Toy Hauler Liquidators by Epic RV

My wife and I set out two years ago to buy our first 5^th wheel. After visiting Toy Hauler Liquidators DBA Fun Cars, we found our 5^th wheel. It was home on wheels. We rented our fair share of Houseboats and travel trailers. This was our first trailer and first experience buying a recreational vehicle, let alone a 5^th wheel. The sales team walked us through the entire, no stress sale. They made a few here and there recommendation like slide toppers and extended warranty. Although we have had our issues with the trailer, we recently became the most frustrated.
After just under two years of owning the 5^th wheel, we began noticing that the four slides were bunching when the slides were closed. Not sure, what the issue was, we inquired with a more local RV repair center who, actually was a certified installer for the manufacturer of the slides. When I researched more, Toy Hauler was not. The simple diagnosis, was that the Awning Rail was not installed correctly. In fact upside down. This was also confirmed by the actual installation instructions that I downloaded from the manufacturer. I received nothing more then the receipt for the items, we received no other paper work when we took delivery.
After visiting the local service provider, I contact Jeff, (Service Manager) at Toy Haulers. I explained the situation and his response was «we install thousands of slide toppers and it can be installed wrong». I knew I was in trouble with that comment. You would expect to hear something more like. I am sorry to hear that… Could you explain to me why you feel they were installed wrong? Could you send me some pictures? I had to push my comments to him, along with emailing them to him. After a follow-​up, still no feeling of ownership, accountability, or responsibility to the situation. In fact he asked me what I was expecting. I explained to Jeff I expected it to be installed correctly, as of right now I am exposing the RV to possible leaks in the wall. Both Jeff and I ended up discussing the situation with the manufacturer, and yes we all agree that they can be installed in either direction and function, however My follow-​up with the manufacturer, confirm that the risk is stress from the fabricate or «pooling» of rain water places pressure of downward force pulling the top of the awning rail from the RV siding. The risk of this, is developing leaks through the screw holes from the installation. That is the «technical» reason for why they need to be installed per the instruction.
Clearly, with the poor response from Jeff, I knew this was going no where. After our conversation I tried reaching the ownership directly with a response. The sales experience was a positive one, however I am the first to admit we are out of warranty on this situation, but the bottom line is the slide toppers were not installed correctly and when something isn’t done right, you should make it right. To me it is a Business Core Value.
A good service manager would have found a mutually beneficial outcome. He would have identified that the slide toppers were not originally installed correctly worked with the ownership, to find a solution. Just because something can be installed wrong and works, doesn’t mean they are installed right. Unfortunately, extended warranty does not cover poor workmanship of aftermarket installations.
Double check everything these guys install.

After reading the Unilocal reviews I was a little worried about this dealer but because of the price I had to check it out for my self. I saved thousands on the unit I wanted, and let me tell you I visited several dealers. You have to keep in mind all these dealers are one in the same you are not buying a new car it’s completely different. It ‘s like buying a house chances are you not going to use the same realtor. You may need to use another dealer for service if you don’t live close by something else to keep in mind Also dealers don’t know everything about what there selling or the parts for it. If you decide to buy on your walk through make sure you bring a TV and check everything and inquire about extras like a BBQ that might come with the unit or that special hose that you need for the BBQ. The spare tire cover is a must make sure they through that in when making the deal. When we were doing our walk through we had some issues with a sofa cushion and a kitchen table that had bumps on top. The owner assured me he would take care of it by ordering the parts from the factory and securing the contract with a due bill. I was worried about that due bill when driving home with the unit but they did come through.
It took about a month to get the parts but it was all worth it in the end. You can text the owner anytime and he will respond. Mike in parts was very good in texting, e-​mailing me and calling me back. We are very happy with our purchase.

Toy Hauler Liquidators were great to do business with and made the process of buying my new travel trailer easy! There was a mis-​communication on my part and theirs regarding my travel trailer and was given the wrong travel trailer and had it delivered but they were easy to deal with and made the transaction easy and pain free. They even came and took the other travel trailer away and delivered the correct one. David, the driver was super nice and professional and did a great job in handling all aspects of the delivery. Great team of folks at Toy Hauler Liquidators. I would do business with them again and will refer my friends to them. i worked with Alan in sales and Roy in finance and everyone was very helpful and genuinely nice and friendly. We have been shopping around for a Toy Hauler from Turlock down to south Fresno from Gilroy to Clovis and by far these guys are the best. From the all included prices to the service department.
They include everything in the price, no hidden charges like the other place up north tried to do and still beat them on price. They had it ready for us when they sad it would be.
On our maiden voyage everything was perfect, 4 of us were more than comfortable in the trailer, A/​C worked great and we couldn’t be happier. When we closed up everything to head back the garage window popped off track and the tank wouldn’t drain. Monday morning I called them up to tell them about the problem and they were more than happy to help me out, they were extremely busy but they worked me in to fix the drain and the window track. Thank you so much you guys are awesome.
I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a travel trailer.

