N C Transmission

Well, it is a new year and a new month and I’m not sorry to say that I still haven’t been paid what i am owed by this company since leaving in August of 2015. I can see by the response to my last review on Google that apparently my address was somehow forgotten or mysteriously got changed from all the paperwork you have (love the e-​mail you sent by the way claiming you don’t have it). My address is NOT bogus. It is Dalton Williams at 1612 Bulon drive Cary NC 27 518. It is the same address that appears on every check stub (from NC Transmissions) and on my my 2014 W2, (also from NC Transmissions). If you are referring to the address that was on my license at the time, that is my sisters address and is NOT bogus either but you already knew that. I am tired of your games. (nice little edit on the google response to include the labor board) You know where to send my W2. People all you have to do is read the reviews on here and on Google to know to avoid this place,

I will not take my vehicle any where else. Daniel and his crew have been my mechanic for the last 3 years and they are amazing. Being a woman, I hate when I go into a shop and get treated like I don’t know what’s going on or get taken advantage of. This is not the case at NC Transmission. Daniel and his crew treat me like one of the guys. If I don’t understand something they break it down for me. Plus their fees are amazing too! I called around for quotes on a few things that I needed fixed over the last 3 years and Daniel always beats anyone else’s price. Needless to say I don’t call around for quotes anymore.

I used NC transmissions to take a look at the brake light that was on. They came back with a plethora of problems with my car and a 3,000 dollar price tag to go along with it. I had the brakes fixed only. After having another repairman take a look, I was told their markups on parts was 100 percent and that their cost for labor was way higher than the average. Get 2^nd opinions. Nc transmissions is pricy.

Daniel and the guys at NC Trans are great! They are honest about what you need and wont BS you. They will get you going with what ever automotive repair you need. It’s hard to find a good mechanic that you can trust, I have found you at NC Transmission.

We had our transmission done on one of our work vehicles at NC Transmission and they did a great job at a fair price. They where recommended by us from our long-​time auto mechanic shop.

My car was misfiring and I didn’t want to drive it to my normal mechanic, so I took a gamble and brought it to NC Transmission which was close by. Their close proximity turned out to be the only good thing going for them. After a few hours they called back and told me there was a hole in the piston head and that replacing everything would cost somewhere around $ 4000! I would basically need to replace the engine.
Needless to say I went and got some 2^nd and 3^rd opinions, and everyone I could find told me that that sounds pretty far-​fetched, as the computer is designed to avoid creating an environment where a hole could develop in a piston head. I also asked my normal mechanic who said to try swapping out ignition coils. Well, I’m really glad to say that the ignition coil was indeed the problem, which was only $ 65 plus a little bit of my own labor to get to it.
So, I’m giving NC Transmission 1 star because this was such a huge error on their part. They are supposed to be experts, but they tried to attribute a critical error as the cause of a pretty minor problem. So either they have someone who is super-​incompetent working in their garage, or they were hoping to milk $ 4000 out of me. Either way, I’ll never be visiting NC Transmission again.
