MY REVIEW HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE IN STORE LOCATIONS!
I had signed up for Comcast Wifi/​Internet back in the end of February, til this day I have been told «my application is approved» «your application is still pending» «call back in 3−5days» «your equipment should be there in 5days» «it’s still pending sorry» «your equipment is out for delivery» I have been up and down with them for almost 3 and a half months already JUST TO GET MY APPLICATION APPROVED AND GET MY EQUIPMENT! And the only reason why I have been doing this for so long is because after a month it seemed pointless to put all the time I have put in just to «cancel», plus I’m always busy so I don’t see the days passing. Today, I call Comcast customer service AGAIN (after someone told me my equipment should be here in 3−5business days and to call back after 3−5days) so I call and he tells me the same bullshit I heard before my equipment was supposedly «sent out» «my application is still pending» I went off on him. I canceled my service .I’ve got nothing but the round about with this company. I can’t not stand them, if I could give no stars I would ! They are the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with! I do not refer them to anyone, I went with them for the prices obviously but I’ll pay the extra to get better customer service then that bullshit!

The X1 platform is the worst. Don’t get sucked in with it being less expensive or the avenue they use to lower your bill.
The service sucks it is Lousy on any of the remote boxes you will be so upset you changed. Do not believe the «employees» they are almost as bad as the service…
They have been to my place at least 7 times, on the phone with them more than 20 times… They are very professional at making you think they will escalate the problem and have someone come and fix it… That last for a few times then it turns into just flat out lies!!!
These are my beliefs based on my service interaction with this company that u have had.
I will be moving to a new house in a few months and would rather not have TV than have this company continue to rip you off.
Hey Comcast a 20.00 credit for my problems doesn’t mean anything when I pay you almost $ 300.00 a month for crap I can’t use.
If I didn’t need the Internet to work from home I would have been very glad to DUMP this company sooner.
Need more competition to help insure customer service follows through.

Re-​posting my original review, since the original store was «Closed». What exactly does that mean? xFinity/​ComCast is still in business.
I used to live in Fresno and was a Comcast internet customer for two years. Perfect credit, never late with a payment. I recently moved back into the area for 3 – 6 months, so AT&T was not an option for internet service (minimum 1 year contract).
Tried to access my old online account. No access. Tried to set up a new account online. Website would not allow me to start service at my new address — I had to call the customer service number. Called the customer service number and the phone representative couldn’t access my old account. He requested permission to run a credit check and did so. He then told me that the address for which I was requesting service was «locked». I had to take my new lease to a retail store to open an account. I pressed the representative to get a further explanation. I was reluctantly told that either the previous tenant never closed the account or there was a past due amount.
Went to the retail store on East Kings Canyon. Absolutely packed — ridiculous wait (see separate review). Came to the Via La Plata store and spoke with Chris, who scanned an original copy of my new lease. I was told that the manager was the only person who could «unlock» the address and he wouldn’t be back in the store until later in the afternoon. They would get in touch with me.
I received a call from Chris at 5:15PM. The manager wouldn’t «unlock» the address because the Comcast scanner had not made a clear copy. I was asked to come down to the store again with my lease. I replied that I could leave in 30 minutes and inquired how late the store was open. I was informed that the store was open until 7:00PM and Chris confirmed that he would be there until store closing. I arrived at the store at 6:10PM and waited 25 minutes for Chris. The store manager had left at 6:00PM. Chris asked why it took so long to come in. I left a clear photocopy of the lease with Chris and he scanned the MAC number on my cable modem, so I wouldn’t need to come back. Chris committed to calling me the next morning to complete the sign-​up process.
At 2:30PM the next day, I called Comcast and spoke with Heather. She confirms that there is no longer a «lock» on my address. The system shows no further progress on opening my account. Heather offers to start the process from scratch. I struggle to remain civil, but work through the start-​up process. Since I’m self-​installing, I insist that Comcast waive any installation charges to make up for all the trouble. She gives me my account number and a tech support number in case I run into problems.
30 minutes later, my cable modem is communicating, but Comcast’s online access system doesn’t recognize my new account number. 15 minutes on the phone with tech support in the Philippines to get the system to communicate. I feel sorry for the tech support gal — she’s only working within the constraints of Comcast — but I’m really pissed at this point. No explanation why the system didn’t work or what she did to make it work, but at least I’m online.
In the past, I’ve had Cox Communication, Bright House Networks, Time-​Warner and Charter Communications. I’ve had minor issues with Time-​Warner and Bright House, but nothing like this. From beginning to end, absolutely zero effort at customer service.
Update 12/​23/​2015: I was given a written quote for Streampix (xfinity’s video streaming service) for an additional five dollars a month over the base price of internet service. I didn’t request the Streampix service — it was offered to me at the Via La Plata store. A week after start-​up, I tried to access Streampix and realized that Comcast never started the service. Called customer service and, after a bit of research, they stated that the offer was based on a 1 year contract (I specifically addressed this at the Via La Plata store) and Comcast won’t honor the quote for Streampix. However, I’m still paying five dollars more than I was quoted for basic internet, but Comcast refuses to honor that price either. Talk about lack of integrity.
I never thought I’d recommend this, but if you’re new to the area, please, please, please go with AT&T U-​verse. AT&T may have their issues, but Comcast is just plain terrible.

