Not only is the restaurant and food amazing but the staff & management are awesome too! Two special employees(& I’m sure others behind the scenes at the restaurant) helped me pull off a work event that I needed catered for 200 people in less than 3 days! Thank you Ben & Caitlin we appreciate all you did for us tonight! & thank you Primos for having two wonderful, caring, and patient employees such as them!

Meh. Ate here to enjoy the patio since the weather has been nicer. The patio and bar are awesome. I enjoyed my drinks, and the service was quick. The food, however, left much to be desired. Everything was very bland and I poured hot sauce all over my enchiladas just to make them somewhat enjoyable. I have been here three times and each time was the same. I just keep hoping it will be better the next time. Go for the view and drinks. Maybe queso. Skip on the entrees.

All I have to say, is if you order a plate that comes with meat like chicken Mesquite or bacon wrapped shrimp. Make sure to asked them to serve it in a skillet, your food will get cold. The food wasn’t all that great, I guess the only thing you pay for is the view of the lake. What’s worth getting for me is that burrito or the salad sizzle. The service of the restaurant was great. Madeline our server brought us everything we needed.

To Get the most of your visit ask for a table towards the back to get a beautiful view of the lake. The food is alright nothing special. I don’t recommend getting the carne asada with shrimp, it’s a $ 20 plate that looks like a 11.99 plate. I recommend the burrito and salad sizzle, that has now become THE plate to order whenever I return. I really like how they give us our own personal salsa, I read a review before complaining how their salsa was too spicy, it barely has a kick it’s mostly tomatoes, we had to order chile toreador so our food would be spicy. This is a good restaurant to come eat of you like texmex, I recommend coming during happy hour! Our waitress was really friendly and fast with service, I have no complaints there.

I have eaten at Primo’s several times, so my review is not based upon one visit. Primo’s is a terrible restaurant. The waitresses are slow and inattentive, even when the restaurant is not busy. Do not expect them to get your food out quickly. Today we waited 30 minutes for our food and they were not busy. There is no excuse for it to take 30 minutes for food to arrive. Also, the waitress never refilled my water, even after mentioning to her I needed more water. I finally had to go to the bar and get the refill myself. It took us almost an hour before we were finished eating from the time we arrived. It they had been busy or slammed, I would understand, but this was when they were dead. The food was just meh! Not terrible, but not good enough for me to want to come back, especially when the service was terrible. Not only was the food not that great, they got two of our orders wrong. If you want to look at semi-cute young ladies in short jeans, this is the place for you. If you want decent Tex-Mex and good service, go somewhere else.

The sangria was basically a fruit punch, and the margarita was too sweet and definitely not the best in town. The queso was not the best and comparable to store bought. The flan was good though and very sweet. Nothing to ride home about. Venue is very nice though.

Sat down, ordered drinks! Before I could take a drink or eat a chip, food was brought! Sometimes being fast is not good! Food tasted pre-cooked & put on a hot plate! My plate was hotter than my food! Nothing worse than cold Mexican food! They credited for my food, but it ruined my meal, my evening plans! Primos was one of my favorites, but probably won’t be back

I went with my Fiancé and daughter last night, I was not impressed with the food, but I wasn’t let down. I have the Chicken Tortilla Soup. It was prepared well but a little too spicy for me. My Fiancé had the Chimichanga and had no complaints. The salsa was a bit spicy. When we got there, there was a group of teens hanging out and being loud inside right by the table. I don’t know if this is an everyday occurrence but it was quite annoying. If you are just passing through town, I definitely do not recommend coming here.

Great food and beautiful young ladies everywhere. What is not to like? Service is fast. even when its busy. I love the lake view. I will have to say drinks, for top shelf are pricey so hit it early during happy hour. Did I mention the super short bkue jean shorts worn by some of the hottest gals in Texas? If you go with the wife… wear sunglasses.

It’s right on the lake which is great but the margaritas are weak and the food is bland. I would just stick to visiting the bar.

See photo of pooping patio ducks. They deposited those splats right in front of the server(& me!); the server commented that this was«gross,» that«they just cleaned the patio, too,» but then left me to look over the menu. I thought perhaps she would send someone to clean it, but no. Two other staff proceeded to see & step over the fresh mess; no one cleaned it; no one apologized. I was left to order, eat, and ask for my check while looking at duck crap — because it was right in my line of sight. Meanwhile, the ducks continued to scavenge for chip crumbs beneath my feet. 2 stars, because though right now I hate to admit it, I know I will be back. The food and the view(generally!) are good… but… The above was from a couple of months ago. I came back and, lo/behold.no pooping ducks.

