Bella Rosa, previously owned by the owner of D’Angelo’s, was purchased by one of the long-time Mexican chefs. But don’t let that fool you, as the quality and standards have remained the same if not better. I’ve only heard good things about this place, and I definitely would like to come back to try their pizza and pastas, however on my first visit, we took advantage of a coupon for 3 heroes for $ 15.95 + tax that we had seen in the newspaper. The décor is very 80’s — 90’s look, simple and inelegant, leaving nothing to be desired, but sometimes you have to overlook that and go solely on the quality of their food. I like to consider these places as quasi-hole-in-wall joints. I tried two heroes: — Chicken Cutlet($ 6.95) — perfectly breaded, making for a solid hero. The chicken was tender and somewhat moist. The hero bread was fresh with a nice crunch. The chicken was complimented with a fresh tomato sauce that took away any hint of dryness that the chicken had. — Sausage Hero($ 6.95) — I was expecting some spice in this sausage, but it was actually of the sweet sausage variation that had some good flavor. The meat to fat ratio in the sausage was perfect, making for a very tasty sausage. It was complimented with a tart tomato sauce that contrasted perfectly against the sweet sausage. Although both heroes were your typical pizzeria parlor style heroes, they were very good. Being as impressed as I was, I would definitely like to come back to Bella Rose to try their pizza and pastas.

New pizza place replaces the old pizza place with new, higher prices. This place recently reopened as «Bella Rosa» — there was a Pizza place there for a long time and Bella Rosa took over operations and renamed the place. The pizza has dramatically improved over what was there before. The prices on the other hand have dramatically gone up as well. I’ve been in there are few times and to me, pizza was always a quick, cheap lunch. Now two slices cost some coin but if you figure in the amount of time you are in and out, it is not so bad. The crowds are nowhere near as insane as Mama Teresa’s at lunchtime so this is definitely a viable option. Big parking lot outside.
