We needed to finish putting in the last few windows from a project we started a few years earlier with another company; a total of 5 windows and one sliding door. We received 4 quotes and decided to go with Cal-​Star based upon their nice reviews and best price. Dirk was great to work with. He is a true professional who cares about his customers. We had a great experience from start to finish.
Jose and Miguel just left after installing 5 new windows and a sliding door. They did an outstanding job!!! They were very conscientious, courteous and took the time to explain what they were doing and also gave me some install options based upon our window configuration. We couldn’t be happier. If you are looking to install windows I would definitely recommend Cal-​Star.

We just had our windows installed today! They came out so perfect, I’m glad we chose them! They are very professional and left no mess at all! I called Robert to get an estimate and he came the next day! He was very professional and did not pressure to buy, he showed us samples and explained in detail about everything! We called a few other places, but their estimates were a little higher. We have 13 windows plus a slider and got a really great deal with cal-​star! The installers got here at 8:30 and were gone by 5pm. They did a really fast job, but also very professional and detailed! I am very happy with our new windows and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for new windows! Amazing work!

We were very fortunate to find Cal-​Star Windows! We cannot believe the level of quality, excellent installation and great pricing from this company. We are extremely pleased and highly impressed. We have an older home and the construction is uneven, but the way that Cal-​Star installed the windows, you can’t even see the imperfections! Danny and Dirk and their crew thought of everything, making sure that our order was exactly what we wanted and that the windows would be exactly how we expected them to be. They were the right color, with the right openings, hardware, and moldings. They took great care to protect our home, answered our questions and were quick to address any of our concerns during the installation. They were friendly and courteous. We couldn’t be happier and it has made a huge difference in our home décor. We highly recommend Cal-​Star — they really work with you and go the extra mile. These days it is rare to find companies that really take pride in their workmanship — but Cal-​Star is definitely one of them!

We were looking to replace all the sliding doors in our 1962 ranch home. As a rule, we normally get at least 3 quotes before making a decision on who to move forward with. Cal-​stars was the first to come out and give us a bid on 9 large sliding doors and 2 fixed windows. Dirk was very knowledgeable, patient and walked us through all the caveats to look out for. After getting quotes from two other firms, we decided to go with Dirk and Cal-​stars for our install. Dirk came back for final measurements with Danny and added our install to his calendar.
On the day of install the guys did a great job. They were clean, knowledgable and swift. They respected our home and took great care to cover everything up. We are very happy with Car-​Star and would recommend them for people looking for great service and stand up people to do business with.

I had several window companies to give me quotes for installing the new windows in my house; however, this company is the most competitive comes to the price, and the owner is very nice, professional and has lots of patience to answer my questions about their windows ! I feel much more comfortable with them compare with other window companies ! I’m so glad I picked this company bc I am very satisfied with the result. I got lots of compliments by the neighbors after they finished the work! When I told my neighbor how much I paid for those windows, they were all surprised ! I had Cal-​Star install 10 windows and one slider. The pricing was very reasonable and Dirk was very knowledgeable about the different options for windows and didn’t try to sell the most expensive window. Danny and his crew were right on time the day of installation and did a excellent job installing all the windows and cleaning up all debris after everything was done. I would definitely recommend cal star windows to all my friends!

Fantastic place to get windows from. Dirk was super cool, very friendly, and didn’t give you some massive sales pitch trying to sell you everything under the sun. Came by the house, showed me the different products, measured the windows, and explained why windows should open certain ways in certain rooms, etc.
Installation was easy, 4 hours for 6 windows and slider. Great install, good clean up. I forget the installers names, but the main guy you deal with is super cool, very personable.
The windows themselves are absolutely great. Noticed a HUGE difference from my 30 year old original windows. Windows look great from the inside and out. Would recommend to everyone I know.

I decided to have Cal-​Star install my windows based on their Unilocal reviews and then my personal interactions with Dirk. These guys are wonderful! Their prices are amazing, they’re reliable and responsive, they treated me with respect, and — most important — their work is excellent! I had five windows installed today — two in my office and three in my bedroom. They arrived at 9:15am and were completely done by 1:15pm!
The windows look BEAUTIFUL and it’s amazing how quiet my apartment is with the windows closed. As an added bonus, when they were done installing the windows, they volunteered to put the blinds back up — saving me the hassle of doing it myself. They didn’t leave one speck of dust or dirt behind and they could not have been more pleasant to work with! I will definitely be calling them again to install the sliding doors in my living room. And I will happily let friends and associates know about this company. Thank you, Dirk and Danny, for a fantastic experience all around!

You seriously won’t find a better priced company. We had 4 quotes and not only were they the cheapest but they were also available to do the job in a very timely manner. We were installing windows in a rental and we were in a rush to get the place rented. So of course I wasn’t looking to wait weeks for windows to be made and installed. Dirk told me 10 business days and he was dead on. We had the windows installed and they look great. Our neighbors are thinking of doing their windows too now. If you have gotten a quote for windows don’t order them until you give Cal-​Star a chance to come out. They will shock you with their prices.

Our experience with Cal Star Windows ha been exceptional. The prices are great. Dirk, from sales, cleared up any questions that we had at the time of the sales presentation, this was a no pressure sale. Danny and the installation crew were wonderful. They removed and installed nine windows and one double set of sliding glass doors all in one afternoon. We are pet owners, after my husband and I had to leave for work, the guys took care of our dogs for us, My husband loves them so much, the first night, we opened the curtains on the entire sliding window so he could see them at night.
We found the company to be very honest, professional, hardworking and reliable. The exceeded our expectations.
We would recommend this company to everyone. 10+

Here is my review of Cal-​Start Windows:
I met with Dirk one of the owners at my residence in Fullerton. He measured all of the windows (9) and Slider I needed (1) and was able to quickly give me a no-​nonsense quote on the spot. His quote was substantially cheaper than the other 4 – 5 vendors I had stop by.
We decided to go forward on the spot and about 2 weeks later the crew showed up for the install. The install crew didn’t mess around. All 9 windows and extra wide slider were installed in one long day. The other owner Danny was present to lead the install, he really knows his stuff. I was glad to see the actual owners onsite, and not just a bunch of home-​depot helpers running the show. Dirk also stopped by on install day also to make sure everything was going as expected.
I am very happy with the entire experience.
Also note: Dirk is fantastic on follow up. We had a screen that didn’t fit right which was a manufacturing defect not a cal-​star issue. Dirk has ensured the window manufacturer made everything right.
We couldn’t be happier with the end result, the windows are top quality and have helped with remove road noise, and reduce our AC bill.
