Good points: my 8 year old liked it and the music was good. They give you lots of fries and the Swaney sauce is good. I’ve been wanting to come since I heard about it sorting a visit to Chocolate Strawberry. This was my first opportunity. I’m glad they were distributing surveys, because I was underwhelmed on all fronts. I really don’t like writing negative reviews. My server was unattentive. The burger was not particularly juicy or flavorful. And I agree with those who don’t like the bun; it is too much bread, especially for a child. The fries were average, and not seasoned. I’m sad. I had at least some expectations but I feel like it was money wasted. Back to Gabby’s and the other great burgers in Nashville.

This hole in the wall joint located in Gallatin Square isn’t bad at all. We ordered a protein style burger and a chicken salad. Both came ok pretty good! Friendly service, too.

I ate at Swaney’s on a Thursday afternoon for an early dinner with friends. I had the Swaney burger and fried pickles. The fried pickles were pretty good as the Swaney burger, but I was more impressed with the service. I didn’t get the young girl’s name, but I tipped her well for her efficiency and timeliness. A friend had their bbq burger and it looked and smelled amazing. I’ll be ordering it next time. Swing by and try Swaney Swifts on The Square. It might be your next favorite place to eat and be merry.

Awesome atmosphere! Not only is the atmosphere awesome, but the burgers are as well. I would come back everyday, just to try a different burger.

This has all the promise of a great diner/soda shop. Shakes are good. Burgers could be better, they’re a little greasy. Make a fabulous burger and people will eat it! Fried pickles look great but are very salty. Very friendly staff and I love location.

I don’t understand why there aren’t more reviews of this jewel on the Gallatin square. Your tastebuds will thank you for getting there. Gourmet style burgers, old-fashion soda jerk ice-cream treats and much more. I can’t review a variety of things on the menu because I can’t get away from the burgers and sandwiches. I did go for ice cream(The King) only one day. It’s a hefty serving and I managed to eat it all. I requested that the empty bowl be whisked away so the dainty ladies at the next table who shared one wouldn’t see the damage I had done on my own :/ Make a day trip if you’re not local. If you’re local and haven’t been then you need to support or locally owned businesses. Go!

The burgers are like something you wouldn’t try but always turn out one of the best things your mouth has tasted. And I’ve tasted lots;) milkshakes are FIREEEALSO! good service and very cool retro feel makes me feel at home love the old lady stinch in there too don’t worry it’s not a bad smell #gonow!

GREAT burger and shake emporium in downtown Gallatin. Our burger was outstanding and shake was very good. And I’m really picky when it comes to milkshakes. For example, never make a chocolate milkshake with chocolate ice cream. You use vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. These people know how to do it. Upstairs is a bar where live music is played, we were told. Downtown Gallatin is taking off. We were told this renaissance started just within the last couple of years. Growing up, all I knew about Gallatin was the powerhouse football teams of the Green Wave of Gallatin High School. Population growth in the area has resulted in new schools being built, which has thinned out the talent. So the Green Wave is not the power it used to be. But the city is very nice and is taking off.

I ordered the California Dreamin’ burger(described as a ½ lb burger with cheddar, avocado and salsa). The presentation was messy. It looked as if they had laid down the patty, then added a scoop of avocado and salsa very hastily(note that the restaurant wasn’t busy on a Monday around noon). The burger patty itself was your run of the mill Sysco-type frozen burger patty. The salsa was very wet, which in turn made the bun very soggy. I was only able to take two bites of the burger before the sogginess of the bun caused it to fall apart. Additionally, the taste of the salsa had every attribute of store bought or the same Sysco-type food profile. The tomatoes even came with that metal can taste. Both the avocado and salsa were cold, which transferred throughout the whole burger. I have never eaten a truly«cold» burger until now. The cheddar cheese had unfortunately congealed with the sogginess of the bread. No other toppings(lettuce or onion) were offered or placed atop the burger. The fries were the best part of the meal, and that’s rather sad. It’s a quaint place with tons of potential, if only food quality would improve.

