Terrible customer service. The ladies behind the counter are rude and down right mean.

I came in only for a small cup of hazelnut coffee. It should have been a 5-​minute stop, but there wasn’t a drip of coffee left. There were five workers standing around and none had checked the coffee. They’re currently making it, and I’ve been here 20 minutes now.

If it wasn’t for the bagels at this place and being that there is no other bagel shop nearby my work, I would never come here. Don’t get me wrong when they are good the service is fine (nothing to rave about) but when they are off they are horrible to where you are wondering how this even is acceptable.
I called in my order well ahead of time this morning. I got in the restaurant and there was only one person in front of me and four workers behind the counter. As I paid I added an extra bagel to my cal in order in which I told the cashier about. I got my name called for my extra bagel and told them I would wait for my to go order. My extra bagel sat on the counter and I waited for the rest of my order.
I proceeded to listen to three of the four employees talk about a dog having parvo or being ill in some manner. I was wondering why they had the opportunity to chat when the customers were not tended to. I am familiar the short, Hispanic lady is as she must be the shift leader and she was one of the three chatting. As I finally ran out of time I got up to ask what was taking so long since I had called in my order and finally someone located it sitting on the counter the whole time. Upon hearing my complaint, the Asian American gentleman thought it was so funny that I waited while you should have seen the scowl I got from the so-​called shift leader! This customer service is HORRIBLE!

This is a great stop-​by spot if you are in a rush and want a nice bagel sandwich. We came here on our way to Yosemite and I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, my friend got the egg bacon bagelwich. Smelled amazing and it was pretty huge.
Service was kind and fast. I do not recommend you get the coffee, unless you are into watery syrup flavored coffee.

Ordered egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel (not on menu so rhey charge for the canadian bacon sandwich minus the meat… seriously… not everyone eats meat. There really should be more options. So… know I wish I ordered a bagel only… The egg is disgusting — rubbery. Seriously lacks all taste of an egg… so I am thinking its a powered egg or a blended mix of God knows what. For the cost ($ 4.10) it’s a total waste of money. So be warned that the bagels are good but stay clear of ANY egg product. Total crap.

The bagels are delicious but the service was awful. I bought a half dozen last week & asked for them to be cut in half. I sensed this was an odd request from the reaction.
But my co-​workers raved about the bagels so I returned today. And bought a bakers dozen plus two day old packs for my freezer. I asked again for the bagels to be cut. Again with the attitude! I felt rushed in my selection of specialty bagels. Hey. I’m willing to pay an extra .40 cents per 13 bagels! Sell me bagels! I took everyone’s name & will be emailing the owner. Don’t let disgruntled employees ruin your business.

Was reluctant to give this place a good review because I don’t want it to become crowded since that is a big plus, considering it’s across the street from State.
The food is really good for a very reasonable price. For a coffee and bagel it’s only $ 3.75.
The reason why Uncle Harry’s didn’t get 5 stars is because they got my order wrong twice. The employees are really nice and lively. If you’re not originally from the valley, you’ll enjoy this place because you don’t get the typical snobby attitudes and fluff that you would get from employees from most places.
Advice: just make sure you get the correct order.

Everything here is nasty, including the service. The other Uncle Harry’s in Fresno is much better than the one by Fresno State. Waste of money coming here.

Been coming to Uncle Harry’s for years. The bagels are the best in Fresno. The assortment of bagels is the best from the plain bagel to the garlic bagel AND my all time favorite. The sun-​dried tomato bagel. Either a bagel with cream cheese or a breakfast sandwich Uncle Harry’s is the place to be in the morning to grab a hot cup of coffee and a Great Bagel AND all for a good price!!!

Bagels are fresh and the selection is very large. The staff are very nice and the place has lots of room for you to sit down and enjoy a bagel and a cup of coffee. It is on par with the rest of the uncle Harry’s in town.

Earlier in the day the better. Bagels are fresh and not as flat… but the best thing near Fresno State bagel-​wise. I mean, it’s either these or the ones over at Starbucks and Uncle Harry’s Bagels beat them hands down. Their coffee selection is great, simple and gives you the jolt you need for the day. I typically get the strawberry bagel with plain cream cheese but for those days where I want to fend off everyone from coming within five feet of me I grab the sun-​dried tomato bagel with garlic spread. Yum. Always loved the décor inside this joint, and it’s just as decent as the one over on First/​Herndon.

