The Dog Spa

I live in North Denton and have not been able to find a local groomer that I trust with my fur baby. I took him to the big box stores, but he always ended up with a botched haircut and came home full of anxiety and doggy PTSD. So heartbreaking!
My husband and I go to church in Frisco, so we tried taking our dog to The Dog Spa while we attended a class one Saturday morning.
He looks precious, his cut is «breed» appropriate (he’s a maltipoo), and he left calm and happy. We found our new groomer!

Have brought my dogs here several but unfortunately today will be the last. I asked for a 10 when I showed up to pick him it was obvious they did a 7 and the groomer said she can’t do a 10 — why didn’t I get a phone call and why is it every other time I’ve brought him here he’s had a 10. So now I have to wait 20 min for them to shave him again.
Got my dog back and he still at a 7. She just cleaned him up a bit. Seriously you don’t I know the difference. OVER IT!

Professional and timely services! Took my rescue dog for a groom a few times and could never find the right groomer I found the Dog Spa. They know what their doing and are good at it!!!

Really friendly staff and the dogs always come back cleaner than you left them. Not sure what else you’d want from a groomer. A little pricey for just a regular bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning, but we are in Frisco. Otherwise they’d get five stars.

Just moved to the area and needed a good place to have my 2 Shih Tzus groomed. They have never been crated and I felt they would be traumatized if I had to drop them off and they would have to wait in a cage until the groomer could get to them. Alex understood my concerns and had them be with her the entire time. They never had to be in a crate. She did a beautiful job bathing and grooming my 2 little babies. I will use this place from here on! Thank you!

This really is a great place to take your dog to be groomed. The groomers are all trained and have many years experience under their belts. The bathers bathe throughly and correctly following a step by step process every time to avoid any missed steps. You’re in good hands when you go there.

I am so glad I decided to take my sweet girl to The Dog Spa to get her hair trimmed. I was nervous because the last place we went to shaved her when she is a golden retriever! I dropped her off in the morning around 10 AM and I picked her up around 2:30 PM. She came out of the room looking precious and excited as ever. She looked very true to her breed. Dory, the groomer, was very sweet and listened to what I wanted. Her paws were trimmed perfectly, her tail was flared out and lovely, and her fur was brushed and trimmed a little bit. They were very sweet at the front desk and on the phone. I will definitely visit after the winter is over!

We needed to find another dog groomer and this place was the most friendly on the phone and answered immediately! Great customer service and the staff seem to enjoy animals and great experience for our Old English Sheepdog! He is not the easiest to groom. We used JD for over a year at Urban Paws in downtown, but he is no longer there. I will now drive from downtown to Frisco for my dog grooming!

I love the dog spa! They took care of my dogs (who by the way was not completely matted due to negligence) and made them look amazing! They have wonderful customer service and an awesome team of professionals. 10 stars!

I took our dog here for his grooming. We had implicit instructions from the manager to drop him at a certain time and pick him up at a certain time. After dropping him off and driving to meet friends for lunch, I got a call about two hours after we left him that he was ready (not the 6 hour window I was told I had). The manager was VERY rude and hung up on me because I would be able to get there in less than an hour, due to the fact that I was an hour away. I left and went immediately to get my dog and called her back within five minutes of her hanging up on me, and she said too bad she was locking him in the spa for the rest of the day!!! She had a change of heart about ten minutes later, and I was able to get my dog. The cut and bath was fine, however, the manger/​owner is SO RUDE that we will never be back. Also I was charged more than the price she quoted me. After talking with three other people with negative experiences, we will not be back. consider yourself warned. These people are VERY difficult to deal with. Her rude comments about «people from Frisco» make me think she will not last long here.

We LOVE the Dog Spa! The owner/​groomers are so friendly and kind! They treat our dog like he’s their own :) The grooming is quick, simple and neat. We won’t go anywhere else!

Made an appointment for my 2 dogs to be groomed. When I dropped off the dogs advised the person at the front desk the dogs were being dropped off to be groomed. When I asked about approximate time for pick up was told 9 dogs were ahead of my dogs. Received call advising dogs were ready in the AM. When I picked up the dogs found out they only gave the dogs a bath and charged $ 70.00. I proceeded to tell the person that was at the front desk and the owner the dogs were scheduled for a grooming. I was told they must have made a mistake. They only had them down for a bath. They told me to bring the dogs back in another week and they would groom them at that time at no additional charge. I found it hard to believe they agree they made a mistake in not having the dogs down for grooming and told me it would be another week before they would do the grooming that should have been done that day. I already waited over a week for this appointment could not believe they wanted me to wait yet another week for their mistake. I think they only did the bath since they had too many appointments for the day. I feel this way since when I made the appointment the person I spoke to verified the dogs schduled to be groomed. I will not return for the dogs to be groomed since I no longer feel I can trust the employees or owner to do the right thing. Best part I have been going to this groomer for several months and have never had the dogs in for just a bath always for a full grooming and it was obvious they needed to be groomed on this visit.

They do a great job. Price is a but high for my Pekingese trim but I like the product so I’m willing to pay a bit more. Check them out. You’ll love it!

I’ve brought my Shih Tzu here three times now. The first time, I loved the way she looked after her cut. It was the owner who cut her. She looked great. Second time in, it was a different groomer. My dog did not look nearly as good as the last grooming. She was choppy all over, her feet left long, her tail untrimmed, her forehead so poofy that I came home and trimmed it myself. It was pretty much a waste of $ 60. After speaking to the owner, I was informed that the person who had groomed my dog had been let go, and asked to please give her another try. So I did, today. When I dropped my dog off, I gave one explicit instruction: do NOT cut the facial hair above the nose, between her eyes, etc. She even had rubberbands in her hair so it was pretty obvious that I was growing her face out. Well, of course, it was all buzzed off. Ugh. The owner apologized and assured me that she made notes in her computer for the future, so it won’t happen next time. I think maybe this place is getting too busy and they can’t keep up. I’ll try one more time next time my dog is due and post an update. :fingers crossed:

I have been looking for a new groomer for my dog. I finally found this place. When I took my dog in to get groomed, the woman working behind the counter was very unfriendly. She did not ask me any grooming preferences but informed me they would «just shave my dog because she was such a mess». She also was quick to let me know that at 8:30 when I dropped off my dog they already had FIFTEEN dogs in the back waiting to be groomed. So, sixteen dogs, one groomer… Really? I don’t like this ratio at all. I could look beyond these issues, but when I picked up my dog, her snout was bleeding due to two cuts from the groomer. I will not go back.

After trying other groomers, with disastrous results, I have finally found the right place to take my 4 bichons. They do good work and are reasonably priced. The dogs have been cut, not butchered, and they looked great.

They just do really good work and have very reasonable prices. I bring 2 of my dogs there for the hair cut package and I’ve been thoroughly impressed each time. The staff is very friendly and they don’t continuously charge you for every little detail. This will be the only place I take my dogs for their grooming needs.
