Classy Canines

We have been bringing our dogs here off and on for over 10 years. I think there has been a change in ownership/​management. Our dog had a very uneven and choppy haircut. His normal «teddy bear face» was a pointy shaved poodle face! We called to discuss and hopefully have him cut evenly and was told a manager would call us back, which never happened. Then we called a few days later and had to leave a message and again no one called us back. It has now been over a week and we have to conclude that they really don’t care. Your long time customers will not be back.

Just picked up my pooch. She looks great! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They’re a little hard to get on the phone, but it’s because they’re busy and in high demand. I can see why! They rock!

My first experience with Classy Canines was by far 5 out of 5. I showed up on a busy Saturday before Labor Day without an appointment, but they still accommodated our scruffy pooch for the much needed groom. The staff was extremely caring in handling her as they took her back. When it was time to pick her up and to our amazement, our dog looked and smelt like a well groomed dog. Paula really, really had done a great job in gussying up my wife’s most prized pet. I definitely will be back and will refer Classy Canines whenever given the opportunity. Thank you Paula again for going that extra mile and supported a really good local business.

I have been going here for at least 2 years, when they are busy it can be tricky to get them on the phone but I live around the corner so I usually pop in and make an appointment. My Yorkie and Beagle go to together and look fabulous when they are done! I would recommend this groomer over PetSmart ANYDAY!

With my last dog, when she went to the groomer’s she went to PetSmart, and I wasn’t thrilled. With my new dog, much more floo floo, the pet recue place suggested Classy Canines, and that’s where I’ve been taking her for two years… until I read bad reviews on Unilocal.I was always happy with the results from Classy Canines, but the reviews were so bad I decided to switch. The new place I took her to was ok, but it made me re-​evaluate my decision. My only complaint about Classy Canines is that I’d drop my dog off (with an appointment) in the morning and wouldn’t get a call to pick her up until late afternoon. My dog is little, with a little bladder. I don’t know if Classy takes them out for a pee walk or not, but I don’t know that about any place. But, my dog seems happy when I pick her up, she looks nice, smells nice, and my wallet isn’t that much lighter. For now, I recommend them.

I agree with Juan, I don’t get all of the negative reviews. I was referred her by a friend for my cat, and they have always done a great job. She seems pleased too! They can be a little hard to get in touch with, I think she is short staffed and can’t answer the phones when she is working. But when I call early in the am, they usually pick right up.

Not sure all the negative remarks. .I love this place they are local fast and prices rock. They do book fast so call ahead.

I’m going to start by saying that I’m not from around here, but I do come down a lot for work. I bought a Groupon for this place thinking it’ll be a great buy and my Lil pup would enjoy it. Well I’ve tried to get in contact with them and they never answer and the first time they did, they told me I had to make a week in advance appointment. That’s fine if they ever pick up their phone or call customers back. I’ve left a couple of messages and still haven’t heard anything back from them. I’m going to contact Groupon and see if I’m able to get a refund. I’m not sure of the quality or skills of the groomers, but I had to leave this review just for the simple fact that they have poor customer service. It’s a shame because I enjoy going to little local spots like this.

My first impression was that the customer service was not very great. It was my first time taking my dog to their shop and I left the place feeling uneasy. I felt that they could have been more attentive to what I wanted for my dog. Upon pick up, my boyfriend felt the same. They did not explain how my dog did nor seemed appreciative of my business. The work itself was okay. The look could have been classier. I will not try this place again.

Took my dog in @ 9am, was told he’d be ready by 1, got the call at the wrong phone number @ 3pm. This shop doesn’t have a dog run so my dog was locked up in a fairly small cage w/​o a potty break or water. These people rarely answer their phones every call (
5 attempts) goes to recorder. Paula (groomer) does a GREAT job but having my dog treated this way is NOT acceptable. Their customer service is under par AND at this writing, it’s CASH ONLY. No ATM or Credit cards, notice on front door for two months at least.
