Not the same vons setup ‘m used to but The overall selection appeared to be consistent with my regular Vons. I came in specifically needing to speak to Customer service and I was told «they don’t really have one». Interesting. None the less the cashier was able to help me. The arrangement is set up a little differently. I go to school in the neighborhood so it’s nice to have a Vons nearby. Similar prices, similar selection, clean aisles… the liquor just isn’t in the same spot :)

This store has an incompetent supervisor (or maybe just an employee) that gave bad customer service. Yes, I’m talking about a bald, heavy set man with glasses who didn’t have a name tag on, but acted like a supervisor.
I stopped by for 2 packs of Nestle bottled water. My receipt showed almost $ 9 when it was supposed to be $ 6 something ($ 2.99/ea 28 ct pack). I had asked a cashier before I left the store to explain it to me. Mind you I didn’t mind $ 9 for 2 packs of bottled water, but if things don’t make sense to me, I usually ask.
This bald headed man was standing by the register & told the cashier he would help me instead. I showed him my receipt, he didn’t even look at it. What he told me was «You pay 5 cents per bottle for recycling, plus taxes.» I asked what the taxes here were, he said «9.5%» then he walked away. WHAT?
I never had to pay 5 cents per bottled water where I lived before, but that’s fine if it’s the law here. However, saying sale tax is 9.5% here being an employee of a grocery store is being beyond incompetent. It’s only 8%, and no, there’s no sale tax for bottled water.

I go to this store only when I need a last minute item… They have great fresh fruits and vegetables… But they are very pricey! And those lines to pay I don’t know what’s the point of having so many registers if they only open one or two! But staff is really friendly. Oh yeah and my rewards card never has points when I try to pump gas and my receipts says otherwise!

This is the closest market from my house. Unfortunately I end up here more than Id like. This is what I have encountered. Rude employees, cash only because the card machine was out, rotten veggies, moldy cheese, ordered a birthday cake which never got made, lines a mile long, no one at the checkout counter in the morning. Have complained to corporate, on line etc. no response and no one cares. They are lucky the have the Disney business otherwise the locals would close the the place for lack of business.

Sandy the mgr is so sweet. Always greets everyone with her pretty smile. Also two other gentleman are very nice. One is always in a grey or white shirt feathered hair. The other is an older fella who looks like he belongs in a good old fashioned country raised family. All very very nice. The young Rihanna looking lady seems very unhappy — not real pleasant. The fella with the red face lacks people skills but is good at his job. If he were to add a «hello» or I don’t know a smile. ;-)
Lines in this place have gotten so soooo much better. Looks like management is doing a better job at staffing. I’ve left the store many many times due to lines and lack of support for the employees. Keep up the good work.

This is a tiny store, located just outside of Disneyland resort bubble. This Vons knows that a lot of tourists stop here, and have a lot of family oriented items such as picnic items, ice coolers, drinks, and things you can take to the beach or to your hotel.
Stephen and I came here to buy gas cards as we were heading out of town. Vons near his house were completely out of Chevron cards. Fortunately for us this place had plenty of the $ 50 denomination and the $ 25 denomination.
Since this location is so close to Disneyland, lots of tourists came to buy the Disneyland passes, probably so they could double dip on gas points, and to avoid the ticket line.
Plenty of parking in front, but weirdly configured, so you have to be careful of traffic and pedestrians.

Vons is usually an okay place but these guys are conniving. There sign says «buy 2 12 pack coke products and get 2 Free» but they add dr. Pepper on the rack (which isn’t a coke product). I ended but falling for it and costed me $ 12. When it was suppose to be $ 6. If you’re buying it with a ton of groceries you won’t notice the charge so just be careful

Worst service every time I go there is literally no conversation what so ever! All I hear is my total and nothing after or before that. Never more than 2lanes open and always the longest lines no matter what time of day! This place needs new management or something!

Horrible horrible horrible.
I only come here since im right around the corner, and 90% of the time theres 1 or 2 lanes open that get to bad they start up the food isles. That’s ridiculous.
This vons needs to figure their stuff out.

Sad store!

Please double check the expiration date on your stuff. I’ve come across items that have been expired on every trip that I’ve made here. Recently, the jar of horseradish that I bought was 2 MONTHS overdue and on today’s trip, Horizon Brand had a whole shelf of expired butter (1÷17÷15).

This is literally the worse Vons of all time. I live right around the corner and have been here at least five times. EVERY SINGLE TIME I come, day or night, they have one cashier and a line of ten people or more. I’ve worked grocery before, this reflects so poorly on management and ownership. Yes, there’s days where you get rushes, but to come in five different times to find only a single cashier caught in a rush? That’s a pattern of either management being clueless or ownership being cheap. Speaking of cheap, that’s the only cheap you’ll find, as prices are sky high at this location. For the terrible location and small size, you’d think this location would have at least competitive prices, but no.
To sum it up, if you like cheap prices, a clean store, short waits, and a lot of selections, look elsewhere because you won’t find ANY of it here.

The «Worst» grocery store! It’s only 8:00 pm and they close at midnight with 2 cashiers for the whole store. The line for check out was to the end of the store. Around 20 people in each line.
When I checked out, he forgot to scan the Von’s card the supervisor comment was oh you can bring your receipt back later. Now, why would I do that when I can just do it right now. What the hell? If you make a mistake fix it. I am not planning to return here with this kind of service!

