My wife and I have been coming here for years. I sometimes get work done at dealership because it is closer to work and home.
The trunk lock of my Camery needed repair. I took it to DCH Toyota and they quoted $ 497 I would have accepted that but they said I needed body work done to the trunk for the trunk to close properly at an additional $ 399. I smelled a rat so I picked up my car and brought it to IPM.
Picked it up today cost $ 367 no body work needed. From now on I will travel the extra distance for honesty and integrity at IPM

I have been a customer for over two years now and I still go here every time my car need a service. Their pricing is very good and if you have concerns they will check your car without a fee just ask. I highly recommend everyone to check this place out. Unbeatable price and if you have a special request, they will do things your way.

Very honest, considering customer’s budget. Asked for estimate for fixing my broken car, he suggested to junk or sell it because fixing is cost more money to me while he can fix and charge me. I would like to go back to have the other car fixed if there is any problem with it. Thanks to him for the honest advice!

Tom is a super honest mechanic who will go out of his way to get your car fixed. I’ve gone to other mechanics where they try to cheat you out of your dollars, but Tom will find the ACTUAL problem and take care of it for a good price. I’d recommend him for any Asian import car engine or drivetrain work.

On my most recent trip to IPM, I was impressed enough to (finally) create an account on Unilocal to write a review here.
Here’s my story:
My car’s engine stopped mid-​ride, so I had it towed down to IPM as I was suggested by my father, a customer there for 20 years. On arriving, Mr. Toyama, the owner, attended immediately to the car. After a few tests on the engine, he quickly deduced the problem and explained to me (a layman) what was going on. He recommended us a used replacement part he had on hand, which would save money (as buying a new part for a 20-​year old car is simply a waste).
Later in the day, I was running late, and came back almost an hour later than closing time. He was waiting at the shop to ensure that I got my car back that day, as was discussed on phone. Their dedication to customer service is excellent by any standards, and I would recommend anyone to this shop.

I’ll be sure to return to fix the leaking steering fluid hose (which, by the way, was diagnosed and estimated, but not forced on me to accept repairs as it wasn’t a critical fix at the time)
P. S. The steering fluid wasn’t full when I brought the car in… and I didn’t see any note of it on the invoice.

Great auto shop. It is family owned and in a lot full of other car-​related shops but this one is the best there!
I usually don’t trust mechanics since they always try to take advantage of people who don’t know anything about cars. They do great work and are honest, good rates too. An example of how they are–
My friend went there to try and fix his car since it kept driving more towards one side, but before he had gone to his dealership and they quoted him $ 1000+ in repairs for parts that were perfectly fine (steering rack, etc etc). Turns out it was just one of the front tires had much lower tread which was causing this and they pointed it out right away, very honest and how a GREAT auto shop should be.
Being a family owned shop, they rely on the quality of their work to make loyal customers, and it definitely shows. I take all my family cars there to get them serviced from anything like oil changes to repairs.
Definitely recommend, one of the best independent shops in the South Bay

i love I.M.P. The people are such amazing people. The pricing is just right! I broke my passanger mirror off brought in the car right after they order the parts, an hour later parts were in and car was fix! I couldn’t believe how fast everything happened. I get my oil changed and everything. i would so recommend them. You wouldn’t have any regrets

This place is great! They’re so nice and helpful with any problems I have with my cars. The shop is family operated and they’re very nice and honest people. They are quick and they do it right the first time, and explain it so I can understand it. I highly recommend this shop. My dad knows alot about cars, and he had a problem with his truck that he couldn’t figure out for months, so he brought it here and they had it running in less than a week. I used to stress out when something went wrong with my car, and now I don’t even worry because I know it will be taken care of fast and by honest people :)
