Rocky Mt Windowtint Fremont

This is probably my favorite place for window tinting. I was here 10 years ago when I bought my first car, and I’m back again with the second one. I’m really happy with the work that was done and the results.

I would honestly give the place a 3 star if it wasn’t so cheap compared to other tinters in the Fremont area. When I had the back 3 windows tinted it cost me $ 200 while this place cost me $ 120, I’ve heard other reviews getting $ 200 for all their windows in the car tinted which is a freaking deal.
However this is where my 3 star comes in, you only get one selection of tint, which is theirs which is considered probably an average tint that last a long time for low price. There are better tints out there from other places since they have a selection of ceramic ones that actually the lower the temperature but I was okay since I would’ve spent triple the amount but didn’t care since there’s a thing called Air Conditioning which will compensate. Unlike the more expensive tinters in Fremont, Rocky Mountain doesn’t clean up after they do the job, I saw dirty scuff marks and oily residue remaining off the tint which other reviewers don’t mention probably because of the low price but I just wanted to mention that. I’m happy with the tint but didn’t like the the dirtiness left behind.
The tint they use is Llumar so it’s not bad and probably on par with the cheapest 3M or Optitek (?) brand. Would I recommend Rocky Mountain? Yes, since they open on Saturday unlike some other places. Just be prepared to bring wipes to clean off smudges here and there.

This is a nice little shop run by nice lady. She charged me minimum to take off window tints. She worked patiently and did the work cleanly. She also quoted lowest to apply tint for my other car. I will highly recommend this place to get your tinting work dine.

Ive taken 3 vehicles here now for window tinting. This married couple who owns the place has been in business for over 20 years. They know what they’re doing, your windows come out flawless, and if you’re doing the back only, $ 169 out the door. Great deal. All 3 of my vehicles the tint last for years without bubbles or any other issues. Take your car here to get tinted.

Scheduled an appointment to get my CLK 320 Mercedes tinted all around. When I showed for the appt, they said they CANNOT guarantee that they will do a good job because it is tough working on Mercedes (I give them credit for being honest)
I went to this place based on recommendation from a friend AND Unilocal but beware if you are trying to get a Mercedes done because they CAN’T guarantee that it will come out good. Ask them before scheduling an appointment.

This review is overdue but I came back recently to get my boyfriend’s car tinted and left very pleased with the tint. I got my 2008 Honda Accord tinted back in 2008 and my tint is still intact! My boyfriend was super happy when I surprised him with his tint. It’s been almost 7 years and my tint is not fading or cracking. I remember I brought my car in during the morning and it was finished in less than 2 hours. Same goes with my boyfriend’s car.
It’s a family owned business so yay for supporting local/​small businesses! I was very pleased with the service both times. The lady showed me the different tint levels and which one was illegal so I wouldn’t get in trouble hehe. She also helped me get a better idea by showing the different levels on two cars outside.
Overall, a really good deal for the quality and service! I always refer my friends and family to this place.

My family has been coming to Kim to tint all of our cars since we bought the Acura Legend in the 1990’s, so we definitely trust her with tinting windows. Be warned, they are a little pricier than the other places you can go to, but the quality and the time they put into tinting your windows is top notch so it’s worth the extra $$.
I came here 3 weeks ago on a Saturday morning right at 9am when they opened without an appointment. Luckily nobody was there so they were able to give me a quote and start applying the tint right away. Tinting all 5 windows and the small rear windows took about 2.5 hours to do. Everything looked good to me when I picked up the car, but after a week, I noticed some bubbles that didn’t go away after the 1 week drying period in one of the smaller rear windows. I brought it in to tell them about it this morning and they said they would replace the film free of charge.
I’m going to make an appointment for next week and update the review once it’s been fixed.

