Guillermo, a DirecTv technician with CSS came to my home yesterday and was incredibly helpful and nice. He fixed my problems and made a few other adjustments that improved my picture quality. He is a good man. CSS is lucky to have him as an employee.

Can we talk about great costumer service? My apartment has the most interesting connection places and far away location spots for DirectTV that made the job more difficult than most, but man oh man did Helcar saved the day! His professionalism, his constant positive and optimist comments towards my mission impossible arrangement of the apartment, made me feel I was getting the best service. He was such an excellent listener to what I wanted in my apartment, and so, he kept looking of good alternatives and options that worked for me.
If you need good quality service to be done, you know the man, its Helcar!

Every time I’ve contacted this company they have been decently nice to talk to, however the quality of the Internet they provide is just sad. We pay for the premium internet service but hardly get to use it due to outages and EXTREMELY low speeds. Our building is locked in a contract and we do not have another Internet provider option. I’m on the verge of packing my things and moving because there is no way you can work from home with this so call Internet. Please set-​up your game Consolidated, or get out!

I use consolidated smart systems for appliance rental. For over a year I’ve rented a refrigerator from Consolidated Smart Systems. The unit is nice and they were excellent about bringing it in the next day.
In the recent months, I’ve been having some financial issues. Consolidated Smart Systems has been great with helping me work out a payment plan. Specifically, Benjamin Gutierrez, has been really great with working with me to get my account caught up. Great product and great customer service.

There is no reason other than the structure of how this company acquires its service rights that its still in business. I thought our building was isolated in its lack of decent service providing, however its obvious its not. We are trying to gather enough resident together to fight the property management to bring another option to the property. Typically a company with a 1 star review with over 130 reviews doesn’t stay in business long. If your smart enough to research before choosing CSS, or deciding to move into a building with Internet being provided by CSS, know you will be frustrated. We have been over charged (saying we will get a refund), giving incredibly unreliable high speed internet. Just know your internet WILL seriously lack its advertised speed and worse off, it will be down several times a week. That’s the only consistency CSS has. F–

Switched to Consolidated Smart Systems for internet after using AT&T UVerse for 9 months — went from paying $ 60 for 15 mbps speed (AT&T UVerse) to $ 50 for 110 mbps. The internet is so much faster I was able to cut out AT&T’s TV service entirely and replace with the Amazon Fire TV stick + Hulu/​Netflix services. TV+Internet bill was previously ~$ 130, now I pay ~$ 50 total.
As for the customer service, it was excellent. As soon as I found out I was eligible for another service that wasn’t AT&T, I called CSS’s support line and got someone to answer all my questions within 10 minutes. I was able to book an installation appointment for the *next day* — less than 24 hours later, I had some awesome internet.

Giullermo went above and beyond yesterday when installing our DirectTV. It was moving day for us so there was a lot of stuff going on, but he continued to do his work and had a positive attitude about it all. Giullermo informed us that we would have to split the line with TimeWarner for internet (we didn’t know we could get internet with DirectTV). He told us that we needed to let that installer know about it, but in the end he went ahead and set it up for us so we didn’t have to get an installer to come out (truly amazing and we are extremely grateful for that). He made sure everything was up and running smoothly before we left.
He made the whole process amazing and we are so glad he was our installer.

Called customer service to complain about the 80 dollar charge. I was told the technician didn’t leave any notes so they don’t know why I was charged. Instead of just reversing this mystery charge I was told that the person I was talking to didn’t have the ability to reverse the charge and that the billing team would have to look into it. This has to be the most ridiculous sequence of events I’ve ever had to deal with for internet. And I still don’t have reliable service! Every sing day for the entirety of the day, the connection goes in and out.

I got my bill this morning and on the bill is an 80 dollar charge for one of the technician visits. The last time one of their techs came to my apartment, they didn’t even have an appointment. They just showed up and i happened to be home. This is really turning into a joke and as the customer who pays for the service I don’t think its funny.
Im going to update this every few weeks to let everyone know how awful this internet is and what a joke this company is. I havent had a reliable internet connection for two months now.

