We just had our floors redone on our house and there amazing. Michael came over to measure and size everything and it came out just like he said it would. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyo. r looking for a great job and support local business.

We had new carpet installed last week. It was a pleasure to work with Greg at Colonial Carpet. He was able to give us great information about which carpet is best for allergies. The whole process was very easy and the carpet was reasonably priced. We could not be more impressed with Colonial Carpet and would highly recommend them.

Extremely happy with our new carpet. Went in to look at samples. Michael was great at explaining the differences and showed us the back area where prices were lower than the front showroom. This was our first time buying carpet so hearing the differences really helped. We have 2 dogs and a baby on the way so we found a great longer lasting carpet. Michael came out to measure the 3 bedrooms and gave the final amount which was below what we expected to pay for new carpet. At no time did we feel pressured to purchase or go to higher prices carpet. We were able to get the free padding upgrade with mentioning Unilocal.
Installation date was set for a Saturday so we wouldn’t need time off from work. Only downside was we were told we would get a call the night before installation with a time estimate. Didn’t receive one. Wasn’t too bad since we were told by Michael at the measuring day that they typically start after 8:30am. So we called at 8 am (when they opened) and was told between 8:30−9am. The installer showed up right at 8:30 and began tearing out the carpet (furniture was already moved out by us during the week prior). Everything was complete and clean 4 hours later. Did a great job. Really happy with the whole process and definitely recommend Colonial.

Michael has great customer service! Michael helped me pick out carpet that was low maintenance but good for allergies and asthma. Colonial carpet works fast. We had picked out our carpet one week and even though they had to order it from Georgia our carpet was installed the very next week! The guys were fast and did an awesome job. The carpet looks amazing.
I had initially checked Home Depot, but they needed three weeks between ordering the carpet and installation. They also quoted me $ 1,000 more than what I paid with Colonial Carpet.
I highly recommend! You will not be disappointed.

So quick and painless. All I needed to have done was a set of stairs. I went in sat picked what I wanted Sunday and installed tues. I also happened to pick something that was in stock. Good remnants selection, mainly beige. I ended up with grey carpet and I love it! Great install (tough communication with the install guys, no English). Michael, the sales rep was awesome. No pressure, super helpful. Highly recommend.

About a year ago, we had a rental unit re-​carpeted by Colonial which we selected based on Unilocal reviews. They were real easy to work with, so when it came time to re-​carpet our home, we went back to Colonial. The whole process from selection through installation couldn’t have been more simple. In general, I find re-​carpeting harder than moving, so simple is almost as important as quality of work and product. We got it all from Colonial.

WOW!!! bought carpet from them last year – had a good experience — -I had a problem with it this year, they took care of it right away!!! (in a kind and timely manner) I will purchase my future flooring from them and highly recommend them to everyone!!!

Last week Colonial installed Shaw Devon carpet in the remaining parts of our home. The men they sent out were so professional, kind, hard working and did everything we asked them to do. They worked so hard I went out and got us all Chinese food for lunch.
After moving all the furniture out of the way, removing the old carpet and padding then cleaned the floors and they started to lay down the new padding. Once they were done with that all the carpet was layed down and very few seams were needed but they took great care to do them slowing and correctly.
Once all was done they cleaned all the carpets and then helped us move all the furniture back into the rooms.
They left at 7:30pm and we had 3 men working on our home.
We had done days worth of packing of items inside the furniture and it was great we had done that.
I called Colonial earlier on the day to let them know what a great job there team members were doing.
When the men left we were so tired all we did was make the bed, take a bath and sleep.
One of the best things was waking up the next morning to the smell of new carpet and the feel of it on our bare feet. The job they did on the staircase in so beautiful I wish you could see it.
We love Colonial and we have numerous business cards to hand out to our neighbors and friends who have come over to see the job.
We went ultra high end carpet and we are happy we did.
Give them an opportunity they have decades of experience and they know what you need and will help you with all aspects of the project.

We had our entire house carpeted this week. We had done our homework and visited many showrooms. After we visited Colonial Carpet we knew we had found what we wanted and the perfect people to work with. I have never dealt with such a professional group. Michael was wonderful from start to finish guiding us in finding the perfect color and style. He ordered us several larger samples which really facilitated our decision. The installers arrived on time and were so helpful and thorough. They take such pride in their work and could not be any more pleasant to be around. When they left… things were vacuumed, moved back and all the old pad and carpet gone. If I knew the experience would have been this excellent, I would have done it much sooner. Truly the best carpet professionals around.

Colonial Carpet replaced our well-​needed carpet in our 3200 sq ft house. Not only was Colonial Carpet’s price and service excellent, the installation was very impressive. We are so pleased not to have visible seams where are old carpet had been seamed. The carpet and house look amazing! The installers took care and were meticulous, and it shows! They broke down and moved our furniture, installed the upstairs carpet and replaced the furniture back — a two day job — in one day. No wonder Colonial Carpet continues to be voted the #1 carpet business in OC! Keep up the good work!

moved into a new home. they replaced the carpet in a timely manner so that i could move in. the sales guys were low pressure and helpful. the guys that came out to install took longer than expected however did an AWESOME job. i’d rather someone take their time installing than rush out. will def recommend to friends and use them next time i need some flooring.