They are great, did an awesome job. Took me in without an appointment.
But paying 260 $ to tint my 2013 accord was just too expensive. Came with only a one year warranty. While at other places they would do it for 160 $ and a lifetime warranty

Altima Coupe. They were not able to do the job. They cut the film twice. Tried fitting in but wasn’t able to. Bubbles and wrinkles everywhere. They took it out and refunded me. The lady was eating an apple in my car. Definitely not a pro shop. It was not a pleasant experience. I’m not planning to return for my other car. Wasted my 2 hours.

I’ve taken four cars here and have never had a problem. Friendly, Fast and Fair pricing. Tint has never peeled, bubbled or faded. I love keeping the «mom and pop» businesses going so give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Wow, I didn’t even know a mom and pop store like this still exist. I’m always looking to support local businesses before the big retail chains. Due to my work schedule it is impossible to make an appointment to get my window tinted. However, I decided to call today and see if I can just bring my car in without making an appointment and they said they have a spot right now and I’m more than welcome to bring my car in. They finished my car within 2 hours and I was on my way before I know it. The quality of work is great and the price is more than reasonable. They have got themselves another fan!

The service was great! I love mom and pop like places. The couple was awesome and they both were very kind and informative. They did the tints as I asked regardless of legality and it only took 2 hours, after they originally said 3. I couldn’t be happier with my tints. My car looks awesome, it’s already cooler, and it came with a 5 year warranty.

Okay, so I bought a new altima and needed to get the windows tinted. I have called around and been going so research on window film and things. I found out that this place uses llumar tint. Llumar is a vet reputable product and this place is on one of their distributors list on their website too! Quality tint and at a great price.

They use llumar here. If you don’t know llumar is a great tint brand and is actually really good. Suntek and 3m are good an more common. Llumar also has this place as a retail distributor on their site, so you know they are legit. I’ve only had the tint on for maybe 2 ½ days and haven’t washed it yet, but it has made my car look really good so far! We’ll see how bit is in a few. They offer a 5 year warranty on their product, so I’m not worried about it at all.

This place is run by a Korean couple and they have been doing this for 25 years! That’s longer than I have been alive! I spoke a little Korean and she was very friendly and we had a conversation as I was getting the paperwork done. Quick and easy to get an appointment!

Yup, more than what I can give! Extra credit! Man, I got quotes all over the place and a place I. Belmont wanted 400 for all my windows tinted. This place charged 229!!! What!!! Ridiculous price for llumar film.
Conclusion: recommend it? Yes. 100%. I wished they did more stuff like paint protectant film or something. The only thin is they don’t have a website, so you need to call in. I feel great that I’m going to a mom and pop store like this. And great great price too!

Our family has been going to this place for all of our auto tinting needs for the past 20 years! The Kim’s are very reasonable and spend the time to make sure the job gets done right. You can be sure of an end result with which you’ll be completely satisfied!

Had my daughter’s 2012 Santa Fe tinted today and they did a very good job. The older couple were very nice and would explain the wok as they go along. They completed the whole car all windows in 2 hours I came in at 9am and was out 11:15.
According to Mrs. Kim they have been doing this for 25 years. I definitely recommend this place and will bring in another vehicle soon. The price was fair and the finished product superb.

This place was recommended to me by my Uncle who had himself referred 3 or 4 cars, and spoke highly of their service.
The shop is run by a husband and wife, and I believe they’ve been in the biz for 20+ years. They did a great job on my 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE, and took the time to answer my questions about the different grades of tint.
Finished before the scheduled time which was also great. Being within walking distance to Sujus is also a plus!
The only suggestion I have is this: I offered a cash payment in hoping to get a price break, but was denied. I could be wrong but I thought maybe he owned the business and that would give him more flexibility to operate. Let’s say he would pay a 2.3% fee to the bank. He could have saved that and given me a 1% discount — a win/​win for a SMB and a regular Josep.

I had my new Acura TSX done over the weekend. The workman ship is fantastic.
I could not be any happier.
Both Mr. and Mrs Kim are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
They take good care of my car. They are meticulous.
If you look for car window tinting, look no further. This place will not disappoint you.
