I was very disappointed in this location. I Am not from this area but as soon as I walked in, a heavier set guy asked me if I had an appointment. I said no. He instructed me to take a seat. While he was working on a client his 3:30 called to inform him that he was running late, like 3:45. He started talking about him, which I didn’t like. While this was going on a second guy came in, he was coming in from lunch. Once the heavier set guy finished with his client he told me he was going on lunch. I was not happy. He said the other guy would take care of me. Then the other guy asked what I needed and I said I needed a trim. He said, that was considered a hair cut. I really didn’t care what it was called, I needed my hair taken cared of but instead I walked out. They could of told me from the minute I walked in how long I would have to wait. Very disappointed, this place had a lot of good reviews but I didn’t think it was that great. The guys there are lazy and don’t really seam like they care about taking care of the clients if they don’t have an appointment.

I agree with Andrews review. Unprofessional. I entered a raffle supporting autism through the grocery store Sprouts and won a haircut certificate for here.
Was excited to try somewhere new to hopefully call home. I mentioned the gift certificate multiple times. After having my hair cut, the owner Jessie wouldn’t accept the gift cert. mentioning that anyone could make a fake one at home (although when he issues them he has people make it themselves then text a picture of completion).
Before i paid he assured me he would refund or give another haircut if sprouts called to remind him. When the sprouts employee called the next day, Jessie avoided her phone calls mentioning «he was driving». Then texted mentioning he would NOT redeem anything unless the employee showed up to his workplace on his time (who has time for that).
The guy just straight up forgot what he did, then tried to make me uncomfortable for trying to use certificate.
In the end sprouts gave me a couple other gift certificates for other barbers in the area for my trouble, which i didn’t expect.
Both barbers had their teen kids sitting bored in the shop. As far as the cut, it was decent. Just don’t go expecting good customer service.

…I was coming home late from work and needed a decent trim. Found this place using google maps and decided to try them out. Upon entering, I was greeted by owner (I assume)…very courteous and polite… despite the very loud rap music. I waited less than 10mins. Barber walks in and takes me to his station. I told him and described to him the cut I wanted… and amazingly, HE GOT IT ON P0INT!!!
I couldn’t ask for more. Very clean, even and meticulous cut. He cleaned the sides and back using a straight edge blade (with warm shaving lather) with a very precise shaving motion lol. He would stop and show me (as I put on my glasses) his progress during the haircut process. After he finished he put on an old school massage device and gave me a sweet shoulder massage which I needed lol. Definitely left him a good tip… price for haircut wasn’t bad at all and the best part: THEY DIDNT HELP THEMSELVES TO THEIR OWN TIP LIKE AMBTN IN FULLERTON… freakin’ dirt bag hipster shAt kickers!!! I highly recommend Choppin’ Mops

My first visit to Choppin Mops was a pleasant one however, I don’t typically write a review for any business until my 2^nd or 3^rd visit as this gives me a true gage of the service. To my surprise the level of service provided by Jessy and his crew is second to none. Here we have an old school barber shop that provides a hair cut and shave in a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. You are always provided a cold beverage while you wait or better yet enjoy a game of pool or darts. I feel what sets Jessy and his crew apart from the competition is that they are always asking questions as to how you want your hair cut and constantly looking for ways to improve your experience. Hair cut is $ 25 but on Tuesdays it’s $ 15 either way it’s worth every penny. This is a five star barber shop and highly recommend their services.

I don’t ever leave reviews but they really are shady and unprofessional as hell. Cash only. They pretty much extorted me. I paid $ 15 for the college discount. Then one day I go in and give him $ 15 plus tip. Owner Jessie says that it was a «special» they ran on Tue, wed, and sun. It was a Thursday and charged me $ 25. That was a load of bull because I went on a Thursday a month before and he only charged me $ 15.
But even if it was a special, tell me before I get my haircut. Owner Jessie knew me and knew what I paid before. He just chose to tell me after the cut.
Their unprofessionalism was displayed when they play darts or pool and make me wait for my cut while they finish their game.
Your first couple visits might be chill but it won’t last. They’ll extort you like they did me. I wouldn’t recommend this shop to anybody.

Great cut again! Tyler got me hooked up and looking good! Very precious and a perfectionist with my hair. Couldn’t ask for a better cut. Coming from NYC it is always tough to find a good barber. Now I got one!

Jesse has been cutting my hair for about 5 years now. Since his Classic Barber days until now, quality work. You want a good haircut? You got to pay for it. A $ 7 haircut is going to look like a $ 7 haircut. Jesse has $ 15 specials on Sundays. He will ask you questions and will take his time on your haircut. This is a BARBERSHOP. If you want a salon, go elsewhere. Make an appointment with Jesse and get a quality cut.

This place is so reliable for a clean cut. They workers are very hospitable. They have found themselves a new regular. All of the chairs are skilled at what they do and pay close attention what I want. They take their work seriously and make sure every cut is to a high standard. The satisfaction I walk out the door with is well worth the price.

I wanted to try somewhere close to my home so we stopped by (for my son, not me) today and I have to say they did an excellent job! I unfortunately did not get the barber’s name, but the two that were there definitely seem to know what they are doing. My son’s barber took his time and knew exactly what my son wanted which is refreshing since there are some places that don’t. Only semi-​negative thing is that they don’t take credit card, but there is an ATM within walking distance if need be

Luis is the man. Look no further for a quality haircut at a more than reasonable price!

These are barbers that know what they are doing. Hands down the best barber shop I have been to. The environment is so chill and the cuts are so clean it’s highly unlikely that you won’t want to come back. Keep up the good work guys!

First time getting a haircut here. Barbers were friendly and professional. Paid $ 25 with appointment. Barber was waiting for me at entrance. I received a VIP treatment. They offered me a cold beverage. My overall experience was great. Friendly guys. Luis was my barber. He cut my hair exactly how I wanted. You get what you pay for.

Cut was overall great! Owner on the other hand is really rude. The man has staring problems and likes to put his coworkers down. The two other guys are great !

That’s why they have 5 stars great customer service they know what they are doing. Got my hair cut by Luis and I’m very happy with his work. I will be coming here from now on. Just a tip Sundays are 10 dollars off :) call or text ahead for an appointment.

Best barbershop in OC hands down! The owner Jesse has been my barber for 10 years now! He is the man!!! Very chill n fun environment… Free beer also if u like to enjoy a nice cold beer while getting a fresh cut… I recommend this too everyone n anyone… These barbers get down! Epically Jesse…

This place is heaven sent! I looked around for quite sometime looking for a barber for my two year old son. Sadly not many places have the patience to deal with little ones. Luis did an AMAZING job cutting my sons hair he was extremely patient and calm while my son was in his chair. He understood and gave him time to settle and get comfortable with the sound of the clippers. He didn’t force or hold his head rough like Other places I’ve taken him. He went above and beyond to make sure his experience was a good one! My sons cut looks very neat and well done even though my son moved quite a bit. I will be most definitely coming back here and recommending this place!!! You will not regret coming here!

The only place I would trust to cut my husband’s and sons hair. Luis is quick, detailed and doesn’t blink an eye when my son is screaming. He calmed him down and was able to finish up a great cut. Wouldn’t take him anywhere else.
Chill place, great people and quality work. What more could you ask for. Would and will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know.

Best barbershop in downtown Fullerton they take their time and do very detailed work. I get my haircut by Luis. He takes appointments and walk ins as well.
Oh and can’t go wrong with a complimentary beer.
