Are 100 stars available? There is no way possible to give Preet enough stars for her spectacular skills. She is the most wonderful dentist in the world.
I met Dr. Sahota several years ago when I moved to the Bay Area. I wanted a prettier smile and a girl I worked with was doing Invisalign treatment. Her teeth had major gaps, but mine were too close together due to wisdom teeth issues. She suggested I visit Preet and see what she could do for me. I needed a new dentist anyway after my hurried exodus following hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, so it seemed like the thing to do.
I scheduled my first visit with the doctor via Deanne, the most awesome assistant ever. She was so personable and made exceptions for me because of my ridiculous schedule at the time (I was finishing my MA, working a full time job, etc.). I had extremely limited availability and she made always seemed to find time for me.
I got fitted for my Invisalign about 1 year later, after we did some dental work, cleanings, etc. I wore the Invisalign for two years and watched my teeth become incredibly straight in no time. The best part was that no one really knew I was having any treatment.
Recently, I lost my sleeping retainer, or broke my retainer, anyway… Preet told me come in and she would solve my dilemma. She was right. They fitted me for a new sleeping retainer so that I never lose my pretty smile, thanks to Dr. Preet Sahota.
Smile really does matter to Dr. Sahota.
Preet’s office is lined with a library that offers a book exchange program for patients – which I always raid because I am a professional reader being a PhD student. I can drop off books with her, take new books, she even suggests certain books that she knows I would like. I think one of my favorite things about her is that she really gets to know her patients, and they become much more than patients to her, they become friends. I have had tea with her and snacks at the office and just talked about life. She always asks me about my studies, which is nice. I love to talk to people outside of my program about my studies. She is such a wonderful person and the best dentist on the planet!

kind, gentle, thorough, honest. Preet is one of a kind. Made me realize how all the other dentists we’ve ever seen were doing unnecessary (and expensive) work.

Doctor Sahota is an amazing dentist. SO many dentists are in the industry now to make money, not to provide accurate health care for patients. Doctor Sahota is honestly a caring dentist who cares about her patients and makes them feel at home. I went in for my appointment and the front staff was very friendly. Once I met Doctor Sahota, she was extremely nice. She looked at my teeth in a holistic approach and checked my overall health. She explained to me why I couldn’t handle spicy foods which was extraordinary because normally dentists say «you need cleaning, fills, crowns, etc» and don’t care about anything else. She is the only dentist to tell me that I don’t need to get my wisdom teeth pulled and I should save them for as long as I can. Her office is clean and the entire experience is like meeting a friend again. I love visiting her!

Love Preet and Irene. They are the best! I hear horror stories of kids and the dentist and thank god that I don’t have to worry about that. My kids actually look forward to their visits! The sweetest people ever. Well worth the 35+ min drive.

When I first met Dr Sahota, she asked me questions about my bite, my jaw, stuff no other dentist has asked me. I told her my jaw and neck muscles were always tense, that I’d suffered from chronic tension headaches for 30 years. She did a few checks and said that my bite was out of place because my teeth had moved when I had braces. I worked with her for a year and am now 100% pain free.
She diagnosed and treated my tension headaches without need for medications or physical therapy. What Mayo Clinic and Kaiser could not do, Dr Sahota did almost immediately.
I trust her completely. Her cleanings are painless, she doesn’t try to sell me any services (talks me out of bleaching my teeth every time I’m there :) and shows the greatest kindness I have ever met.
Plus, let me say, Dr Sahota’s team uses technology to create/​remind/​confirm appointments so that there’s no back and forth via voicemail. I love this. I wish all small businesses would use SMS and email the way Dr Sahota’s team does!

Preet is «a human being who went to dental school.» As a dentist she’s amazingly humble and open. She always gives me amazing perspectives as to what is or may be going on with my dental situation. Her manual skills are a testimony to her embodiment of her knowledge which is more rooted in the vast realities of anatomy and physiology than your standard information given by nearly every other dentist out there. Her office and staff are an extension of what she believes and to see alignment like that in an industry such as dentistry is amazing! She usually schedules one patient at a time which allows her attention to remain focused. I recommend her to everyone looking for a dentist, she’s awesome!

I have been sitting at a dentist chair since the age of 7. Dr. Preet is so far the best in terms of knowledge, approach, sincerity and kindness.

This is my kid’s dentist. Let me say that this office is sooo different than your typical dental office. Everyone is friendly, compassionate and caring. Dr. Sahota is as honest as it gets. A lady with personal integrity who is not out to price gauge you or perform dental work that you simply don’t need. My kids really like her and feel very very comfortable with her. She is eco friendly and holistic, so even though I have been with the same dental office for over 8 years, I may switch to her myself. I have recommended her to several friends. Honestly, she is as good as it gets. Very kind and loving person. I simply cannot say enough good things about her.

I have meant to write this review for ages, Preet Sahota has given my husband, my children and my grandchildren amazing care. I think her gentle nature and her sincereity is so geniune. I have recommended her to numerous friends and they have been very pleased as well. My granddaughters, especially the oldest did not like the whole «Dentist Experience» but with Preet she and her sisters are totally at ease. The entire staff at Smile Matters are always so pleasant and helpful. I am so happy to recommend Preet to anyone looking for a dentist. She is terrific !!

The minute a stepped foot in Dr. Sahota’s office I felt welcomed and cared for. My daughter and I have been patients for over 3 years and we plan to be patients for the next 20 plus! Dr. Sahota is a one of a kind dentist; she always will look out for your best interest and provides ways to make sure it’s affordable. I truly feel so blessed that Dr. Sahota is my dentist! It’s as simple as that =) Dr. Sahota whoohoo!

I just want to say that Dr. Sahota is an awesome dentist! I was never a fan of going to the dentist and I think this was based on the fact that I never found a good dentist who was personable.
One visit to Dr. Sahota changed all that. To start, her staff is the greattest. After my cleaning and initial exam she clearly laid out exactly what work needed to be done and why. She took the time to explain each procedure before it was started and asked if I had any questions along the way.
I always said that in order to be a successful dentist you need to be a people person and actually care about the patient. Dr Sahota fit the bill there. For the first few minutes of each visit we would chat about what was going on.
I would highly recommend Dr. Sahota to anyone in the Fremont area who needs a dentist. Big ups to Dr. Sahota and her staff!

I highly recommend Preet Sahota and Smile Matters to anyone looking for a capable and compassionate dentist! She doesn’t just do her job, she exceeds it! She provides a lot of informative insight that my former dentists neglected to mention, and she’s very down-​to-​earth when she treats you. The entire staff is very helpful, and they all enjoy their jobs! I have an easier time loosening up at these places when I know the staff is also loose and having fun. Preet is also driven to support the community around her. She doesn’t just fix smiles with her tools, she fixes smiles with her attitude! Again, I highly recommend Smile Matters for someone looking for a chill dentist with a personal touch!

Best Dentist I’ve ever had, and I’ve seen a few.
Preet is very gentle and careful, and explains what she is doing and how your mouth works. You’ll be surprised what you can actually see if you know where to look!
Preet is looking at the whole person, and understands systemic problems and knows how to fix them with the least invasive procedure.
For example, did you realize that having teeth pulled for cosmetic reasons can make the mouth narrower, which leads to snoring and sleep apnea, which significantly increases your chance of heart attacks?
The practice is set up to be very environmentally friendly, using more natural solutions where possible, and preferring sterilizeable equipment over throw away, and has the latest equipment, like a 3d scanner to make accurate fillings.
They are all very up front and have not tried to sell me any superfluous services — I am very much impressed by their kind, personal gentle kind of dentistry.
