I was the seller of 1117 Hornet Way in Fullerton. The Adam and Eric Team greatly exceeded my expectations if every facet of the process. Their marketing was incredible, especially the virtual tour that they produced. I have never seen anything like it, the pictures were absolutely amazing! Adam and Eric walked me through the whole process of selling and were always available when I had questions (which I had a lot of). They followed through on all promises, kept me well informed, negotiated on my behalf and got me everything I wanted, and then some. I would highly recommend The Adam and Eric Team to anyone looking to buy or sell in the area. They have been the best realtors that I have ever worked with and I can’t wait to work with them again.

Overall, working with Adam to sell our house was frustrating and disappointing. His strongest attribute is that he responds VERY quickly to texts and emails. I did appreciate that. I just wish I hadn’t had to contact him so often with questions, concerns and reminders. Adam talks a good game during the sales pitch, but then fails to deliver on what he promises.
At our first meeting, Adam listed all the great things he would do to market our house. He kept mentioning all the «communication» we would have throughout the process. The photos and his photographer, Dan, were great. However, when Adam listed our house, he forgot to post the virtual tour. Luckily, I caught that and asked him to add it. Our listing was included in the «featured» section of the real estate websites, but it was never highlighted in the manner that Adam had promised. Adam also never put up the text number he had described which would allow people to get the virtual tour sent to their phone. I finally had to contact him and insist that he set this up.
In our initial meeting, we asked how showings would work as we had a dog at home and we both work during the day. Adam said appointments would be scheduled when I could come home or he was happy to come over himself to take our dog out. After we signed the contract, Adam suggested that he list MY cell phone number as the contact number for our listing. He wanted all the agents to call ME to schedule appointments! I refused and reminded Adam that this is what we were paying him to do.
Adam had promised us feedback from buyers’ agents, but since we were getting so much interest (and offers), he didn’t seem to want to make the effort. I insisted that he follow up with the agents for the feedback.
After accepting an offer on our house, we couldn’t get an accurate sales contract from Adam. The first contract he sent us had the incorrect sale price on it. I let Adam know and he sent a second contract. It was the same as the first with the wrong price. I contacted Adam again. Finally, the third contract was correct.
Adam’s lack of attention to detail continued through the escrow process. I had to constantly ask Adam what was happening and what needed to be done — he wasn’t proactive about providing any information. The buyers brought in inspectors, but Adam never followed up to give me an idea of how the inspection went (even though his assistant was present for the inspection and could at least say whether it seemed good or bad). I kept telling Adam I wanted this follow up, but he just never did it.
The deadline to remove contingencies came and went with no word from Adam. Finally, the day after the deadline, I contacted him and asked what was happening. He said he didn’t know but could follow up with their agent. I replied that, yes, I did want him to follow up and take the steps necessary to get the buyer to do what they were supposed to do.
We were excited to have a «sold» sign placed in front of our house. Adam had promised to put it up as soon as the contingencies were removed, but a week and a half passed and still no «sold» sign. I finally insisted that he put up the sign — escrow was closing in less than a week and we wanted some satisfaction of seeing the sign up. Adam had the nerve to claim that he actually had put up a sign, but that it was stolen that same day (and that he knew it). Totally crazy — no one would steal that. And even if someone had and Adam knew it, why wouldn’t he just tell us and put up a another sign? I asked him to leave the «new» sign up through Monday (one week) and he agreed. Then he took the sign down two days early.
And did we get the best price for our house? Nope. A less-​desirable house (in Adam’s own words) down the street sold just after ours for $ 20k more and it is the same size/​configuration as ours, on a slightly bigger lot, but on a less desirable street and with less curb appeal.
While we were happy our house sold after just one week (and for more than ask because we apparently priced it too low), I don’t feel it was related to anything Adam did — we have a nice house in a high-​demand area and there was little inventory. So, we just paid Adam a ton of money to file some paperwork, take photos, set up appointments, and hold an open house. Considering what houses are selling for in our area, his 3% commission is ridiculous when you look at how little work he did. Had he at least demonstrated excellent customer service and attention to detail, I wouldn’t be as upset about it.
And after getting paid all this quick and easy money, what does he do? Adam showed his appreciation by sending me a text and an email to say congratulations when escrow closed and thank you. That was it. Not even a phone call, card, or thank you gift. His apathy turned what should have been a celebratory experience into an anti-​climatic bummer. I definitely would not work with him again.

Adam and Eric are a great team and with fantastic support team (Samantha and Dan) behind them as well. I first worked with them on the estate sale of my mothers home which went very smoothly, then the purchase of our new home and sale of our current home. They are very responsive to questions and helping you through the process of both buying and selling. The only negative, which is not their fault and they are working on it, was the home inspector they recommended. We found some very apparent issues that the inspector missed and ultimately cost us a lot of money. BUT, when I let Adam know of this issue, he thanked me for the info and said they are working on finding a new inspector.

