We’ve tried to come here multiple times because I have a Groupon but the wait is always over an hour and the entrance area is always crowded and loud and not worth the headache so we always end up heading elsewhere. Today we decided to wait it out(even though the entrance area and the line just to check in took forever) and although the food is always on point I will stick to the location downtown. The staff that was responsible for checking people in seemed prett lost and clueless as to what was available and how long the wait would be, our Bloody Mary’s took awhile to come out, and it’s much louder than the downtown location.(The Bloody Mary was well worth the $ 10 and the wait though!) As usual the food was delicious! Both The Hulk and The Juggernaut were not disappointing and both are large enlighten that we always take home half of it for breakfast the next day. The menus still listed hashbrowns as a side option but the waitress informed us that they recently replaced them with home fries so I went with that. They were rather bland and underwhelming although they looked way better than they tasted. For the price, the wait times, and the annoyance of the checkin process and ambience I will stick to the downtown location(which is much closer to me and has a more laid back vibe).

Headed to Super Chef for lunch on a weekend, and it was very not unexpectedly was very busy. All the servers and hosts seemed slightly stressed and a bit overwhelmed at the amount of people. There was even a birthday party set up at one of the tables. Our wait was about 45 minutes. We did check in at the hostess table when we were not seated by our quoted time and were seated soon after. As the name infers this is a super hero themed. On the day I was there all the servers were wearing Ninja Turtle shirts. I wonder this changes daily/weekly. Wall décor, food names and menus all reflect this theme. Fun concept! I was lame and did not order a superhero themed meal and instead opted for a Veggie breakfast sandwich. I enjoyed it, especially the home fries. I am going to say the highlight of the visit was the cucumber and citrus infused water, I loved it and it kind of overshadowed the food. I think I will go back to try other menu options and to take someone who is into superheroes.

No joke! I am from LA, and we have all had Roscoes! Hands-down, this place will take Roscoes out! The best breakfast sandwiches and chicken and waffles I think I’ve ever had! The waffles taste like churros because they’re made a cake batter! The caramelize their chicken and it is extra sweet! They have really good a cucumber and orange water plus the service is probably some of the best. They also have a full bar if you are into mimosas! It’s a really cool comic book team as well as amazing music! If you are ever in the Columbus Ohio area you must visit this place! Cheers to Super Chef

Hands. Down. The. Best. Breakfast. Sandwich. Ever. I was visiting Ohio and never thought I would have a reason to return until my visit to SuperChefs! The Juggernaut is AMAZING! The flavors are unlike any other breakfast you have had! I know that is hard to believe since its comprised of common breakfast foods, but they have found a balance that just works! It’s sweet and savory(I could use a little more spice) but I will be making a Trip back just for this sandwich!!! I promise it’s worth the wait and they have a super cool super hero theme that people of all ages can appreciate!

Wow! If you like big stacks of pancakes, this place is for you. The food was amazing although we did not opt for the pancakes(to tell the truth we were a little intimidated by the size of the stack). My spinach, feta omelet was delicious. I want to go back with a group and try the pancake sampler plate. My friend said her mimosa was really good and we loved the flavored water. The staff all had on superhero t-shirts and the restaurant has a superhero theme. Take a jacket and wear long pants because it’s cold inside which is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.

How such a cool and unique place missed my radar I don’t understand??? This is an adults/kids SUPERHERO’s dream come true! All Marvel theme restaurant! The décor, details, and menu! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! The place needs to be renamed(only because of its awesomeness and no one gets the concept until they experience it!) — it’s spectacular– without the BS trademark crap of Marvel! I know this because I threw my sons 3rd Birthday party-Spider Man! The bs behind getting anything done using the trademark was a complete nightmare! I had to make everything on my own! Such a shame! The ENTIRE restaurant is Marvel themed with the owners added love! No detail goes unnoticed for me. I absolutely adore this owner took a risk and not only loves but lives his dreams! Red and green different waffle sandwiches? Who knew this would work?! The waffles and pancakes we saw-LORD! Differently superhero/gourmet inspired thoughts on a plate?! Yes please!!! The things are HUGE! We will be trying the, not your average pancakes, next time around! The guy in front of us ordered the OG Pancake platter! Yeah-he couldn’t even finish it! And it looked amazing! It is worth noting the house water is in-infused with cucumber, lemon, orange, and lime slices at no additional charge! The staff is super friendly, helpful, and attentive! The home fries-to die for! Fresh cut, roasted red peppers, topped with a red pepper butter-lord-amazing! My sons Flash breakfast-he LOVED! Hubby loved his Juggernaut red waffle sandwich– a chicken breast fried in a sweet Crispy batter, jack cheese and a hard fried egg. I had the breakfast pizza with a side of sour cream. I am not a fan of sweet meat. So my pizza had maple syrupy bacon on it. I also didn’t get to drink coffee-because they only serve Sweet and Low and regular sugar. For a place that goes above and beyond on the details-they fell short here truly. This breakfast pizza also needs to be renamed to Cap’s Shield! Would seriously sell better! It’s an underdog! We also had a sample of the grits! I am from the south and am always on guard to try Ohio chefs attempts to grits. It was good. No seasoning. However, I think with the creole seasoned shrimp and sauce you add to it-it’s a keeper! Very good flavoring! We will be back! Great place!