I went in to this location today to get two dozen bagels to take home. I ordered the «Dozen Deal» for $ 14.59 and was surprised when I looked at my receipt to find that the cashier charged me an additional $.40 per bagel. When I went back up to ask, the cashier told me that all the bagels I ordered were in the «special» category. Really? Since when are blueberry, pesto, or banana bagels considered special? There were other people in line so I decided not to make anymore of it than I had already. I have been to other Uncle Harry’s before and I have never been charged extra for those flavors. $ 40 for 24 bagels and 4 tiny containers of cream cheese seems unreasonable to me which is why I will not be back to this place.

This place is amazing! If you love cream cheese, you’ll definitely love this place! If you’re not a big fan of it, you’ll still love this place!
They have an array if breakfast options, coffee, tea, and the best part, their huge selection of bagels and cream cheese flavors!!! A bagel and cream cheese is around $ 3 huh is not that bad for its quality and size.
All their bagels taste like they’re toasted perfectly when you bite into the hot crispy outside in contrast with the soft hot doughy inside! Their cream cheeses are thick and rich with flavor. Perfect texture

Fresh bagels! Great sandwich options. We always make a stop here whenever we are driving thru! Have friends in Fresno and always make sure to grab breakfast here when we are in town from San Diego! This shop had a variety of cream cheese, toppings and meat combinations that you would expect from any local bagelshop. and yet Uncle Harry ‘s stands out!
Ham, egg, bacon and cheese on a bagel done right!!! You would think it sounds so simple and yet many many breakfast places cant get the combination right. At other places the egg is fake or the bacon isnt crispy or even sour ham. Uncle Harry’s gets it right everytime! My son gets the cinnamon sugar bagel with butter, polishes it off, then asks for more!
Best bagels in Fresno!

It was so-​so. We all got the Lox Bagel. First of all, it was like a deli meat style Lox. And there was a lot of it in there like a deli sandwich would be. I ended up taking almost half out. I do not like wasting.
We asked for the bagel to be well-​toasted, especially since a previous review said they had the soggy bagel problem. The outside edges of the bagel were blackened as if toasted, but the bagel was barely toasted throughout.
The only reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1 is because they have Martinelli’s apple juice in there which is my fav. But Jamba Juice is right next door… should have tried that out instead.

The wife and I went in because of the reviews and we both had the lox sandwich. We both asked them to double toast the bagels until they had a nice brown top. Neither one of us got our bagels they way we ordered it. They came soft with a super lite toast to it just the way We DID NOT WANT OR ORDER IT! Nothing worse then a soggy bagel sandwich! Their coffee is soso had better at McDs!

This place is so cool. I love it. It’s a nice change of pace from starbucks.
I like the serve yourself coffee booth. I add a splash of hazelnut and mix it with the special or European blend, and it turns out pretty good.
It’s only 4 lights off the freeway (168). I don’t loose much time and get to work right on time.
I took the family here the other saturday. My wife and 3 year old loved it too. :)

I’ve been coming here for YEARS. They have the best Mango Ice Tea and fresh bagels in the entire city. Also their staff works hard and is very friendly. Many reasons to keep coming back! My only complaint would be they don’t have any power outlets for studying. They could easily remedy this with an extension cord and power strip.

One of the best places in Fresno. I have been swinging by Uncle Harry’s for the last 6 years every time I make my way to the Fres-​YES. I love this spot. The bagels are amazing even though they got rid of my favorite cinnamon crunch bagel… why wouldn’t you have a block of sugar to go with your carb donut of heaven. Even without that medical ticking time bomb this place is always solid and I highly suggest locals and visitors to swing by this spot.

Uncle Harry’s opened when I was attending Fresno State and since I moved away, I crave the Pesto Bagels. 13 years later — a friend of mine now has to go to Fresno regularly and now I have a regular delivery of Pesto Bagels… It makes me soooo happy.
Like somone else said, their cream cheese is really good, so I do still have to miss that, regardless of it falling out of the bagel hole… get a napkin.
