McFadden Properties

I have been a tenant of McFadden Properties for 10 years now. They have been nothing but professional, helpful, and extremely nice. Our house is being sold, so we will miss the McFaddens!

I am not sure what the backlash is from some of the other reviewers… I have had nothing but a wonderful living experience renting from the McFaddens. First, they leave you be. They understand what while your are renting it is YOUR place. They do not show up unnannounced nor do they walk through your place telling you what you can and cannot do. That said, when you want them around to get something fixed — a quick email and they’re right on it. Their prices are super fair and they are not sticklers for rent that shows up a little late. They are very understanding and flexible and are not going to hit you with a bunch of fees because there is a human element of trust there. They did annual maintenaince on the building — kept it in great shape. When roommates moved out and rooms were available, they never forced strangers upon us and always let us pick our next roommates (despite the extended periods of time this often took). Overall, Ed and Carol are very sweet, down to earth, understanding people. They are willing to help and work with all of their tenants. I suggest just keeping communication open. If you drop rent in the mail 3 days late, just email Carol and she’ll greatly appreciate the honesty. They’ll reciprocate those small things 10 fold. Overall, I have not had a better tenancy than my time with Carol and Ed. To be honest, I am not looking forward to leaving them.

I have been a tenant of McFadden Property Management for 5 years now and have always had my concerns taken care of immediately. I am significantly younger than him and he has always treated me with respect and kindness. He is warm and funny every time I see him or his wife. Whenever I call about something I receive a call back within the day, unless its after hours of course. They are a small respectable business here in Fullerton that I would be happy to recommend to anyone. The great thing is they manage many properties around Fullerton so they are able to help find another place if/​when you are ready to move.

I had a great experience with the McFaddens! A friend and myself shared a 2BD/​2Bath for about a year and a half from 2009 to 2010. We met with Mr. McFadden at the property (their Highland apartments on Wilshire and Highland in Fullerton) and he was very friendly with us. The apartment was a very good size and was in the middle of being painted when we arrived. The rent was very affordable and he offered us a month to month payment plan, no lease (which is what we wanted). Him and his wife are very friendly people and I had a great experience having them as my landlords. I would highly recommend them (and I have)!

Ed McFadden is unprofessional and a «know it all» old man. He believes hes right and you are always wrong no matter what. We have to go thru his higher up to get things done around the properties. i wish the higher up never hired this guy to help him out. (funny thing is, IVE been around this property LONGER then he has) haha a He has you take responsibility for the work THAT SHOULD BE HIS. That is why you became a property manager correct?! if you are younger in age, which most people are compared to him, he will JUDGE you. Hes your typical white old man with his «in my generation… blah blah blah» ways. its so sad really.