Ah what can I say that hasn’t already been said? Like the majority of these reviews, I too enjoy the food and atmosphere. I too have had unsuccessful visits where the wait was just way too long, especially on the weekends. The problem has been solved. Thursday nights between 6−9pm there is live jazz. It’s totally chill with a good vibe and the same good food. I hadn’t even realized that alcohol was served until my Thursday night visit. Hopefully, the Thursday evening live music isn’t a temporary thing. I suggest to avoid a frustrating afternoon visit, you may want to come on Thursday. Like I said, same delicious menu items and prices, along with free entertainment. Also, if you enjoy sweet, fruity drinks you may want to try the Lemon Rose. My only complaint is that the glass needs to be bigger!

Chance led us here today. We’ve been to the other location, and kept meaning to come here but the crowds kept us away. At 1pm on a Friday things didn’t look bad, so we came in. We had Baby K. with us, and the staff were quick to bring a high chair(actually a stand for the carseat, which worked great.) Service the whole time was fast and friendly. Sweetie got her usual French toast, with candied bacon as a side. I stay away from super sweet breakfasts– used to love them, but as I get older I just can’t eat them much for some reason. Still, I was tempted by the«banana pudding baked Alaska» pancakes, so I gave in. They were awesome. A huge stack of small but thick pancakes, bananas cooked in, drizzled with sauce and interspersed with pats of ice cream instead of butter. So, so good. I only ate half– it was huge, and as I said sweets in the morning tend to overwhelm me. Plus, they usually don’t travel well so I end up wasting them. I reheated these for breakfast the next day and they held up just fine. Only thing I would suggest is adding more banana slices. Sweetie liked her French toast, and we both loved the bacon– cooked just right, with a thick glaze. Yum. They bring a carafe of water with cukes and fruit in it, which was nice. This location is bigger than the other, I think, and decorated with superhero stuff. I’m sure we will be back, if we can avoid the crowds.

My sister and I visited Super Chef’s for brunch yesterday. We had a groupon for the restaurant and were really excited to visit because we had heard great things. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations so we took our chances when we walked in to test the wait. The hostess informed us that the wait was 45 minutes which we didn’t mind doing because it was pretty crowded and we did arrive noon on a Sunday. We passed time by walking around a bit on the pretty sad looking strip of shops, and returned after 45 minutes. We were informed that it would still be another 30 minutes. When we finally got our table we had waited a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes. This is a hell of a long time to wait for a table and to be honest if we hadn’t already purchased our groupon we wouldn’t have bothered to wait. When we were finally sat down at our table we already knew what we wanted as we had perused the menu during what seemed like an infinite wait. We ordered immediately, but the food took about 35 minutes to come out. At this point we were STARVING! We ordered the OG pancake platter, the veggie breakfast sandwich and a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary came out first. The garnish had a piece of shrimp on it and my sister and I are vegetarians. We reacted when it was brought over and the waitress asked us if we were allergic to shrimp. We told her we were actually vegetarian and she didn’t really seem to care and just walked away. I understand to some people this isn’t a big deal, but I feel that ATTHELEAST she could have offered to bring out a different drink without the shrimp. The food was pretty good, but definitely didn’t amaze me. But, to be honest, after waiting a total of almost 2 hours it was going to take a lot to impress me. The veggie sandwich was supposed to come out with shredded hashbrowns but instead came out with regularly diced potatoes. The pancakes tasted really normal to me, something I could definitely make at home. And they weren’t that«original» or anything. Pretty standard flavor combinations in my opinion. When we just took a break in our meal, we definitely weren’t finished, the waitress hustled over with the check and a box for our food. So convenient for them to make us wait so long and then hurry us out the second we put a fork down. Womp. She also forgot to include our groupon deal in the check and had to print an additional one. The food at Super Chef’s is pretty good, but I would only recommend coming here at an odd hour, either really early or later in the afternoon. Definitely not worth the wait. The service sucked in my opinion and really put me off. SUPER super I won’t be visiting Super Chef’s again.

Came for a late breakfast/lunch on a Tuesday and only had to wait 5 min for a table. Food was amazing! I had the Elvis($ 10.99) and couldn’t even eat half! Guess I know what I’m having tomorrow! Oh and the side of bacon… is a must! Best bacon ever!!!

Stopped in today for a quick lunch/brunch. It was packed and we had a wait of about 50 minutes. The space was a little small, but it was worth it. I had«The Hulk» which was a waffle with egg, cheese, bacon, and sausage(I’m a sucker for some good chorizo). My food was great and so was one of the blueberry pancakes I managed to steal from a friend. I really wanted to try the grits, but was told that having the shrimp removed was not an option, and I’m allergic. Bummer.

Interesting enough place. Really busy for weekend breakfast/brunch. Bloody Mary’s are really pretty, but just taste ok. Veggie omelet was decent. The hash browns were my favorite part of this place– absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed his gargantuan waffle sandwich. Service was ok.

