Hired Kevin Levu after seeing how beautiful my sister’s engagement and wedding photos had turned out. It was a pleasure to work with Kevin. He made my fiancé and I feel very comfortable and he was professional. Our engagement photos are AMAZING! We hired Kevin for our engagement photoshoot while we were on vacation. Prior to arriving to California, Kevin was very helpful through email and always answered all our questions. Due to the rainy days, Kevin suggested the Pasadena city hall. What a great suggestion! The pictures turned out beautiful and picture perfect. It was our first time doing a photoshoot and Kevin made us feel so comfortable. After He was Very quick on getting the amazing high resolution shots to us! Thank you again for capturing these beautiful memories ! He is truly a pleasure to work with!

I talked to many different photographers in SF bay area but didn’t quite find what i was looking for — we either didn’t click, packages were more $ than we liked, their style didn’t match ours. It wasn’t until i ran into an old friend who reminded me of her friend Kevin. He has photographed mutual friends weddings and i loved their photos.
We got in contact and the rest is history. We had him join us in San Francisco for our engagement shoot, making him trek everywhere with us. We had an ambitious plan of hitting 3 – 4 different locations around the city. Despite the traffic and normal SF weather, he was able to capture shots we loved. They told our story and came out just as we hoped.
A year later we had Kevin and Jonathan come back up northern cali for our wedding in Sonoma. Working through the logistics with them was easy because they so organized and are very reassuring. On the actual day, they were ready to go. They knew what to do and i felt like they were just as excited to shoot as we were. In fact, Kevin was always ready to take more shots in all the great spots at our venue but we couldn’t keep up with him — we tired out!
I was an anxious bride at times and needed a lot of communication. Kevin was one of my favorite vendors to work with. He and his team are:

Kevin is a super talented wedding photographer. We hired him for our engagement and wedding photos after reading Unilocal reviews and he did not disappoint! He was awesome to work with and very attentive to us throughout the whole process. His team showed up early and they captured many beautiful shots. Sadly it rained on our wedding but he kept checking the weather and managed to squeeze in some photos outside when the rain let up a bit. Without those outside shots I would have seriously not recovered from my disappointment because we spent so much on this particular location. He has a great eye and caught some unique locations that we wouldn’t even think of which made for some magical photos. One thing that was odd was that the second photographer shot some groomsmen photos without the groom in the middle. Maybe they were trying something unique and different but it didn’t really make sense. Though that was his assistant, I would recommend mentioning (if you care) that you want the groom/​bride to be the focal point of the posed photos. Overall, Kevin was fantastic and you will definitely be happy with his services. We also hired his photobooth company which is great as well, so be sure to check that out too!

My fiancé and I used Kevin and his crew for our professional photo shoot. that ended up being a surprise engagement shoot! It was a great experience with them, super easy going and fun to work with. My fiancé didn’t know the OC area too well, but Kevin suggested Laguna Beach where he knew of a fantastic photo shoot area on the rocks! It was scary to get to the edge of the bluffs, but the pictures made it worth it! I suggest do what I did and bring a pair of sandals to walk on uneven terrain and then change into your photo ready shoes! There were a total of two photographers, Kevin and John. There captured different angles. What my fiancé liked the most about them was that they offered the most number of photo shots to give us for the price that was quoted. They weren’t necessarily the cheapest, but you def get what you pay for and then some! I do wish we had more different poses and backgrouds, but it was only an hour session with a beautiful beach sunset! He even allowed us to take a couple of shoots that we wanted! Kevin was super nice and responsive that he even sent us a preview pic so that we could immediately share with our family and friends the good news of our engagement! He sent us all the pictures very soon after. Super hard workers here! Hoping to use them again for the wedding! THANK YOU! :)

Kevin did 2 family sessions for us and we received so many compliments every time. Our pictures always look so natural, just the way we wanted. He’s friendly and easy to work with. He’s very patience with my toddler and that’s not an easy task. He manage to make us awkward, average looking people look like professional models. Kevin is not just some guy with a fancy camera and claimed to be a professional photographer, he is an artist with talents and passions to back up his works.

Kevin and his team were hired by magazine to shoot my business. I really didn’t know what to expect from just the phone calls and email. But I must say they are very professional. Their appearance was well put together. Professional attitudes, amazing pictures, I highly recommend them.

Kevin and his assistant photographers were a pleasure to work with. Everyone was extremely professional and captured every moment of our wedding better than we could have imagined. Looking through our final pictures brought our special day back to life. Kevin’s communication before, during, and after the wedding was extremely good leaving us with no worries that he would capture every detail we wanted. Thanks again Kevin! Kevin was a pleasure to work with and we love our engagement and wedding photos. We got married in Southern California, but live in the Bay Area so we had Kevin come up north for our engagement photos. He was very easy to work with and did a great job planning our engagement photo day and getting the gorgeous photos back to us quickly.
On our wedding day, Kevin was very prompt and flexible with little changes we had to make on the day of. We had a backyard wedding and did many of our photos in the neighborhood nearby. He did an incredible job making the surrounding area look beautiful in photos and got lots of gorgeous candids. Kevin gave us the 1,300+ photos quickly and we are so happy with them.
We met with several photographers before choosing one, and we decided on Kevin because he was a better value and provided more services (engagement session, second photographer, & album included in our package). Lower cost definitely didn’t mean lower quality in this case — everything was top notch! We highly recommend Kevin and his team!