This business needs customer service lessons as they are VERY unresponsive unless you’re right in front of them with an easy request. We were making our first toy hauler purchase and had specific desires for our purchase. Our salesman, Larry, started off showing us everything just above our specified price range; so disrespectful. Once we became very clear that we were not interested in looking at these toy haulers by simply refusing to enter them, he finally started pointing in the right direction. However, when we found what we wanted and he wrote up the paperwork for me to take to the bank, I found out later that he qouted me $ 1,000 above the correct warranty cost. In fact the finance manager said, «I don’t know where he got that number.» After we left to work with our bank, we called our salesman to discuss financing options. Not once did Larry ever return our call, and the lady answering their phones would even say, «He’s not at his desk. Can you call back.» What? How about taking a message and ensuring your customer gets a return call in a timely manner?! This occured several times before I finally informed her I can not call back nor am I receiving a return call, so she routed me to their finance manager. I discovered their customer service issues are indeed pervasive, as even the finance manager failed to return all my calls except for one, and every time he said he’d call me back, he did not; I always had to call him. We would have clearly walked away from this if it had not been the toy hauler we wanted that we could not find at the other 5 places we visited. The one excuse they gave each time was, «We’re just so busy.» This is the worst excuse you can give a customer; how demeaning to a customer. There are several other substandard service items I could list, but this review is long enough. Take your business elsewhere; Toy Hauler Liquidators doesn’t respect or value their customers!

UPFRONT these guys were pretty average… decent response time, and helpful when buying a trailer. Too bad that is where it ended…
After purchasing a brand new trailer from them they barely return calls or messages, and ignore any normal requests for information on something that I just spent tens of thousands of dollars on.
If you expect to work with your dealer in the future and have a seamless experience; this is not your dealer. If you want to be nothing less than a number to a group of people who’s only concern is sales volume; then you have found the right place

Worst place to purchase anything! They check nothing and make excuses when you take it in for service. Even if it below retail I would have paid more for a better dealership.
I bought my trailer cash. They supposedly did a walk through and skipped the part where the black water tank won’t empty.
I took my trailer back to these idiots in the service department who looked under the trailer and fixes nothing.
There is a crack down the middle of the grey and galley water tanks that they would have obviously seen (It was dripping water, so was the flange.
I have been contacting the manager there for over 2 months and e-​mailed him.
Also when I bought the trailer I drove down to pay for it in cash on the agreed price but once I got there the needed $ 300 for the tires which were bad, and a brake line for another $ 150.
IF YOU WANT A RV, MOTOR HOME, TOY HAULER IGNORE THIS PLACES PRICES AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE OR YOU WILL BE SORRY.

called ted at toy hauler liquidators to price match since their website states «will not be undersold!» well apparently that means unless its too low… in which case, as ted stated «we have to make money, right?» i dont begrudge anyone from making money, but maybe their website should say something like” we will not be undersold! unless its too low! then we will be!” think about it fella’s…

I spoke to I think his name was Mike a I was told the sales managere before driving 250 miles to see a weekend Warrior CR 3905 that they had several used units ready to go. I took a day and drove over to see the units (2) 2007 CR3905,(2) 2007 SLC 3905 and a CL 4005 toy hauler. when I got there I was shown where the units were and the guy left. we looked at 6 different units and they all were a mess. the pic’s shown on RV Trader were nothing like I was about to see. pristine pic’s on RV trader turned to all units canabolized, Missing beds, bed hardware, finiture some chairs missing legs, stereos missing carpet missing, generator parts missing, full of trash a few units smelled like they had rats. When I asked about it i was told they had used parts from these units to fix others, but they could show me their brand new trailers and I could purchase one of thoese… Really is this Bate and switch? I just talked to you on the phone and you said your used units were in great condtition and ready to go just the day before. what happened in two days to these units all 6 of them in just two days??? I think they are very un professional to tell someone the units were ready for sale, let them drive 250 miles one way to see this junk! then try to sell me a new unit. It was a total waste of my time and gas. I can not recommend this RV store for new or used units.

Hands down the best buying experience we ever had. From one horrible experience t another with other RV dealers including Camping World, McMahon RV and Richardson RV it really seamed that no RV dealer could manage to get more then 1 Star on Unilocal,and I now understand why. Then, in an online search my husband and I came across FUN CARS aka TOY HAULER LIQUIDATORS. Called up and had a FAST, no hassle transaction. Our RV was delivered to us exactly as promised and all the paperwork was smooth and easy. They have won our business for life and I recommend everyone to not waste their time anywhere else and call FUN CARS only.

My review is for Toy Hauler Liquidators, a division of Fun Cars. The service department graciously accepted my under-​warranty 5^th wheel trailer after Best RV in Turlock, California refused to honor the warranty that came with the trailer when purchased in January 2013 at Best RV. Dawn, the service department manager, did her best to get our trailer in the schedule quay in a timely fashion. The repairs were completed with little cooperation from the trailer’s manufacturer. Very nice people to do business with…