There’s always a wait here so I was expecting something truly delicious– once we finally tired it out, I wasn’t disappointed but definitely not worth the wait. We got the veggie omelet which was pretty big and it came with really good home fries and a small green salad(wish there was more of it). Also got the candied bacon croissant sandwich and a side of the blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were really good, super fluffy and them came with this lemon custard cream sauce… very good but on the sweet side. The service was incredibly slow. Once seated we got water right away but after that it took quite a bit of time to order coffee and eventually our food. Once we we got our bill we had to wait just as long for our waitress to come and get it… seems like a staffing issue during the weekend.

I’ve been hearing about how great Super Chef’s is from friends and others in the Columbus area since early 2014 and had almost forgotten about this place until I saw a promotion for it on Groupon. I bought a Groupon for $ 13 which offered $ 20 worth of food for two or more, however, and this is my fault, I didn’t know that it could only be used at the downtown location. I honestly don’t see what difference it makes but… whatever. My first impression when coming in was, «Why is it so small?» I was not feeling the size of this place. It was a little too open for my taste; I prefer booths with a little more privacy so no one can watch me be a total pig lol. Also, I did not like how loud the music was. While I enjoyed the type of music they were playing, it could’ve been turned down a bit. I mean, I had a really hard time conversing with my brunch date. ANYWAY…Onward to the food, which was delicious. First off, we were given infused water — cucumber, lemon and orange slices — and it were incredibly refreshing and already had my mouth salivating for more. I ordered the Blueberry Pancakes with Lemon Butter Cream and a side of Turkey Apple Sausage and my guest ordered the Mango BBQ Wings with a side of Fries. Our serve(who was incredibly friendly by the way) brought out my pancakes and holy crap, I was not expecting a stack of 10 ‘cakes; they were so good — fluffy and flavorful. The side of sausage I ordered, meh, not so much. They were pretty flavorless, a little on the cold side and should’ve been taken back but I was too wrapped up in my pancakes that I kind of forgot about them anyway. I tried one of my guests wings and OMG! BESTWINGSEVER! Definitely try the Mango BBQ Wings if you decide to go, you will not be sorry. All in all I’d definitely go back… next time to the downtown location so I can use this Groupon I paid for. The atmosphere, in my opinion, is kind of sucky but the food definitely makes up for it.

I ordered the pretty basic breakfast with three eggs, scrambled with cheese and options, hashbrowns, sausage with chorizo, mixed field greens with honey mustard vinaigrette, and a croissant. It was ok. The eggs were dry. I didn’t finish everything. Maybe next time I will try the special pancakes. The bloody Mary wasn’t as large as the pictures portrayed but it was pretty good. Spent $ 22 myself.

Stopped in for some breakfast on a Saturday morning, since we were in the neighborhood. Glancing around, the space is bigger. Definitely more tables than their downtown brick and mortar. Large stretch of a bar, so people can sit on those stools, too. Same great menu as Broad St. A bit louder; the bigger space warrants it. It would be very helpful if the waiting space was bigger. But then it would take away some of the table space. So, really it’s a plus to the minus. I’ve managed to only make it to SC at the breakfast time, so I’ve never tried anything on the lunch menu. This was my chance to change that. The kitchen was fine with me ordering the Aquaman Quesadilla. A silent joint of exstaticness shot thru me — yippee! Everything, as always, came out hot and fresh! Loved the Salmon and crab meat. The honey mustard drizzle smack down the middle gave a slight sweet taste to contrast. Very good! A tad disappointed when my side of hash browns were brought out. I would stake my life for the downtown, crispy shoestring hashers. I was prepared to get that same bomb-diggity nest, but instead was brought a circle of potato shreds. Lightly fried on the top and bottom of this discus, but soft inside — chunky mashed potatoes? Yeah, that description is about right. Good potato taste, but I don’t want mashed potatoes; I want the downtown-style that is so addictive. Ya win some, you lose some. ‘Dillas were scrumptious. However, the hash, and urban vibe, of the downtown spot will always bring me back to Broad St. I’m thankful that local is soon to be reopening from renovating — tick tock, tick tock: p

When sucking down a deep fried Snickers doesn’t quite fill you with enough sugar. When you think your butt should grow big enough to take up two seats on an airplane. When you think Paula Deen needs to cool it with the low fat recipes. When your kids haven’t bounced off quite enough walls for you. When you think IHOP and Scrambler Marie’s have just gone too far with the good-for-you foods. For all these reasons and more, there’s Super Chef’s. So come on down and enjoy Richard Simmons’ every waking nightmare. Gaze at the wonder that is a Reese’s peanut butter cup jammed between each thick pancake on your plate. Rejoice in the sugar explosion that is a pancake smothered in banana pudding and then drowned in a chocolate sauce. Jump in giddiness when served four ginormous pancakes stuffed with every breakfast food you can imagine and then sunk into a lake of maple syrup. Or maybe dine on the red velvet pancakes — smooched with a cream cheese whipped topping in between each hotcake. I speak in hyperbole, of course. But, not by much. Let’s put it this way: if you think Americans just aren’t fat enough, you will love this place. But not for me. No thank you. *This coming from a guy who can down a whole pizza inside of 24 hours.