This is probably the most late comment Kevin & Megan has ever encountered and we’re truly sorry! Who knew getting married meant being more busy? lol!
First off, we’d like to raise many glasses to Kevin, Megan, & Jonathan! They’re honestly the perfect combo and we couldn’t be more happy with their selfless efforts. They are flexible, kind, and most importantly they deliver the results that you envision. If you want something, they’ll make it happen without hesitation. This is the kind of team you need for your wedding day. We honestly cannot believe their deliverance on our 16+ hour wedding, like wow!
In addition, the pictures are breathtaking and flawless! Kevin has a vision that will blow your mind and we say this after a year of soaking in his perfection. He definitely specializes in a more photo journalistic style, but if you want amazing portraits, he & Megan can make it happen!

I posted my first review of Kevin a year ago and now, a week after our big day, we’re still in awe of Kevin, his team, and of course, their beyond spectacular work product.
They say that the biggest investment any pair should make for their wedding is their photography. It is the physical, visual reconnection with your wedding day-​arguably the most important day of a couple’s life.
We knew from friends, reviews and our own e-​photos that Kevin was the best. And I would never settle for less.
There’s an intricacy in his work. He isn’t just snapping photos. His methodology, even with placement of lighting and catching the best angles – its an art form he’s mastered. Not only that, Jonathan is also learning this same craft. It’s amazing what this team can put together and how much emotion is captured — even with those who aren’t comfortable in front of a camera.
Kevin made sure to get all the shots I requested, and was even nice enough to take pix with my guests’ cellphones upon request. They are fun, accommodating and just work with the rest of your vendors to create a stress free day.
He’s prompt with emails and texts and even apologizes for responding an hour late!!!
I cannot even say enough great things about Kevin and his team. We are so honored to have them become part of our day and are a bit sad we didn’t take any photos with them.
When it coms time for our family to grow, you best believe we’ll be calling Kevin to capture those new memories.

Kevin and team are awesome! He is creative, a good listener, hard working, and just goes above and beyond your expectations. He makes people feel comfortable and natural and always adds his organic style and creativity.
One thing I was nervous about during our photo shoot was being fake. He does a good job at listening to couples and lets them be themselves. But of course he adds his touch and creativity to make everything come out beautifully and natural! This speaks to his versatility and professionalism.
He and his team are also very hardworking. We had a long engagement photo shoot and a full day of wedding and reception (we are Indian :)). For both shoots, Kevin just kept going. We live in San Francisco and he traveled to SF, was there first thing in the morning, and worked until he had to leave for his flight at night. Also for our wedding, he and his team were the first ones there and were there until our last guests. He also photographed our pre-​wedding events during the week. Kevin and his team are amazing.

Kevin is the absolute best! He is very prompt in his email responses, his prices are competitive and he’s just so easy to work with. And he’s amazing with dogs too! We had our 2 baby corgis with us and he was able to capture their attention and snap such beautiful photos of them. I also loved that he didn’t make us feel awkward in front of the camera.

Kevin and his team are so talented. Kevin and John did our engagement and wedding (3.8.15) photos, and they did such a great job. They captured all the great moments, and also made sure to get the typical wedding shots. They also have their own style that made the photos look more unique and beautiful. Kevin and John were also very nice and made Matt and I feel relaxed on our big days. I’m so glad we went with them. They also have a quick turn around, got my engagement photos in two weeks and marriage in 4. Highly recommend.

We had Kevin for our engagement photo session in L.A. and also for our wedding day at the Olowalu Plantation House in Hawaii. We went through a lot of portfolios of other photographers (mainly based in Maui) and were not satisfied with their styles until we saw Kevin’s photos!
During the whole planning, he was very accomodating, professionnal and prompt in his email responses. Working with Megan and Kevin was really easy. They were able to make us comfortable in front the lens. We are more than satisfied with the final results and couldn’t have asked for more!

I am so happy that we chose Kevin Le Vu as our photographer for our wedding and engagement shoot. I was looking through many photographer websites, but as soon as I came across Kevin’s photos, I just knew that we had to have him take our photos. I wanted Kevin and his team to be our photographer so much that we actually moved our wedding date twice to make sure we could book him! (I don’t think I told you that Kevin! LOL!)
When we first met Kevin, we could tell he was so professional and just an all around nice guy. He answered all of our questions and took the time to get to know who we were as a couple.
For our engagement shoot, it was about 90 degrees and for the second half we had our crazy (not very obedient) dogs with us. But Kevin was so patient and helped us take really amazing photos. He is very good at making you comfortable in front of the camera and helps with posing for the perfect shots :) I was also happy we did the engagement shoot, because it really helps get rid of the nerves of being in front of the camera on your wedding day.
Many people told me that your wedding day goes by in a flash, and it really does! Once your make up and dress are on, it’s like you blink and it’s all over! But looking through my photos that Kevin took, they all take me back to those special moments of our wedding day. Not only are they artistically beautiful, but you can see and feel each person’s emotions through the photos. Which I don’t think many photographers have the gift of doing.
Long story short… LOL! Kevin Le Vu is the best photographer out there! Do yourself a favor and hire him as your photographer.

