Dr. Eduardo Avila completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Food Science & Human Nutrition and Zoology. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine. After receiving his doctorate, Dr. Avila decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) at NSU in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before returning to Tufts University for his Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Avila went one step further to become Board Certified to ensure the specialized treatment you deserve!

Both of my children (22 and 16) have been Dr. Avila’s patients. He and his staff are wonderful. It is also a family office, in which his wife Amanda, who runs administrative part of Dr. Avila’s business, and he work as a team. They and their staff have been very caring, helpful and kind. I have already recommended them to several friends. They and their children are very happy with Dr. Avila’s work and great bed-​side manners.

After interviewing several Orthodontists, we decided to go with Dr. Avila. He is so personable, appears to really enjoy his job and his patients and sounds like he knows what he’s doing, the office is so bright and cheerful, it makes coming to the «dentist» more enjoyable and the office staff is warm and friendly — very welcoming. I never feel like I’m asking a dumb question and I’m sure I am since this is my 1st time around with orthodontia work. We are just getting started on this 2 yr adventure, hence why not 5 stars! We’ve had to call and go in a few times already with an issue, not Dr. A’s fault, and we were able to get in that day, which was my initial concern when choosing Dr. A considering we live almost 30 min from the Kentlands office (and farther from Rockville). As of now, I recommend this practice.

Dr. Avila and his staff are absolutely FANTASTIC! I wasted $ 500 at Dr. Norkiewicz’s office at state of the art dental. Never go to someone who is not an orthodontist for Invisalign treatment. They do not have sufficient training or knowledge! Dr. Avila and his wife Amanda (who is the patient coordinator) understood my concerns during my initial visit. They were so knowledgeable and I left the FREE consultation with confidence. Amanda worked with me on the pricing, allowed me to make monthly affordable payments with no interest. My treatment is estimated to be 12 months, I have 2 more months left and I am absolutely happy with how results are turning out. Also, Dr. Avila is willing to shave my teeth down to fix the un-​smooth edges at the end of treatment so it will look almost perfect!

–I am usually in and out of the office 10 – 15 minutes unless I break a bracket
–Dr. Avila resembles Keanu Reeves
–Appointments are very easy to make
–Dr. Avila has time to see you every visit
–Very open to any concerns I had
I am recommending my friend who bought an Invisalign living social deal (don’t get buy those) to come see Dr. Avila bc she is not happy with her treatment. Remember, always go to an orthodontist for Invisalign & you get what you pay for! If you’re paying to get something fixed, you mind as well pay good money for it to be perfection!