A little background on my situation– we bought our condo at the height of the market in 2007, before the housing crash. We were underwater for the whole 8 years that we owned the property; with my family growing, we needed more space and decided we must sell the property at a loss. We did not have time to wait until home values increased to break even.
At first, we decided to hire a big name agent in Brea, thinking he would provide the best chance of selling our condo. He said the first 21 days once a property is listed is most crucial, so we moved out to avoid the heavy foot traffic that is expected. We thought this sale would be a slam dunk because whenever any property in my community is listed, it sells almost instantly. We received only 1 offer the first month, which we accepted, but it fell through before we opened escrow. After 6 months on the market, no other offers. We even asked for feedback from the showings to see what they did not like about our condo, but the agency had no answers. We were annoyed because we did everything in our power, including the huge inconvenience of moving out, to make sure our property sold quickly. We held 5 open houses. Throughout the process, we worked solely with the realtor’s assistants, and not the «big name» realtor himself. We decided to take the property off the market because we were discouraged.
When we decided to list again, a friend of mine recommended Adam Brett, and it turned out my wife knew who he was because he was a patient of hers. We interviewed him and brought up all of our concerns about our previous attempt at sale, and he addressed all of the issues. He even suggested a different strategy to sell our home, which was the complete opposite of what we did before– we decided to trust him because he knows more than we do when it comes to selling a home.
What I like most about Adam is that he embraces the digital age in which we currently live, and uses state of the art technology to market and sell a home. Along with the beautiful HDR photographs, he provides a «virtual tour» of your home so that prospective buyers can see what the property looks like online. Also– whenever somebody views your home, you automatically get an email stating so, and online feedback is automatically requested from the buyers’ agent! We knew exactly how many times our home was being showed, what the buyers liked or disliked based on the online feedback, and whether their buyer is planning on a second showing or making an offer.
Prior to the open house, we had multiple offers already– after the open house, we had several competing offers. We were actually on vacation during the open house, and Adam emailed me all of the offers as they came in. What’s great about Adam’s service is that everything is done digitally, so we could digitally sign through the email to make counteroffers or to accept offers. Sure beats having to receive an offer through email, print it, sign it, scan it, and resend the email!
We ended up accepting an offer during the vacation, and opened escrow when we got back. Escrow ran smoothly and efficiently– we closed in about 3 weeks and didn’t even have to make a physical appearance to sign papers.
I highly recommend Adam Brett to sell your home. When we signed with him, he was the one working with us, not just his assistants. He was readily accessible through texts, emails, or phone calls, and responded right away. He employs the best technology in this digital age to help sell and market your home. He has the best strategies to market your home to get the best results for you. Thanks to Adam, we can move on and find our dream home!

I hired Adam to sell our home in Placentia and it went very poorly.
I was very disappointed in Adam’s advice and performance, particularly in light of his positive reviews and how well he interviewed.
The sales pitch Adam gave to get the listing was GREAT. The pictures taken by one of Adam’s staffers were FANTASTIC…
Unfortunately, after the pictures were posted things went DOWNHILL VERY FAST… from recommendations on pricing, to the pricing/​marketing strategy, to the selection of a «prospective» buyer.
There were points during the process where my instincts and experience told me to disregard Adam’s advice, but I didn’t. Ignoring that internal voice was a big mistake.
I’m a reasonable person.
I believe in markets. There is only so much someone who is marketing your home can do. Its strengths are its strengths and its shortcomings are its shortcomings. I don’t expect miracles.
I wasn’t expecting a windfall or a remarkable experience. My expectations were very very reasonable. That being said, Adam’s performance did not meet those very reasonable expectations. As such I cannot recommend him, nor would I do business with him as a seller again.

I called Adam for help I was interested in a property for rent. but things seem to be a little bit fishy. I wasn’t sure if the person that was offering the home was actually the owner so i asked for adam’s assistance. He not only checked to see if the name was on title but he also check to see if it was going to be foreclosed soon. everything checked out it was not a scam and I got to benefit from a very good opportunity. Adam Brett did this all out of the kindness of his heart he didn’t ask for one dollar. thank you Adam and that goes to show that you can trust a man with two first names :-)

I can’t recommend them enough. As long as they’re around we’ll be using them for our home selling and buying needs. Total pros! My wife and I said (after our disastrous first home buying experience) that we would go with realtors we trust. Adam and Eric made selling our house and buying a new one easier than buying a car. My husband and I highly recommend Adam for your real estate needs. He helped us buy our first home together and looked out for us all along the way, even with some stressful situations that arose. I have been dealing with real estate in one form or another for the last 18 years, so with some level of experience I can honestly say Adam and Eric are the most professional and proactive agents I have ever used.
My first experience with them was with a rental property that another agent could not get any activity after two months of listing. I than switched to Adam and Eric, one week later rented.
My second experience was with a sale of a property, one week later sold.