We selected Kevin as our wedding photographer after emailing him several times and appreciated his prompt and informative responses.
During our engagement session, he managed to capture wonderfully artist shots of us and also had a very friendly personality. While Kevin showed us the pictures after each shot, we were taken away by the scenery a bit too much and didn’t realize some problems with my smile until we reviewed the pictures afterward even though Kevin politely suggested smiling more during the session. I must have been out of it that day. However, the session was very useful in preparing ourselves for how to smile for the pictures on our wedding day. There were still numerous photos that were great for printing and placing on easels for our wedding reception. Kevin was very helpful with instructing us on how to pose for each picture and selecting locations that were more secluded from the crowds.
On Dec 27, 2014, my wife and I met Kevin and Jonathan for our wedding day photos. They worked their magic to capture wonderful shots of us with our bridal party and also genuine moments of our day. We particularly liked the pictures they captured of our dance as the lighting for the gobo had a gold and purple glow. When reviewing the pictures, it was helpful my wife and I to remember each event during the wedding day which went by as a blur due to how busy we were on the actual day. We also loved the candid shots of our guests enjoying the moment. Overall, we were very impressed by their professionalism and highly recommend their services.

We hired Kevin after meeting him at his office and looking through his photo books, which were awesome He also had great reviews. And most importantly, his price was just in our budget. For our engagement shoot, he took us to two different locations in Orange County. Didn’t rush us. Made it real easy and comfortable. Kevin is the quiet type when working. Doesn’t bark out direction if that’s what you’re looking for. At our wedding, he brought along his team (we also used his photo booth services) and we barely noticed them. We look at all our photos now and we’re very happy we chose him/​them. The photos came out beautiful.
If you decide to go with Kevin and his team, know that you’ll get great photos that won’t cost you half your wedding budget. You won’t regret it.

I have to confess, the first thing I did after getting engaged was to look for a wedding photographer. I’m a photography enthusiast so knew I needed more time to look for a photographer than most people. I was ecstatic when I found Kevin, his gorgeous work and unique perspective and style speaks for itself.
Getting a quote and setting up an initial appointment was easy, responses to email was timely and very prompt. After meeting with Kevin and Megan it was really a no brainer to hire them, I was so happy they were available for our date! They have great customizable packages to fit your needs and are professionals that really work with you from that first meeting until even after the wedding. We ended up with a package that included the engagement shoot, wedding day photography and their photo booth service. Update emails were sent to give an estimate when we might expect the photos to be ready. Everything came out beautifully and we received our wedding photos in a lovely package just a few short weeks after the wedding.
Our original bookstore location we were hoping to shoot at for our engagement session turned out to be closed. Kevin was quickly able to make a great suggestion for union station as an alternate. My husband and I are pretty awkward and nerdy, Kevin was really great at putting us at ease and would give gentle suggestions for poses and just let us be ourselves.
Our wedding day came and went before we knew it! Kevin and his crew showed up early and were ready to work. They were like ninjas seeming to be in multiple places at once! I had a few requests to make sure we got photos with all the guests and Kevin and Megan helped us make sure this happened. They helped us make the day unforgettable with lovely picturesque photos of the event to last past when memory has faded.

Kevin Le Vu Photography was our first vendor that we met up with, when we finally decided that LA was our place of choice to do our wedding. I remembered that I was referred by my sister in law, who remembered the quality work they did for one of her friend’s wedding. I must say I was truly impressed when my husband and I met Kevin the first time at his studio. I liked that he tried to get to know us, and explored our interests/​dislikes. Kevin was very professional and we knew that after we left our first meeting, we had a good photographer on hand.
On our engagement shoot, we met again with Kevin and his partner Megan. They both were very pleasant to be around with, as they assist us with our picture taking in the Long Beach area. They made jokes, got us laughing, and even made us less tense when a crowd of people were watching us. LOL! When our engagement pictures arrived a couple weeks later, we were very pleased with the outcome.
Finally on our wedding day, we met with Johnathon and James in addition to Kevin and Megan. With two ceremonies that day and a reception, everyone knew we had a very long day ahead of us. We were truly grateful that everyone from the photography team were prompt, patient, and helpful in making our day memorable. We were yet again impressed by their professional manner, as they all worked hard capturing every moment of our special day.
Also, if I might add, Kevin is very responsive to his emails and offers many suggestions. He is reasonable, and the price you pay for him is worthy. Without a doubt, I would suggest them to anyone who is looking for a professional team who will take the time to give you what you want. Overall a great crew to be around with :)