do not waste your time or money with comcast in business or residential service. worst customer service in the industry. not to mention the shady bate and switch practices of ripping you off. fuck you comcast and the equipment you road in on. this is a warning to all consumers. if you want a migraine every month then by all means subscribe to there service. there is nothing in the long run you will be happy about.

3 cs reps on a Saturday afternoon. Not great. Super slow service. This place is only bearable if you get in when there happens to be noone Else in. Come during the week if you can

First time I came in Zuli helped me and my roommate who was moving out switch out plan over to a new account in my name. She was very friendly, professional, and helpful. Wonderful service and helped us keep our plan that was no longer available for new accounts.
Second time, today, Stephon helped me make changes to the account and was able to lower our monthly payment significantly! He was also friendly, professional, and helpful. However, I must say that I was very impressed with how quickly he was able to handle everything and gave me exactly what I wanted plus answered all my questions clearly. I love when people don’t waste time and know what they’re doing!

I visited this location to ask for further assistance on my bill. I was told to call a customer service number. I asked why they couldn’t help me and they said it’s best to call our customer service in regards to your billing. My goal coming in was to get face to face service because I’ve called before, been on hold and had dropped calls with getting nothing accoplished multiple times. Xfinity is a joke of a company, but I guess you can be when your competitors suck. Not a good experience with this location.

My experience with this store has been very hit-​or-​miss. A couple times I’ve dealt with professional employees who were able to happily solve my problem quickly and efficiently, while other times I’ve gotten employees who seemed only interested in selling me more services rather than actually listening to what I was asking for. Likewise, at times I’ve gone in and not had to wait at all because there were actually more employees available than customers waiting. Other times I’ve found the store to be understaffed and experiencing absurdly long wait times (with too few places to sit). I never know what type of experience I’m going to have when I go in.
The best thing that can be said about this store is that it allows you to communicate with an Xfinity representative face-​to-​face, which often proves to be the least convoluted way to solve a problem you’re having with your services. However, that is really more of a complaint about Xfinity’s other customer support outlets than it is a compliment of this particular store.
It was a toss-​up between giving this place two stars or three stars, but on my last visit I was given a bunch of inaccurate information that caused some extra problems for me and left a bad taste in my mouth. Consider this a 2.5 star review.

Just got in today to exchange my box. Customers service is not professional, no hello or hi. But it ok. They seem to be focused on taken your money. Cable company now are just spend a lot of money try to get new customers instead keep old customers to stay. As soon I can find new option I’m telling them good bye. Right now all cables company are doing the same.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and had no wait at all. Very friendly, and courteous. However only a few employees were allowed to handle cash. Much better than the old Comcast office, that was by the airport.

Maybe they should spend some of their billions in profit hiring more employees rather than buying the competition.
Like others have stated, 2 employees while 7 stations are empty and 15 customers wait. Even at 10AM, the wait is near an hour.

