Windfall Donuts & Sandwiches

Donuts are fresh and really good. They also sell eggrolls, rice and chicken. The eggrolls are good as well. Sometime for potlucks I will call ahead and order a couple dozen for work. Also they say 24hr but the sign is old they no longer do that.

This shop was so friendly! The donuts are so good! We went in on a Sunday afternoon and got pretty fresh donuts. The clerk who helped us was extremely nice! They have the best donut holes ever! I ate them all before we even got home! Try the chocolate ones! Overall very satisfied with the quality of donuts. They also sell various snacks, ballons, egg roles, and have money orders available. I highly recommend this shop for yummy fresh donuts!

The glazed donuts taste like apple. The eggrolls tasted like they have been fried in oil that has been used to fry fish or shrimp. If you have seafood allergies don’t try it. It’s probably because they’re not clean and cross mix different ingredients/​dough.

Okay guys, yes, there are donuts here. And you can pay your PG&E and your cellphone bill. They even sell mylar helium balloons. But the real treasure here, the thing that makes Windfall a true diamond in the rough, the reason I am willing to brave the obnoxious hoards of ghetto youths from the HS across the street is CHICKEN & STICKY RICE PARADISE. They sell chicken drumsticks and sticky rice wrapped in saran wrap on a styrofoam tray. It used to include a small container of watery, orange sauce/​salsa but you have to ask for that now. And oh, you have to ask for it because it is delicious beyond belief. Spicy, tart, garlicky, amazing. The drumsticks are savory and tender and the sticky rice comes with a spoon but do yourself a favor and eat that shiz with your fingers the way it was meant to be eaten. This is seriously one of my favorite things to eat and certainly my hands-​down greatest hood meal treasure of all time. Rice and drumstick are only $ 2.50. And there’s eggrolls for $.50 each! I find myself driving out of my way to come here. It’s not fancy. It’s not that clean. But sometimes out of a heinous dive joint comes something really special and Windfall chicken & sticky rice with the orange sauce is a prime example of that!

Donuts are ok. Rarely do they have a full case of donuts. It’s ok if you like maple bars or glaze… just don’t expect that they’re gonna have anything out of the ordinary. Also the sign says 24 hours– unfortunately they are not open past 10pm. And by that time they may literally have zero donuts in the case. I have been there at 8 and they had NO DONUTS. At a 24 hour donut place? Now that’s crazy.

I only tried the donut when I came in and I came on a Sat evening. They not only wanted to sell me more than 1 donut for cheap, but the donut I had which I’m guessing was sitting around all day, was pretty damn good. I was really surprised. Typically, donuts sitting around all day are stale at the end of the day but his one wasn’t. Unfortunately I wanted 100 donuts made for the next morning and they told me they couldn’t accommodate this because their cook was gone for the day. Next time.

This place sucks…, not worth going honestly… they are so rude and unprofessional… I paid a bill there like I always do but some how they payed someone else’s bill and when I told them they made a mistake and never payed my bill they did nothing about it!!! And that’s why I will never ever go back they deserve to close down they suck!!!’

Came here the other day to pick up donuts for my work. The inside of this place looked a little dirty, but they did have a nice variety of donuts to choose from. The guy working was pretty cool too and was pretty patient and helpful with me, since I had to choose about 2 ½ dozen of em. I think it was $ 7.75/dozen. I only wished they had the Boston cream donuts, but I guess it wasn’t ready at the time.
Overall, I’ll probably be back since it is pretty near my place and try out their chicken and sticky rice which they also sell.

I’ve since tried the spring rolls and they’re pretty decent @ 50 ea, (they contain pork, carrot, cabbage & i believe Saimin noodles) they come with a standard sweet and sour sauce. (they had flavor, and the pork didn’t have fat on it and the wrapper was crisp) AND The donuts have remained fresh and tasty. (tho in full disclosure I’ve received one greasy maple bar. it was an isolated incident and happened once & 100 rights outweigh a single wrong) keep on, keepin’ on windfall!