Here right now. Just posted a picture of the «supervisor» Noelle sitting on her phone lounging in the check out aisles chatting up her friend Katie and distracting her while there are only 2 aisles open and the lines are extending down the freezer section. Chatting about another employee sitting in her car at work. This is extremely unprofessional. As a customer I should never know the store gossip or see your cell phone. I fully intended to call the general manager tomorrow to complain. Instead of trying to get the waiting customers out as soon as possible, Katie slowed down and gossiped with Noelle This is the worst Von’s and it is always terrible.

By far the worst checkout in the history of checkout! Customers in line always out weight the worker about 10:1.

To echo the statement of many of the other reviewers… this is THE *WORST* Vons I have ever been to!
I’m not a picky person by any means. I’ll shop in «ghetto» establishments if any one of the following criteria are met: a) the prices are right… b) the quality of the products is top-notch…c) the experience is quick, easy, and convenient. This Vons location offers NONE OF THESE THINGS!
The parking lot is small, typically crowded, and littered with trash. The inside of the store ain’t half bad (as most Vons have typically been renovated in recent years). However, the selection is WHACK. There are definitely things that I can’t find here that I should be able to find at any «normal» grocery store. Most of the prices are pretty high, even with the «club card» savings, and to add insult to injury, the freshness of their products is questionable. One night I decided to treat myself to a steak, and when I took it out of the package to cook it that very same evening, it REEKED! I had no way of knowing when I bought it because visually it had not yet turned colors and was also not yet past its «sell by» date. However, the damn thing was so slimy it slipped out of my hands like a bar of soap in a prison shower! It wasn’t even worth it to me to return to the store to complain about them selling me rotten meat, so I just threw the damn thing in the trash and shed a tear for the steak dinner that was not to be.
I think the real icing on the cake, though, is how absolutely CONGESTED this store gets. I have never been in a supermarket with aisles this small. They are super tight, and there are traffic jams around EVERY corner. Sometimes you have to try 4 or 5 different aisles before you can find one that you can elbow your way through. Then, once you’re ready to check out… OH BOY! Get ready to wait 15 – 20 minutes, whilst beads of SWEAT snake down your back and in into the crack of your @$$ because half the time they don’t bother turning on the A/​C.
Seriously. There are ONLY ever 2 lanes open, and because of the poor layout, the line of customers stretch far into the aisles, making it EXTREMELY difficult for those who are still shopping to access the shelves/​products. It’s also awkward for those who are waiting IN LINE because you have to try to figure out where the line ends, and where you need to position yourself so as not to block or impede foot traffic, but also so that no one will jack your spot in line.
I’m serious. I’ve been here about 10 times since I moved to Garden Grove, and each and every time I kick myself in the ass on my way back to my car, cursing my decision to come here and vowing never to return. It’s really unfortunate because this place is literally 2 blocks from my crib, but I’d rather drive the 2+ miles in either direction to get to the Fresh & Easy (past the 57 on Chapman Ave) or the Ralphs (on the corner of Chapman and Euclid). I usually hate going out of my way for things, but I refuse to step foot in this hellhole one more time…
The shopping experience at this Vons is LITERALLY the stuff nightmares are made of. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Your sanity depends on it.

I love Von’s, but this location is the worst. I can’t even count one positive experience here, but here are my top 3 experiences:
1) Grab turkey lunch meat from the «daily fresh» deli cuts & it is a week old. Honest mistake, so I look through the other 20 packages… ALL a week expired. I didn’t get upset at the deli lady because who knows whose fault it was. She did cut me some fresh turkey which was nice.
2) My husband goes to buy groceries and he sees vomit on the floor covered by a cone & nothing else. Thirty minutes later he passes by the same spot and no change. Now that is disgusting: shopping for groceries with a stewing pile of vomit in the middle of an aisle.
3) This is the straw that broke the camels back: we bought steaks on Saturday to cook Sunday. Sunday they were brown & rotten. We took them back & the manger told us they’re just fine. He returned them no problem, but the point is this location is just disgusting.
They guarantee expired meats & freezer burnt foods on the daily.

2 lanes open, at least a dozen people in each line. At 9 on a Tuesday.
This place isn’t great. It’s smaller that other Vons that I’ve been to, and there is a much, much smaller selection. The produce isn’t as fresh. And, as mentioned before, the line was ridiculous.

I shop here once in a while since it’s near my place — Security looks like he hates his life… the guy always looks depress. and never says a word…
One of the cashier I encounter was a total douche I don’t know what his problem was maybe he was having a bad day… but he was border line racist to my brother and I — think he was a manager or something as I notice one of the workers asked him if they could take their break… The guy Greets everyone in front of us and was super nice to them. When it was our turn his mood suddenly changed. He didn’t say a word to us… I saw him mad dogging my brother and giving us this weird look. I finally smiled and greeted him — he gave me a I don’t have a clue what u want look and smugly replied… … Did my brother and I do something? WTF!!!

Old man who pushes carts with funky glasses and grayish hair is always in a pissy mood.
Makes customers feel uncomfortable by Loudly talking to himself and asking why people choose to shop at night. He is disgruntled and often curses and drops F bombs under his breath as he sees customers approach any later than 9 at night.
Old man, if you are so dissatisfied with your job and the fact that people don’t always have the luxury of grocery shopping in the daytime, why not quit? Or ask for a day shift?
Just saying.
*update: went today after a long day only to wait in line behind I kid you not over 20 angry (justifiably so) customers and only ONE cashier working. RUDE CASHIER WOMAN ELAINE AND BAG BOY DARREN then decided after a good 30 mins to open a second lane. They then had the audacity to talk shit in front of us saying «we need a break too, these people don’t get it» No bitch, what you don’t get is that you need to keep your big mouth shut and work faster, or at least be apologetic, not entitled. If I was not feeling ill, best believe I would have made it clear to her directly.