This office is run like the government would run it. Approximately 20 people waiting while 2 employees slowly wait on the customers. There are 7 of 9 employee terminals not in use.
I only gave 2 stars rather than 1 because there was a friendly gentleman greeting people when I arrived.

Long wait. Need more Customer service people. They are working but overwhelmed with lines of customers.

Helpful folks. Dropped off a box to get replaced. Some how was up sold a security system in place of a land line. Bill went down substantially for the first year and about even for the second year. Didn’t have to wait too long, but we did get there pretty early.

Poorly organized. Only two cashiers out of 9 take cash. Employees were helpful once your name was called. I waited about 30 min to make a cash payment. :/

I wish I could give zero stars. I have been trying to contact this company for an hour and a half to try to find out why my TV has been going blank off and on for the last several weeks while watching the local news. I have spent 5 minutes on several attempts to get a live person before leaving my number to be called back within a few minutes. it has now been over one and one half hours with no response. I am willing to pay more to have a cable service that provides «service». This company is not interested in their customers, only their profits. I am a actively researching my other options and am willing to pay more for a company that responds to their customers.

The customer service from Comcast is horrible. The cable service they provide is good or better than AT&T u-​verse.

I had a great experience here. I did forget the gentlemanly name, but he was great all I did was ask him a question and tell him this is what I wanted and he very promptly handled the situation. I ended up walking out of there an even happy xfinity customer than before. The wait time wasn’t bad because you have an option to let them text you when you’ll be called soon, so my fiancé and I just walked over to Subway for lunch. By the time we were done eating I got the text! Again very great service here.

They don’t like people or talking to them. Then, being forced on to their website, their website blows. When they want $$ they put humans on the phone, but if you need help, you talk to machines or navigate their cruddy site. All links on their site point to «pay your bill»
Very clear what they prioritize.

My father and I have each gone to Comcast to receive assistance with setting up/​changing services, and both times Elisa Ibanez assisted us… and both times she lied to us. In setting up services at my home, she gave me the wrong price and failed to inform me of all of the additional fees and installation costs. Not to mention, she also gave me the wrong information on installation. To add insult to injury, she handed out her card, and yet when you call it and leave a voicemail for her, she doesn’t return the call. She did the same thing to my father and also lied to him about the capabilities of his wifi and the charges that he would receiving.
So thanks so much Elisa on giving us the wrong information and never calling us back. Too bad that the customer service reps on Comcast’s phone service are as awful. They also lie to you about the charges and tell you that you’ll be receiving credits of which you never receive. I’ve called five times throughout the month to receive decent customer service only one time.
Oh, and you have an issue with an unfair charge? Good luck! That arbitration clause that they sneak into your welcome packet, takes away your rights to sue them or litigate any dispute in a court of law. You would be required to arbitrate, which almost always finds the case in favor of big businesses (see the recent CFPB study and the older study by Public Citizen).
Most importantly, their arbitration clause bans class action suits – the cheapest way for consumers to hold big businesses accountable. Moreover, their arbitration clause specifically states that comcast maintains the right to sue you (even though they’ve taken your right away!)
BUT, you can opt out from the arbitration clause within 30 days of signing up for an account. Here is the link to do so:

I have nearly lost faith with Comcast many of times and even had negative experiences with this location. The only thing that is saving me, my internet, and mine and Comcast’s relationship is one individual’s dedication and efforts at this location, Elisa. She is sweet through the darkest of customer service moments when I know although it is out of her control will perform above and beyond most people’s expectations of this company. Comcast phone clerks could really learn something from an employee like her.
**Also I would, could, recommend more seating in the building, even benches along the perimeter. I have been there before when the wait time was dastardly and there were people literally sitting all over the floor. It was not an appealing or promising atmosphere.

Sunday morning is a great time to go. No line. Good service. Very friendly staff. Walked right in and exchanged my equipment.

Walked in signed up and was helped.
Quick service, professional staff and left with a free bag. I believe if you give someone a vat of vinegar instead of a thimble of honey, you get the same service back.

My goodness, the wait time was ridiculous! They weren’t even short staffed and I waited a solid hour before being called.
There is little to no seating so plan to stand around for your wait, however on a positive note their AC does work well.
