Forge Airsoft Arena

The field itself is awesome. The layout is very detailed and complex. I would go back just for the field. Full of surprises.
However, they need to hire some staff who are interested in getting the show on the road. I have been playing for 10 years and honestly these guys were pretty lazy and careless acting. I played two sets of games in the 2.5 hours I was there…
For an indoor field I expect 5 min breaks between games where players just sit out if they are not ready. Each break was 20+ minutes while everyone sat around waiting and the staff chit chatted. The staff did not seem interested in making the games fun or running things well. They seemed annoyed at the idea of having to work or get games going.
Owner/​manager please take note and kick their asses into production. I would go here very often if things were well run.

Wow! Awesome place to play! Extreme cqb. Field is unlike any other that I’ve played at in So. Cal. The room to room engagements keep you on your toes. The refs are great. They keep the games going and the teams are pretty balanced. I had a great time playing here. Everyone was very friendly with no elitist attitudes here. Another bonus is you see several different teams from YouTube here like Ghostribe, thebrainexploder, and LTD plays here too. All great people! Friday’s seem to be the more team based play which is when I see a lot of those people here. But the weekends are more beginner friendly. If you want a challenge, I definitely recommend Friday nights. They do have a small pro shop with some supplies but just the field alone is worth the price of admission.

This review is based on my husband’s experience. He used to go there almost every weekend and loved it. But recently there are basically a bunch of teenagers running the place with no adults around. In the past the breaks were 5 min «water breaks» so it was more fast paced. Now the breaks are 15 min so the teenage employees can socialize and eat pizza with the players they are friends with. He still likes going there but there used to be more back to back games with shorter breaks in between.

We booked my son’s 9^th birthday party at Forge Air-​soft Area. He really wanted a Nerf War party. There is an Airsoft area closer to us in Fullerton who advertises Nerf War parties however the owner stated they only hold them in their Irwindale location. He showed said the equipment couldn’t be transported for the day of the event. Their rudeness and lack of interest in my business left me searching on the Internet for another arena.
Let’s move on to bigger and better things! I found Forge Airsoft Arena on google. When I browsed their website I was excited to see detail description for their Nerf War parties.
The website left no room for doubts or questions. Their page includes an updated calendar of all their booked events. I knew this was the place for us. I filled out the online form and paid via Paypal. It was late in the evening (the only time I have to myself w/​three children) and immediately I received a confirmation response via email.
The confirmation included an attached PDF waiver, an itinerary of the event, nearest Dominos contact info, and the items they provided for the party.

What we ordered. 2 ½ hours for private party. When they say private they mean private! We had the entire building to ourselves. With 15 8 yr olds that’s pretty awesome! I dislike the sharing with six other parties such as Chuck E Chesse etc.
They decorated the party room and the rest was relax and play away

Solid CQB field. Never had an issue with cheats or bad attitudes. High paced, no minimum engagement distance aka big boy rules & there’s not too much down town between games which is great. Staff is solid, attentive & helpful in my experience. This has been our go-​to Sunday field for the last month.

My first time airsoft was here and was awesome. If your knew to airsofting I would say come here and have fun. The refs are nice and the players are really nice. Every once in awhile you get some cheater but that’s what a 350 fps gun is for. Really if you see a cheater just blast him if you get hits it’s a game and call it.

Had our son’s 12^th birthday party here. WHAT A BLAST!!! The staff was awesome! They even had decorated tables ready for us when we came in. Everyone had a great time (even the people who were a little nervous about doing it). The facility is great. Plenty of space to hang around and the briefing room was incredible. Highly recommend it. Thanks for a memorable party and a fun morning!

Great place people treat you as teammates is dirty but doesn’t matter your there to have fun staff are amazing definitely my favorite AIRSOFT place to play

Great CQB airsoft field. I got there and my gun was too powerful to play with so o had to rent one of their. It was cheap ($ 15) but performed really well. Everyone playing was calling their hits and being good sports. All the refs were friendly and the field is really fun.

Me and a buddy of mine heard about this place and went to go check it out and I have to say it’s one of the best in door facilities I’ve been to the staff there r gd people games were well refed and players had respect for the game and called shots with no cheating r crying like some other places I’ve been to so I highly recommend if you are looking for a gd indoor place definitely check this place out

Ok, the pictures posted here were taken when this place was brand new. Now it looks run down, dirty and bullet holes every where and when I first saw this place, I was not happy about my 12yr old daughter playing airsoft.
But it turns out the staff and the big guys are really protective and very helpful !

I read the previous about a 12yr old boy being bullied — really !!! As far as I can tell about our 10 and more evenings there– They are all very friendly and treat the younger kids like real teammate and play fair. Very helpful and sweet !!
The only critic I have as a waiting parent is the dark lounge. I really like the fact you can look at the screen and follow what’s going on in the arena. But… The old airplane seats are really old and dirty, the wifi is super slow (maybe I just need to be happy there’s a free wifi) and the air is sticky and it can get really hot and muddy. Waiting there for hrs is just horrible.
Anyways, as far as airsoft — I feel safe having my daughter play at forge !

DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE — OR ANYONE ELSE CONCERNED WITH FAIR PLAY OR SAFETY!
This place is full of thugs that will do all they can to actually injure you if they don’t like you, and the staff and ownership will do nothing to try to keep the game play fair. My 12 year old son was intimidated, swore at, threatened, yelled at, and actually intentionally hurt by the total horses rear ends that hang out at this place. The people who run this place should be put in jail for the stuff they let happen here. They do not even chrono the guns of the local regular players, you end up at point blank being overshot 10 – 12 times by hot guns and total bullies supported by the staff. I play as well and saw all this up close and personal, was all I could do not to call the police, instead I tried to ask for help from the management.
We went to this place on every day of the week they are open, and tried over and over again to appeal to the staff to try to get some fair treatment, and it just got worse. This is not a one off event.
I finally figured out what was going on, this place might as well be owned by the LTD airsoft team. These guys are the equivalent of the jocks at high school and think they are above any rules or worrying about fair game play. They shout and swear and throw things like little babies having tantrums when they don’t get their way and nobody here does anything about it. Once they decide they don’t like you their players will be shooting you at point blank in the back from both teams and purposely hurting you ignoring all of their hits or even the game at all, instead just out to hurt you. They are real big men, group of 5 of them intimidating a 12 year old kid. Typical coward bully jocks, brave in a group totally outnumbering others.
It took some time to figure out what the issue was and why the refs and staff were so ridiculously one sided in favor of these guys. I finally found a picture of the team online and realized the employees are actually on the team, no wonder. These guys will hurt your kids if you bring them here, and the staff are in on it. Totally ridiculous and dangerous people, absolutely no safety or accountability here. I sent emails to the managers, they basically said it is business as usual. This is just how they do it here. They don’t even pretend to follow their own posted rules. Now at least I know why.
The rules posted on the site are a joke, there are no rules here and if you cross the thug bullies that run this place they will have no problem with purposely and dangerously hurting you and your kids. Completely unfair and dangerous place, STAY AWAY.

Finally an alternative to HSP!!! It’s a CQB battlefield inside a warehouse.
The guys who manned the place were great. The battles were longer and far more intense. They also have a lounge where you can see the all the action taking place via cameras — and while lounging on airline (business class) seats. They’re only open on the weekend as the place is used by the Police and Feds for training purposes on the week days.
And they didn’t have AH refs…