Internet is down EVERY SINGLE DAY now MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY. They have had a tech out twice and supposedly my case has been escalated to «tier 3» but Im starting to think that doesn’t mean anything.
Update again. If you have the choice to not get this internet DO NOT GET IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. this provider is absolutely awful. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but their «fix» has only made the problem worse! My internet goes down multiple times a day! Even for 40 dollars a month I feel like I am being robbed. There aren’t enough nouns for me to describe how much I hate this company and their service. The only reason I gave one star is because I cant leave ⁰⁄₅. But thats the real rating. 0. They don’t deserve a single f***ing star because I haven’t had a single day of uninterrupted internet service.
When it works it’s ok but thats the problem. I moved into my complex and THE ONLY OPTION was att dsl which was absolutely awful. When this company started offering higher speed cable service i jumped on immediately. Install was quick and painless. Speeds are faster than att by a country mile. Only problem is it seems like once a week the internet goes down for long periods of time. I’m paying 40 bucks a month so I can’t complain that much but overall I hate that this company and Att are my only options and they are both garbage. As I am typing this review I am watching my modem flicker because my connection is down AGAIN even after the tech was just here. I was told that the engineering team had found the problem and that the tech had fixed it but apparently not. The tech even said that my unit looks to have new wiring so there is really no excise for the connection to constantly be down. If you live somewhere and have to pic between this and Att, pick this company for sure. But if there is literally ANY OTHER OPTION go with that. If they could just provide a reliable connection I would give them a ⁵⁄₅ because the customer service is pretty good and the connection is great when you have it.

Worst internet provider ever!!! Internet is down at least twice a month for 1 – 3 days for the last three years I’ve been living in the Aqua apartments on Fiji way and Lincoln in the Marina. They will also charge you for high speed internet and give you low speed internet. Do not use these guys unless you have to. Zero stars!

OK already 4 visits in a months time, yup horrible. Apparently they don’t care. If your building is thinking about using them convince them not to. Management does not seem to care. No one follows up after service visits and it does always seem to be one thing or another. I get apologies from customer service on the phone but that’s all. I have requested management to call back but yeah that will ever happen.

Internet service is LOUSY. Pretty much ALMOST what the rest of the negative reviews have said.
Of course, I’m living in a building that ONLY has CSS and AT&Tea Party as options. GREAT! Get what you pay for, I guess…

Companies like this needs to checked out by the state, making sure hey are light. Why the hell am I paying a third party for servicing my internet and cable through direct tv? Why am I charged a fee Every there service goes out!!!

We had used AT&T for our ISP for years. We still had a land line and they gave us a discounted package. One day, the discount ended. Fortunately, our complex had just distributed a flyer about CSS. The cost (just for internet) was a fraction of what AT&T was going to charge, and they claimed that the download speed would be almost twice as fast, so we decided to give them a try.
We set up an appointment for the technician to hook us up. We had to migrate from DSL to cable. We had purchased a router and the technician provided a modem for us to rent. He was in and out in about ten minutes. Unfortunately, we didn’t test the speed until after he left, and it was not as fast as advertised.
I called in a service request, and they said that they would pass it on to the technical department. In the meantime, our internet speed was worse than ever. After a day or so of this, I left a message with the technician demanding a resolution and I threatened to cancel our contract if we didn’t hear back from him by the next day (our AT&T coverage was still active).
Well, we received a voice mail from him the next morning. Better still, our service problem was corrected, and the speed was as fast as advertised. It has been spotty here and there, but so was AT&T when we first started with them. In fact, for months I used to have to reset the modem and router every morning. I’ve only had to do that once or twice so far with CSS. Bottom line: our internet speed is pretty fast now, and we’re saving a lot on our monthly bill.
If you live in a apartment like us, your options are probably limited, but we are glad that we switched to CSS. If you live in a house, I suggest that you check out your local coverage on a website such as

Some more advice:
— Don’t let the installer leave until you test the download speed on
— Buy your own modem (the installer actually suggested this). We eventually did, and it’s a much cheaper option then renting.
— If you ever need to return any equipment to CSS (such as that rental modem), their Gardena headquarters is an impenetrable fortress (probably for protection from angry mobs with torches and pitchforks). I managed to slip in when a car activated the gate. The first business in the building is a set production company. Look for the CSS refrigerators toward the back of the building. The employees were surprised to see an infiltrator, but I smiled as I explained that I was just returning a modem, and, while sighing in relief, they took it and made sure that I was credited appropriately. This was at around 5 pm on a weekday. Like I said, just buy your own modem.

