Little Friends House I & II

This daycare is one of the best that is available. The classrooms are child centered, brightly decorated, and filled with developmentally appropriate toys. The staff is not only knowledgeable, but they are extremely caring, nurturing, and professional. Little Friends House isn’t just a daycare, they provide an early educational experience that fosters and develops your child’s foundations for his /​her elementary school experience. We’re amazed at how much our daughter has learned. They are definitely preparing every child for the high demands of the public school system. Anyone looking for a childcare center should without a doubt consider Little Friends House. Wish they went up the grades!

i had my 3 year old son at Little Friends House until we moved out of the area which I was so sad about leaving them
, first let me say my son had been to a few daycares at a young age, mostly for socializing and I was happy with them. However, I can not express enough on much I loved LFH, my son loved it, I loved it
He was in the 3 – 4 year old class, there was structure everyday, new things were learned each day, besides learning the usual pre k thing (ABCs 123) they learned how to thinK on their own and understanding the causes and effects. , his days were never boring. My son came home each day with something new he learned from his teachers. Each month they would have a subject that they will learn and each day they will do things that’s associated with that subject, through projects, trips, homework. Yes ! Homework is given for the week, each night a sheet would be completed so it wouldn’t overwhelm them at one shot .
At least once a month they go on field trips. My son will definitely be ready when he’s enrolled in pre-​k next year it might be actually boring for him because he has learned so much from LFH
The staff is amazing, you really feel at home. They are organized. There is always, always someone greeting you in the mornings always with a caring smile. The staff at LFH really know the nature of children and really enjoy working and being around them

Little Friends House has been my child’s daycare since September 2012. She began in the toddler class at 20 months. She has been cared for by her teachers in a respectful and loving way. She is now in the Nursery class in which her teacher, Ms. Karen, truly understands the meaning of authenticity in toddler learning. Her class not only does typical ²⁄₃ yr old activities such as letters, numbers, words, and books but authentic arts and crafts in which the children get to imagine, experience, and create. She allows the students to take their time and find true meaning in their work. She is remarkable. Her classroom is decorative, shows appreciation for her students and their hard work, and rules and regulations are followed by the students because they love and respect her… which is a great beginning to school/​education. The special treat that all parents receive at the end of the month is a lengthy and detailed newsletter explaining the work, projects, trips, books, activities, etc. that the children accomplished. Its a dream come true for a parent to get such a detailed look into the lives of their toddler at school.

Finally, Ms. Marcel is a lovely person who works hard and treats all the children at Little Friends House with love. I cannot speak about the teachers in other classrooms as i do not know them. However, the owner seems to mistreat its workers and there is a «fakeness» about the way she speaks to parents that is very transparent. I think its clear she doesnt understand what it’s like to be in a classroom with the children.

we love this daycare, my son is so sad he is leaving it this yr, the faculty is so sweet and caring and the teachers are wonderful, But im glad i have another son that will be attending the school. They are the best in care!!!