Not one to talk badly, so I’ll just list the facts. It took 30 minutes to get two dishes. One of the dishes came out cold and should not have. Our waitress seemed like she did not want to be there. She hardly spoke, and didn’t smile. The chips and salsa weren’t bad though, and the view of the lake from the outdoor seating area was very pleasant.

We went in last night to celebrate my boyfriend’s son’s 16th birthday. We were a party of 7 and we arrived between 8&8:30. The restaurant was by no means bustling. We asked for patio seating and we could not be accommodated. Not that there weren’t plenty of tables available. I guess it was just easier to seat is in the bar near the patio. Whatever. We had our drink and appetizer orders taken promptly enough, I suppose, but it took FOREVER for our appetizers to arrive and our waitress was too busy to sweeping under nearby tables to check on us or take our order. Service was terribly lacking across the board and food was mediocre at best. Then we were not billed in accordance with the prices on the menu which I didn’t make a terrible issue of but all I can guess is the waitress was trying to jack our total up. Example — kids meals include drink. Price around $ 4.99. Charged drink for each kids meal @ $ 2.49. That’s 50% of the meal price. I don’t like for my kids to drink soft drinks so they normally order water. Had I known we would have been charged full price for styrofoam kid size cups, I never would have allowed them to order the soft drink. It was just annoying knowing that someone is trying to pull one over on you. And she blamed the menus for being outdated. Then honor the menu price. Like I said, I dropped the issue and paid the charges but I have no desire to return to this establishment. We certainly could have received better service across the board.

Meh… Food-ok Atmosphere-usually loud Service-this is tricky because it’s a hit or miss. I’ve had good and bad experiences. Only reason I would come back in here is if I was short on time and both The flying Saucer and TL&C was full. Meh…

I am so disappointed. I ordered avocado mushroom jack cheese enchilada, smothered with a spicy tomatillo sauce that overpowered any avocado or mushroom flavor. They drizzled small amount of sour cream, again, it was only for appearances because you couldn’t taste it. My family liked their chimichangas and burritos. The Margarita was not smooth and tasted like a bad watered down mix. The server told us the tomatillo sauce was not spicy, however, my daughter in law could not eat hers at all, aside from the soupiness that you feel like you are eating. They may have well put it in a bowl and served it as soup. They need a lesson in balancing flavors.

I ordered chicken suiza which has green tomatillo sauce which was good. The carne asada was bland. The meal came out before the appetizer. So we told our waitress we did not want anymore

Nice location on Lake Ray Hubbard in Garland. We ordered an appetizer, two enchilada dishes and one house specialty — Carne Asada. The main dishes came out quickly, the only problem was that we never received our appetizer. I mentioned that to the waitress, who acted surprised that it wasn’t already delivered. After telling her not to bother bringing the appetizer since our entrees were already here, she said don’t worry, I’ll make sure that you aren’t charged for it! The enchilada dishes were average at best, but the Carne Asada may have been the worst example I’ve ever had. It had cheese and a couple of small strips of poblano peppers on it, but was small and bland. My advice would stay away from the house specials and stick to the basics.

Awesome happy hour! The highlight of my visit were the $ 2 margaritas on Tuesdays. You honestly can’t beat that! Service: Our server was very attentive! One of the orders came out wrong but she got it fixed really fast. You can tell that all the servers work together and I love seeing teamwork like this because it makes your experience great each and every time. Food: I had the beef fajitas as my entrees. They came out on a sizzling platter which was nice because they stayed warm longer. The beef didn’t have much flavor though. The fajita’s were good not great, but nonetheless good. Drinks: On Tuesday’s the house margaritas are $ 2 all day. And they are very good. Not too strong because it takes about 3 of them to make me buzzed, but they are delicious nonetheless. Ambiance: The patio seating is popping! It’s always packed and it’s just the perfect place to be after a long day. The patio also has a wonderful view of Lake Ray Hubbard which adds to the ambiance. This is definitely my go-to Tuesday happy hour spot!
