Nate Allen – Crane Real Estate

After talking to several real estate agents that came highly recommended, I’ve decided to go with Nate Allen. First, he made a point to contact me back, which led to several texts back and forth until we finally talked on the phone. He is quite diligent, whether it is returning my phone call or initiating a text or email for the next step in the process. I am a big proponent of his real estate philosophy, in which he tries to educate his clients so they can make the best informed decision. At the same, he is willing to give his honest opinion about a real estate matter, even if it works against his own interest. That sort of integrity is certainly admirable and refreshing. Other real estate agents wanted me to sell my home first before I looked for my next home as a contingent buyer. Nate, on the other hand, offered a couple of different options (with no pressure) and understood how it would be difficult for me to put my home on the market without some sort of target in mind. He offered to help us look for a home, and make sure we were aware of all the advantages and disadvantages of living in a particular city or neighborhood. Having an agent like Nate working in your best interest is quite reassuring for a nervous buyer like myself. Keep up the good work Nate!

I don’t know why, but my review from over two years ago was removed. Either way, just as I had Nate help me purchase a home over two years ago, I had him help me sell it recently. Nate is great. I did not hesitate in calling him when I decided to sell my house. He was extremely helpful. By the way, my home is in Orange County and I sold it while living in San Francisco. Even so, Nate took care of everything and kept me updated with information and with paperwork that I needed to review and sign. For home buyers or sellers, if you want someone who is thorough with paper work and with information, Nate is the right one to contact.

First, I apologize for this lengthy post, but it’s difficult not include all that Nate had done for us. Please have patience.
Nate came to us as a referral from three different friends. Two friends had purchased a house, and one had sold their home. We heard many positive qualities about Nate, so we called him for sale of our home.
Our plan was to downsize and purchase a smaller home, but because we had two dogs, we needed to rent back for 3 months and also needed the potential buyer to absorb our solar panel lease, which was very new.
Because the market was not where we needed to be, Nate said he would call us when the market came up. Five weeks later, Nate called us and said he believed the market was near what we wanted, but he pushed the numbers up and over what the area comparables were to test the market.
Nate prepped himself for the «sale» of the solar lease, he gathered all the info on the area, along with stats for the area schools, and about 10 days later, we listed our house and had open house all weekend with several offers.
The last offer that came in agreed on the selling price and the solar lease. But the potential buyers did not understands the lease and the cost versus the savings.
Again, Nate took it upon himself to research the solar costs versus the electricity used. He gathered all that info and provided it to the potential buyers. Through his diligence, he relieved us of that costly solar lease and coordinated a 90 day rent-​back!
It didn’t end there because we still needed to find a smaller home. We went to numerous locations and found a complex which we fell in love with, but nothing was for sale. Nate decided to hand-​write 200 flyers and mail them to the residents/​homeowners, but there was no response.
Another 3 weeks went by and he mailed out a second batch. Then a homeowner called him regarding our interest to purchase. Two days later, we went and saw the home and wrote up an offer that day, which was accepted.
Throughout this stressful ordeal, Nate was always there for us! He kept the lines of communication open at all times of the day/​night and updated us on everything. He is detail-​oriented and he does not take shortcuts.
Not only did he excel in his knowledge of real estate, but he is very knowledgeable and well-​educated in mathematics and structural design, which is beneficial when your looking to buy something and he points out to you a structural fault in the property…
By the time we sold, then bought our home, we’ve grown very close to him. Probably painful to him, but we adore him and his obsession to please his clients by getting them what they want as proven in our case!
With Nate, you will NOT be just a «sale» or a number. He is a hands-​on realtor and his objective is to get you what you want. He possess all the qualities that we were looking for when we decided to downsize.
We have and will continue to refer him to our family and friends!

My husband and I came to Nate with a complicated request. The home of a lifetime came available in Yorba Linda before we were ready to sell our existing home. Nate kicked into overdrive, helped us complete the remodel and staging, held back to back open houses and got us multiple offers and into escrow within days. Nate Allen was recommended to me by a friend who previously hired him to complete a short-​sale for her. These days, I’m pretty mistrusting of realtors and banks in general because I know so many good people who have lost their homes and been taken advantage of by posers who took advantage of them.

Nate helped my parents purchase a house in Fullerton recently (they’re still unpacking boxes). In January I tagged along with Nate and my parents to look at some prospects.
It’s clear from range of his knowledge of the area and the types of houses that real estate is a passion of Nate’s. He’s not one of those agents that just reads off the listing page and cannot make inferences beyond that.
It’s also readily apparent that Nate fully understands that people want their real estate agent to be someone who can communicate clearly and honestly and treat his clients like real people because Nate does exactly that; he openly states his misgivings about different properties and doesn’t push or manipulate his clients. He is interested in accommodating his clients needs over any commission that he makes… even if they’re not quite sure what they want yet.
This past weekend, although the transactional relationship between he and my parents has been wrapped up, he took my parent around Los Angeles to personally give them a better idea of the area, and show them models of homes on similar plots to give them ideas of how to improve their new home. Unnecessary, but awesome.

His attention to detail and knowledge of the market proved invaluable, and resulted in multiple offers with only a week on the market. After an VERY quick sale of the condo, we immediately began looking at homes with Nate. After only a handful of homes seen, we found the one that was perfect for us in Whittier! Although there admittedly were many challenges with the purchase of the home, Nate always knew what to do, who to call, and most importantly acted immediately when issues presented themselves. We definitely got lucky finding this house, but by us doing our homework in regards to what we wanted and where, and listening to Nate’s advice we were able to act quick and without hesitation (which is crucial in today’s real estate market). Nate is one of the most detail oriented professionals I have ever worked with, and I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase or sell a home!

I can’t say enough praises for Nate Allen. Let me sum it up quickly and then expound. Nate sold our condo from start to finish in less than a month and then, without hesitation, found us the most amazing house in the same amount of time. Throughout the process, there were, understandably, many ups and downs that normally go with most real estate transactions. Nate remained unwavering and in charge. He always knew exactly what to do. My favorite attribute in Nate is his amazing communication skills. No matter what the challenge, Nate always went above and beyond to keep us informed and educated with every aspect and decision that needed to be made. Kudos! Overall, it’s clear Nate is passionate about what he does. He is educated and makes educated decisions. I must strongly encourage and recommend anyone looking for a realtor to consider Nate Allen.
