I had an order to go with 3 meals. They didn’t give us the toppings for my chili cheese burger. The chili was extremely bland. The French fries were under cooked. Overall bad experience, I don’t know that I’ll ever go back.

I have been eating at Starvin Arvin’s for over 40 years in Grand Junction and now I found the one in Fruita. I have never been disappointed with my meals, homemade bread for the french toast, homemade biscuits and gravy, homemade jams and pies. Don’t think there is anything that is not homemade. The help is very friendly and very helpful.

Absolutely love this place. The service is great and the food is outstanding. We like Splenda for our coffee. When they realized they had run out they went to the store and got some for us! Wow what service! We have been coming here for several months and have yet to have a bad experience.

Food was okay, about a notch above Denny’s for about 3 times the price. The cheese burger had barely melted shredded cheese and the 1 ¾ inch diameter tomato and even smaller onion was a joke. The service was nice but the food took about 20 minutes and they weren’t busy. Not sure what the big deal about the biscuits and gravy is, they were fine, but nothing to write home about. All in all, okay food but a bad value.

Ann the waitress was awesome. We had a very large party when we came in and she was on us like johnny on the spot. At first I was a little skeptical because she looked like she had a rough day and was super tired but then she pulled out all the stops and took our order(9 of us) drinks and meal order without writing it down or repeating. We were very impressed that she remembered everything and got it to us on time. The food was ok, wasn’t AMAZING but it got us by for the night and it was something warm in our tummies.

This place is really something. If you are not used to down home cookin’ you are in for a shock. Biscuit and egg breakfast is very substantial. Eggs and shredded potatoes were fine, but the biscuits were not of this world, not my world anyway. A plateful of big spongy biscuits that come smothered in a roux-like«gravy» — don’t tell your doctor if you had some of this! Mediocre coffee that costs $ 2.19 — but if you leave a mug on the wall there it is .99. Surely there is something better in the area.

I don’t know what happened to the Arvins I use to know but somethings gone bad. The food tastes much cheaper and the last 3 times I ate there with family we all felt aweful after. New management or owners have destroyed what use to be good about the place

Friendly service. Excellent food! Only issue was a pesky fly, noisy(bec they were super busy), they took our order fast but took a while for the food to come out. Totally worth the wait!

Nothing fancy, but the food is fresh, hot, and the server did her job well. My wife had the burger special and I opted for the French toast. Warning — the slices of bread used for the French toast are HUGE, only get the four wedge order if you are really hungry.

Stopped in here on our way from Lake Powell, and I was very glad. I ordered the fish sandwich, it came out crispy and hot on a toasted bun. Seeing as we’re in a truck stop I was very pleasantly surprised. My husband ordered a burger, and get this, freshly ground beef. The fries were probably(definitely) frozen, but they came out hot and crunchy, so good enough for me. Server was very friendly and quick. And for all 3 of us to eat for $ 20… I’d stop again

This was our accidental discovery today. Wonderful breakfast and get this… they make their own biscuits, green chile salsa, and strawbery preserves. Amazing good all. So of course we will return next time passing thru the area. Was real quik getting our food items. We very impressed.

Ordered a Denver omelette that came with fruit and coffee. Omelette overcooked. Felt it was overpriced when the total was nearly 12 dollars. Service fair… waitresses could be a little friendlier.

Located in a truckstop your never quite sure what you might find … The breakfast was solid and the chicken fried steak was very good. Worth a stop for a decent bite to keep you going.

This is my gas stop on every trip back and forth from Denver to Vegas. It’s has a subway and a small restaurant. Although I never have tried the restaurant, because we travel at night. It also has big bathrooms and showers. My only complaint is that it’s always freezing in there, seriously we’re talking parka type cold. Other than that it’s a cool gas station in Fruita, Co just west of Grand Junction.

Stopped by here on our way back from Utah. This place is conveniently located inside the gas station right by the I-70 freeway on/off ramp in Fruita, CO. It’s a restaurant inside the gas station, which was kinda rare for me. The BF and I shared a Club Sandwich with Onion Rings and a cup of soup. The soup of the day was Beef Vegetables which was delicious! On top of that, the soup was around $ 3 but you get UNLIMITEDREFILLS! Who gives unlimited refills on soups these days? Not only was it tasty, you get however much of it you want for the same price! I really like their club sandwich because not many places include bacon, turkey AND ham anymore. usually I get either ham and bacon or turkey and bacon at local eateries. That was a plus. The Onion Rings were fried to perfection, not soft or soggy but hot and crispy. The girl who works there was super friendly and the food came fast! I would definitely stop by again for some unlimited soup next time I drive by! PS — They serve breakfast all day and they are known for their biscuit and gravy!
