VIBE Salon at Robert Andrew

I’ve been dying to get a balayage and I did a lot of research of affordable salons that had good quality work. I came across Robert Andrews and saw that they had a younger and trendy salon next door which is actually apart of their spa. I went in on ⁹⁄₁₉ and Harley was my hair stylist. She did her thang and I’m pleased with my results although I do wish to have some more dimension added in and possibly taken higher up a little. She did inform me that because I come in with natural, uncolored hair and that because it was so dark, that my hair might not lift very much and I will need a second session to achieve my desired look. My color did come out a bit copper-​ish, which is to be expected when you try to go really light on very dark hair and again, this was just my first coloring season. Overall, I’m pleased so far. Unfortunately I was only in MD visiting family so I’ll either have to continue the process back home or when I come back. Either way, I definitely recommend this place. Prices are average according to what you get done and they go over that during your consultation so you know beforehand what you’ll be paying. I went in at 9am and was out by 12pm on a Saturday.

I went here for my first hair dying experience and it was wonderful! My hairstylist was a little talkative for my taste but friendly and sweet.
Having a great experience the first time, I scheduled both hair appointments for the two proms I was going to (mine and my boyfriends). My prom happened to be on my birthday and again I had a great experience.
My boyfriends prom was the very next week and I came back to get my hair done again. I sat in the chair and the same stylist started prepping my hair and she stopped all of a sudden. She asked me if my head was itchy. I have EXTREMELY dry skin and hair (which I had mentioned before) and have dandruff. She said that I had lice and asked for a second opinion of the stylist next to her. The stylist barely glanced over her shoulder and said, «yeah that’s lice». I burst into tears because she said that she couldn’t do my hair. She went and got the manager who said the same thing. He didn’t even check my hair. My stylist suggested I go to prom with my hair as it was, frizzy and messy. I was so upset and had to go to another sub par hair place and she said that although I have dry skin, I didnt have lice. My mom and I both sent emails to Robert Andrews and STILL haven’t received any kind of apology.

I had a color and trim, I went from brown hair with grown-​out blonde highlights to a simmering dark red. I really like how my hair *pops*, the color turned out great.
