The food was about 4 stars, but I gave it 5 stars because the service was amazing. We ordered chicken and pork, and started off with some onion rings. Anna, our waitress, went above and beyond making sure we were cared for. Even brought us extra onion rings upon finding out how much my husband loved them. She kept the table cleared and our glasses full. We never felt rushed at any point or like we were a burden. The food was great, the smoked chicken tastes like it was fresh off the smoker. The pork and beef had beautiful pink lines and a nice crust. The fries and onion rings were perfect, and the salad was above par with homemade croutons. Truckers and travelers can park in the rest area next door and walk over. The smell is why we came and we don’t regret it! Now to waddle out of here…

Driving through on the way back to Boulder, my mom and I stopped here to eat(mostly cause it was the last place open. It’s a cool bar/restaurant with goofy stuff on the walls and TVs. We got the fried green beans and the«buffalo shrimp» appetizers. The fried green beans were good, we wished we had ordered two of those instead of the buffalo shrimp which was popcorn shrimp with a side of buffalo sauce, talk about hardly trying! For dinner I got the rib chicken combo with potato salad an beans as sides and my mom got some salad. When the food came out it looked great and they give you more chicken than I was expecting. However, the ribs were not good enough to call themselves rib city. The chicken was good but my favorite part of my meal was the sides and the fried green beans. Cheers, hope this was helpful. –will

We’ve visited many times and also used their carry out service. Their BBQ is fairly good(for Grand Junction) and isn’t overly salty. I like their molasses beans, dark, rich, and smokey. They offer three kinds of sauce to suit any taste. The only problem we had was a carry out order that was supposed to include ½ pound of pulled pork. When we opened it at home the package seemed light and sure enough, when I weighed it on a scale it was only six ounces — including the box. We contacted the restaurant by email the next day and got no response at all. Sure missing $ 2 worth of meat is not the end of the world, but the lack of response says something about the management.
