Jerry’s A/C and Auto Repair

Brought 2 vehicles to Jerry’s both broke down within 2 days of repair one was a total loss the other is sitting in yard was charged over $ 1200.00 for a used differential with installation was told by 2 different mechanics I called that for what I was charged I should have been given a new part I am on disability and unable to tow my car to an other mechanic till next month but was told by Jerry he had several cars for sale explained to him that car was my brother’s before he passed away so replacing was not an option. Jerry’s did give me an extra month to pay off bill without charging me a storage fee which was helpful was told by Jerry to have my car towed in to him and he’ll look at it, had used my last AAA to tow it to his shop in the first place so been without a car for over a month now thanks Jerry for all your help, integrity in mechanics dying breed

This was second visit to Jerry’s and they did the same great work as before. Their air conditioning major overhaul was done to perfection and on this second visit they successfully installed a rather tricky clutch master cylinder mod and full clutch system rebuild. I now have a happy C5 Corvette thanks to their good work.

They are amazing. I was at Napa auto parts around 5pm. Discovered I needed a new alternator, called Jerry’s and he waited for me and changed the alternator while I waited. Took less than 30 minutes and could not have been nicer. My son is fixing to come to UF and he will use them for all of his work.

This is a great locally owned business. I have an older car that was burning oil and they fixed the problem. They now offer shuttle service too. They seem to be honest and know what they are doing.

Our family has used Jerry’s forever. They are always upfront, show you the problem and fix it quickly and for a fair price. My father in-​law is a former mechanic and he uses Jerrys too. I love the new waiting room and the sweet dogs are a nice distraction. Emma can come home with me anytime!

So my 1986 Volvo breaks down about 30 minutes outside of Gainesville on a Friday night. I have to find a mechanic in area that I’m unfamiliar with, and I don’t trust dealerships, and my car is kind of an oddball due to its age. A quick search on Google and I find Jerry’s. All good reviews. Next morning I get a ride over there from the hotel, and the manager is really friendly, and said they are looking into it. They tell me the fuel pump is out. $ 350 to repair. Let’s do it I say, this is at about 10am. I waited till 3pm, closing time, and it’s done, which is ironic, but fine, whatever. I pay it, and I’m on my way. I get down the road, I’m about 30 minutes outside of Zephyrhills, and bam, dead again. I take it to my local mechanic the next day, he says it’s the battery, battery is dead. Why didn’t Jerry’s catch that? They had the car for five hours! Then, two weeks later, I notice a slight leak underneath. I reach down and let the liquid splash on my hand. Guess what, it’s fuel. It’s coming from my brand new $ 350 fuel pump. Fantastic. Long story short, I’m not sure if Jerry’s can be trusted. Your experience may differ, but I feel like I spent $ 350 to just get an hour closer to home when my car broke down.

Jerry’s A/​C has been in business for a long time and there’s a lot of good reasons for it. They’ve also grown quite a bit since I first met Jerry in the 1980’s
They pretty much work on everything and I’ve seen them «bring dead cars back to life»! They’ll rebuild transmissions, build hot rods, and of course perform routine maintenance.

Good, honest mechanic is hard to find. This guy is a good one.