I went here on a Saturday night to eat dinner and it was amazing!!! The service was pretty good and it was packed at one point. I would compare this restaurant to the pharmacy but all and all it was really good and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Went here with friends on a Wednesday night for burgers and fries. They have a great selection of burgers and their regular fries are really good. However, I found their buns to be too«bready» and don’t taste super fresh. Also, their sweet potato fries actually have sugar on them. It’s a bit weird with a burger. The service was fantastic, so no complaints there. The ambiance is also really good — very laid back(on a Wednesday). The beer selection is small but quality, so a good hang if you are looking for drinks. Go if you are in the area and looking for a good spot, but there are better burgers down the road in Nashville.

Really loved this place! Went for dinner with my boyfriend and the burgers were delicious. They have pickle fries here which are so good. I liked the set up of the restaurant too, the burgers had a little too much bun for us but were overall really good!

Swaney Swifts takes you back to the by gone era of the small town ice cream parlor. To go with their ice cream and sodas are quality burgers. My daughter said it was worth the dribble on her blouse. If you do not like burgers, they have some interesting grilled cheese sandwiches. Service was friendly and prompt. Upstairs is a beer room with beverages from the local area. Briarscratch is my favorite nanobrewery. They also have live music but I have never been there at that time.

Looking through photos from my trip a few weekends ago I realized I forgot to review Swaney Swift’s. Way to good not to review! We were visiting friends in Bethpage and decided to drive to the Gallatin square to get dessert at the ice cream counter. All of the desserts are HUGE so you may want to share. Had we known they all start with four scoops of ice cream, we would have picked just one. Although, both were really, really good. Oh Happy Days, a sundae that would make Joanie and ChaChi proud, and the Cookie Monster, so named after the beloved Sesame Street character, were our two picks. I LOVE ice cream and I LOVED these two desserts! Everyone working there was very nice and everyone really seemed to enjoy their jobs! How refreshing! It brought a smile to their faces when they got to put together one of the desserts that they knew would bring a smile to their patron’s face. If the food on the menu is half as good as the ice cream, you won’t be disappoint with it either. You must try Swaney Swift’s if you’re in the area!

This was our first visit and it was fantastic. The service was very friendly and our food came out very fast. I had the Red Barn burger and everyone else had the Southern. All were delicious, especially the maple mustard on mine. The sweet potato fries were great too! My wife got the Cracker Jack for dessert and loved it as well. If you want a beer with your meal they have a decent selection on tap, including local brews like Yazoo. I can’t wait to come back and try some of the other burgers!

Was working in Gallatin and this place came recommended. I found it remarkable, the similarities of SSwifts and The Pharmacy. Even down to the way its written. I got the«Swaney» burger. I loved the taste and the quality of which it was cooked. The only thing I would change is not putting as much sauce on it. Its very similar to the five alarm burger at M. L. Rose. Friendly service and a great lunch. EDIT17÷07÷15 — ok I failed to mention that these fools blatantly stole the Pharmacy’s logo. wow. So in a similar manner that Gallatin High School can’t come up with a unique logo –they had to steal the Green Bay Packer’s logo, these fools had to steal the logo of another burger joint? Lame. EDIT17÷03÷16 — ok maybe I need to spell it out to the many Unilocalers that keep sending me messages defending this place. I said they ‘stole the logo’ and I am adding a photo to prove my point. I know that this particular place was a pharmacy before it was a restaurant. That means nothing with regard to logo theft.

This place has been open for a week and the newness and excitement is evident when you walk in the door. I sat at the bar and both bartenders were more than attentive and had lots of suggestions from the menu. The menu is pretty limited-they don’t really have anything healthy on it! I ordered a root beer float. The presentation was cute, but I’ve tasted better. For the meal, I ordered the smokehouse bbq burger, which was huge and delicious! It comes with regular fries(not my favorite), but I ordered fried pickles on the side, which were fantastic! Overall, a great experience-will go back when I’m craving a burger!