I was really happy with Colonial Carpet. When we first arrived, Michael helped us and was very attentive and helpful. We knew right away that we were going to get our carpet from them. We picked out a remnant carpet (they have tons) and was really happy with it. They were really great about setting up a time and then calling ahead of time to let you know they were on their way. Great customer service!
The two guys that came to take out our old carpet (we did it separately cause we were painting), were awesome. I think their names were Thomas and George. Very friendly and good work ethic. The guys that came back to install were not as friendly, but did a fantastic job installing the new carpet.
Overall, very happy with the service and price.

After visiting Home Depot, Lowes, LA Carpet, etc… we stumbled upon Colonial Carpet after seeing an ad in the OC Register. The ad mentioned that they were a recipient of the Register’s «OC’s Best Carpet/​Flooring» consumer-​voted recommendation. Since most of these recommendations simply go the first place people can think of when making a selection (i.e., Best Pizza — Pizza Hut… eh, right.), actually gaining this recommendation might actually prove worthy of at least taking a look.
After visiting Colonial we were reminded of just how retail business must have been conducted years ago. No pressure sales, excellent customer service, knowledgeable sales staff, etc… and a willingness to spend time showing us sample after carpet sample as we looked for that «perfect» carpet for our residence. Prices were comparable to what we had seen elsewhere and included padding, furniture moving, old carpet haul away, etc… no hidden fees or gimmicks.
At their suggestion we scheduled a measurement (where our potential selections were brought to our house for final selection) as we were confident that we could finalize a purchase agreement during the visit. We negotiated a reasonable price and installation was scheduled and the carpet ordered. (To their credit a minor oversight with regards to the measurement was noted in our favor and the balance due was adjusted accordingly.)
Installation went as scheduled and on-​time, two Colonial installers completed the entire job in one day. They moved all major furniture from each room (you must move EVERYTHING else from the closets, floors, etc… this in itself was a massive job for us!), and hauled away the old carpet and flooring debris.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Colonial Carpet for their professional and businesslike approach to our entire transaction — give them a look!

Awesome service greeted as we walked in no pushy salesman just good olé honest local business dealings we got a nice purgo carpet I thought at a reasonable rate I did business with them years ago back when they were accross the street things haven’t changed still honest business and reasonable prices with a wide variety of selections.

Love my tile they helped me pick out. It looked nicer than I hoped! The installer did a great job in keeping things neat. I didn’t have to go back and clean up after him. They also installed carpet at my church. Great customer service with some «minor» details.

I had shopped a number of carpeting companies. Colonial’s sales rep was the most diligent and persistent in proactively working with me to find the right carpet, quote the best price and assure me of a quick installation. That’s all the good news. The bad news… on the day of install, the installers immediately realized not enough carpet had been ordered. They finished what they could minus the walk in closet. Of course, everything in my walk in closet is now spread throughout my home, and I had put aside this time from my job for the install. The sales rep response – «well, it’s only a closet». And from here, it just went downhill. The carpet for the closet was ordered and despite my repeated calls, I couldn’t get an answer on when it was coming in. Not one time did Colonial initiate a call to me to say, hey, we are so sorry, here’s where this stands, this is the timing, what can we do to make this better?” Not once. Every follow-​up call was made by myself. So they were Johnny on the spot to sell me and the follow-​up-​not so much. It’s been over a week and we are going into Thanksgiving week. I had to call this morning to find out the status. Rep says he’ll call me back. Never did. I call AGAIN, he promises to call me back. Never did. I call AGAIN and say, I’ll stay on hold while you check this out. The good news, the carpet is here (guess I would never have known had I not called) and they will finish the install tomorrow. I will be very pleased to no longer be doing business with them.
Another thing you never say to a customer. «Well, sorry we didn’t call you back we’ve been busy with customers». HUH? What am I? I even spoke to the owner, who I finally said to him, «aren’t you disappointed with the level of service I’ve received?».
So here’s the deal… they will work with you on price. Are their prices super discounted, no, but they are negotiable and they aren’t overpriced. Will they work with you to get you into the carpet you want, yes. Installers good, yes. Should you expect great service after you sign on the dotted line. NO. You’ll have to be on it and on top of them. Being in the service industry myself, I really would like to consult with them on best customer service practices, but it will cost them. A sale has a beginning a middle and an end, they need to figure that out and that money is made in repeat business. When I go to put hardwood down in the rest of my home will it be with Colonial? Nope.

Talk about easy! We needed our home recarpeted, and heard about Colonial from friends. The estimate process was simple, yet thorough, we talked budget, and Greg found us the perfect match. What I was most impressed with was the next day installation that only took 5 hours!
The crew was extra careful about our newly painted baseboards, and did a great job moving furniture in and out of each room. As for pricing, they aren’t the cheapest – but honestly, you get what you pay for, so choose carpet that is the middle-​grade if you are on a budget.

I went in looking for a good deal on carpet. I took a look at their remnants. They have a big selection and I was able to find something that worked for me. Because I was able to get high quality carpet at such a good deal it made my week. The sales person was so helpful and patient. The installers did a great job!

Had my floors upgraded with hardwood. Compared three companies and went with Colonial Carpets (the price differential was amazing); believe it or not, I was referred to them buy a Home Depot associate that just carpeted their parent’s home.
Colonial’s prices were FAIR AND REASONABLE.
I received the best customer service from George.
I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for flooring.
