We cater to may many families of various traditions and cultures and also serve the men and women in law enforcement and the armed forces. We specialize in the coordination of large dignitary funerals.

History

Established in 1973.

We began in 1914 offering Fresno’s first columbarium. Many Fresno notables are interred at Chapel of the Light. Our columbarium was designed by the infamous architect who designed Hearst Castle, Julia Morgan. Throughout the years, Chapel of the Light has evolved to become one of Fresno’s premier Full Service funeral homes offering everything in one beautiful place

Meet the Manager

Michael R.

Manager

Michael, a lieflong resident of Fresno and graduate of Cypress College School of Mortuary Science, has been serving the families of the Central Valley for over 17 years. He was previously associated with the Buccheim Family Palm Colonial Chapels for 9 years before becoming associated with Chapel of the Light Funeral Home and Cemetery. Michael has been at Chapel of the Light for over 7 years and has been the General Manager for the past 3 years.

Michael is involved within the community serving in many capacities with numerous groups such as, Chairman of the City of Fresno Implementation Committee, Past President and Board of Director for the Central Valley Funeral Directors Association, Vice Grand Master of the LDT Grand Lodge, Board of Director on the St. John’s Cathedral Finance Council, Past Vice President of the Msgr. Laserian Byrne Chapter of the Serra Club, Treasurer of the Filipino Catholic League and many more.
