loyal customers coming back! Thank you for taking such excellent care of me and my family!!!

I really wanted to love this place, but my first impression was not amazing. One of Triple A’s current customers has come around a few times marketing to my place of employment. After receiving a 10% off coupon, I decided that I would try them out for my oil change and inspection. My family and I got there at approximately 10:30 am, where we were told it would take about an hour and a half at most. We ran across the street and had lunch, then headed back over to the shop… when we got there our vehicle had still not been expected and were told it would be about 15 more minutes. 45 minutes later they finished up, we paid our bill and called it a day. I can understand delays, but I wasn’t told anything about my vehicle (where most places at least tell you if your needing something soon, etc.). Also, my «Maint Reqd» light was still on (a Toyota thing). I feel like the prices are reasonable, but they could definitely work on communication and customer service. If the customer service was as good as the current customer they have doing their marketing, then they would be set!

This place is always packed and for good reason. Work is done quickly, but you will have a wait purely because the line to get in starts before they open everyday.
Best prices and they get the job done right the first time. If they don’t work on it, can’t fix it, or can’t find a problem they don’t charge you. No «diagnostic fee» BS here.
I do 99% of my own work on my car, but the things I can’t do or don’t have the tools to do I bring it here and have done so for years. The only place I’ll ever take my car. Usually brought here for alignment and inspection.
Fast. Friendly. Fair.

They told me I had a blown engine. Charged me 300 dollars. Two years later and I am still driving the car. They are either liars and cheaters or poor mechanics. The next shop I went to changed the thermostat, FIXED.

Before taking my car to Triple A, the previous mechanic (Pro Care next to Whataburger) said I would need a tune up and it would cost $ 300 for them to repair it. Well, $ 300 for a tune-​up is way too extreme. So after getting advice from a few other people, I was referred to Triple A Mufflers on the next block. I didn’t mention anything about a tune-​up but after waiting for my diagnostic, the mechanic called me back to the shop and said he would not be able to repair my problem there and referred me to another shop (due to trouble inside the engine). Even though this was not the news I wanted to hear, at least I got an honest answer from these guys.
Honesty is what gets and keeps customers!

I have been taking my cars to Triple A in Garland, for approximately 15 years. I have always found their management to be very friendly and professional. The reason that I have continued to do business with them, over this long a period of time, is that the work that their mechanics have performed on my cars has been of an above average quality. Also, and equally important, their prices have been well below the prices that many mechanics charge for the same repairs. Their shop is approximately 8.5 miles from my home, but it is well worth the drive due to the price, quality, and turn around time. I should also point out that, unlike many shops, they do not attempt to sell me unnecessary repairs.
Over the years, I have also recommended them to friends and coworkers, and they too have been very impressed with their prices. As an example, this past week a coworker who owns a Honda S2000 was quoted $ 770.00 to replace the oil pan. The labor quote alone was $ 220.00. However, I recommended that he take his car to Triple A, and they merely replaced the oil drain plug, given that the oil pan was not damaged, and only charged $ 25.00 or so. My basic point is that I have found the management/​ownership of Triple A to be very ethical in their dealing with me, my friends, family, and co workers.

This place deserves 4 stars for the price alone. Great price for the work done.
They were really busy and it took a really long time. I think I waited at least 3 hours. I’m okay with waiting for quality though and so far the thing I had fixed has worked for a month without a problem.
When the owner saw that I had been waiting a while he asked which car was mine and went and found out that it was done and checked me out. I consider this good and bad and call them as even. Good that he was proactive to help me. Bad because, just how long was my car sitting finished while I waited? 5 minutes? 10? An hour? They were working on it out of eyesight so I have no idea.

Awesome place. Bobby is fantastic, sincere and honest. Bless the hearts of these people who will do their best to repair your car. He even lent my wife their pick up so she could pick me up after work and they got a kick out of her driving it! I had a blast riding in the bed. This is the place to go just like the other reviewers said.

I’m just going to say this…
If you’re looking for honest car repair people, if you’re wanting a fair price and no run around, you’ll consider going to Triple A for your next repair.
It’s not a fun occasion to have to have your car towed into a repair shop, you’re thinking of so many things, money and transportation are the top two.
Being family-​owned, honest and reliable, you’re going to feel as good as you’re going to feel in the circumstances where you’re going to pay for a car repair.
I believe they do a lot more than mufflers and brakes…