These Guys should be out of business, to start off with their bull shit services, my services has yet to be hooked up, The tech calls and gives me a 30 min window, on which i am there on time, just to come home to another note to reschedule, and this is my 4^th time!

They are garbage! After you leave a message with whoever answers their phones, they NEVER call you back. After my service was out for 7 days, the technician was a complete NO SHOW on the day they were scheduled to fix my service. This is only one incident I’m speaking of, but not the only issue I had with them. I’m so glad to be moving and won’t have to deal with them anymore… then I can enjoy my DIRECTV for sure.

Hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. Horrible customer service and lies upon lies. I worked for directv and loved our service but thanks to this company I will not have dtv until I move again. They have ruined the entire experience for us and even after we didn’t have the service anymore tried to keep charging us extra fees. I’m not sure why directv would make this decision because they will lose a lot of people through this awful company.

Seriously, we have at our complex here for a year, and the only ISP that is allowed at Mariposa is through a company called Consolidated Smart Systems.

We have sent requests to our complex to do something about this, give us some options, contact the ISP on a corporate level, ANYTHING, and we get the same response: «Here is the contact info for the REGIONAL manager for CSS, they will help you.» No, actually, they won’t.
We have to deal with multiple weekly outages, data speeds that are verifiably and demonstrably lower than what we are being billed for, and customer service that puts you on hold for 30 – 40 minutes (IF they answer the phone after hours). Service is out? Canned Answer: «There is an outage in your area, technicians are working on it» or «Yeaaaa…I guess we will need to have someone come out, are you available to be at your residence Mon thru Friday between the hours of 6am-​10pm?»
The cost of this atrocious service is even worse. We started out by paying for their «Turbo» tier, which was supposed to clock in at over 30 Mbps. After speed-​checking our service over the course of a few weeks, I see that we were never getting download speeds over 18 – 20. They were charging us $ 65 a month for that! So I called CSS and complained for the 14^th time, and changed our service to a slower tier, figuring at least we would not be paying through the nose for service this bad. So, we switched to the 20Mbps speed (for $ 45 a month). We are now getting routine speeds of 4−8Mbps. It’s gotten to the point where we are now considering cutting them off completely and using the hotspots on our phones. Here is the latest speedtest, if you need proof. 4.7 Mbps.
Consolidated Smart Systems has routinely, almost as a matter of practice, screwed their customers over, and the apartments that they have monopolies in, are willing accomplices to it, since no tenant is allowed to pursue different ISPs.
Every negative review on this site is well-​deserved. I will also be doing everything in my power to avoid, AVOID AVOID, any complex that uses this company for their ISP.
I am posting this to warn as many people as I can that apartment complexes that do business with this company are actively engaging in a telecommunications monopoly and aredenying their tenants basic market freedoms. This type of thing should absolutely be illegal.

Boy did Directv make a horrific decesion to use Consolidated Smart Systems. First the only Service my area on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I have to take time off of work to get any service. Secondly every time you call you’re on hold for at least 20 minutes. I am so disappointed that my apartment complex chose Consolidated Smart broadband as their broadband provider this is ridiculous!
Further more, i cancelled internet service on Friday, I authorized over the phone for Consolidated to charge my CC 33.00 and they hit my card again w/​o authorization for another 67.00 dollars!

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. This is the most ATROCIOUS excuse of an internet provider that I have ever seen.
First of all, my account wasn’t even able to set up an online account (pretty ironic for an INTERNET PROVIDER).
Our internet literally kicks us off 4x or so a day. We had a technician come out to look at it and NOTHING was done. They then charged us $ 80 for that appointment.
The phone wait times are a JOKE.
The customer service is horrible.
I am going to do everything I can to make sure the next apartment I move to is in NO WAY affiliated with CSS.
