I used to come here a lot when working in the area. It has changed. The usual waitstaff has changed. The prices are and consistently have been good. I have now moved out of State but recommended that a friend and I go to our old fave place. I had a meal which included fries. The fries were different and very tasty. I usually like to compliment the waitstaff and owner if I get the chance. I complimented the guy behind the register, presumably the owner. I said«your fries are great. What’s in there that’s so tasty?» He never looked up to smile, thank me or even acknowledge me. I asked again thinking he did not hear me. And this nasty guy finally looked up and said«don’t ask me again». I won’t because that encounter has turned me off to this once nice place and that will stay in my mind. Food is one of the things people turn to for comfort and socializing with friends. People have a right to know what’s in their food due to allergies and diet. It could have been garlic powder or MSG. I’ll never know.

Great spot to get lunch with daily specials that comes with a cup of soup — love the lentil soup with croutons!

This is very convenient for me and my family to go to for a good breakfast and support community business but today I decided that we will not be doing that any longer because as we sat at the rear booth having breakfast I notice several mouse droppings on the ledge by the table. If local businesses want our business the least they can do is keep up with the basics.

I’m just going to assume that those giving 4 and 5 star reviews have never been to another diner… like ever. The restaurant is dirty and the food is subpar. The servers are friendly enough I guess. I go here because I’m lazy and there are no other options for a sit down breakfast in Garden City.

I think is a family run business, the building is old, the food was good, the only reason why i only give them a 2 stars rate is because in the middle of eating i saw a roach, then the spanish guy dig his nose and dint wash his hands. Then out of no where the waitress was scratching one of the bosses back by where the soups are located. I feel like they need a quick lesson on cleanliness.

Came here as we read the great reviews and were in the neighborhood. Excellent breakfast. Ham and eggs and Farmers Omelette. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Excellent bang for your book. $ 21 for breakfast for 2 in Garden City! Not bad!

Good food at a good price. Took my boy(4 year old) there for breakfast. He had a waffle with blueberries and strawberries and enjoyed every bite. I usually end up leaving hash browns on the plate but theirs were really good. Most importantly is the coffee didn’t suck! Also, another Unilocaler comment on how good the juice was. We both had apple juice and thought it was great as well. Not watered down a bit. I’m a fan and we’ll be back again! Plenty of parking in the lot out back is a big plus too.

A warm and cozy place to have breakfast and lunch. Inexpensive and service is excellent. Got the Santa Fe Wrap for breakfast. It came with home-fries and toast for $ 7.95. I was so full by the first half I couldn’t even finish the rest(and I almost always finish my plate). My boyfriend got the Farmers Omelet which was also very good. We will definitely be coming back here!

Still a great place for lunch and breakfast. Mike, Frank and the whole staff make everyone feel at home. Daily specials feature Greek favorites and diner stand-bys. Quick deliveries are made to nearby businesses and homes.

Visiting LI for the x-facor, saw the review here on Unilocal from Peter. Went to this little coffee shop for a late breakfast. First impression, my gf and I felt like we were in a classic NY30’s movie. And the rest was all uphill from there. Great coffee. We both had omlettes, they are huge! One of the Best omlettes I’ve had, and the apple juices was legit, not watered down. Good little place for locals or visitors, and great downtown feel to walk around after. If I’m ever in LI again ill remember this place:)
