At Mission Dental Care, the office of Leroy Owyang, DDS, we offer a full range of procedures designed to restore your smile’s natural beauty, including bonding, crowns, teeth whitening, bridges, periodontal care, and emergency care.

We use only the latest techniques and materials, such as white composite fillings, and low-​exposure digital x-​rays. We also offer Invisalign orthodontics to straighten your teeth.

No matter what your dental goals, we can help make them a reality.

History

Established in 2005.

Our office is nestled in the beautiful and historic Mission San Jose District of Fremont, CA. We are located across the street from St. Joseph’s church on Mission Boulevard, and a few blocks away from Ohlone College.

Our goal is to make your dental experience positive and comfortable, while adhering to the strictest standards of quality and integrity. Dr. Leroy Owyang uses only the best quality materials, and stays up-​to-​date on the latest and most effective techniques. We do not rush our patients and will take our time to answer all your questions or address your concerns. Your comfort is important to us.

Business Owner

Dr. Leroy Owyang is a hometown native raised in Fremont, and attended Hacienda Elementary, Niles Elementary, Ardenwood Elementary, Walters Jr. High School, and Kennedy High School. Dr. Owyang left Fremont to attend college at the University of California, Davis, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology. He then moved to San Francisco to attend the Arthur A. Dugoni Univeristy of the Pacific School of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Owyang decided to return to Fremont to practice and serve the community where he grew up, giving back to the town he considers home.

Dr. Leroy Owyang has attended numerous continuing education courses and seminars to remain at the forefront of restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the Southern Alameda County Dental Society, the California Dental Society, and the American Dental Society.

Mission dental is great! The staff is always a delight to see and Dr. Owyang is thorough, gentle, and knowledgable.
As a poor student traveling through Asia I had some cheap (but ultimately no good — surprise, surprise) dental work done… Resulting in some serious problems. I saw Dr. Owyang in a pinch the first time, even though he was out of network (was in pain)!
Dr. Owyang helped me get everything subpar replaced. He prioritized the work based on my insurance limits. This took years of planning, and his staff was incredibly considerate throughout the process. I continued coming back even though they weren’t in network, they’re worth paying extra for.
I wish Mission Dental was closer to SF… Never thought I’d miss my dentist and his team, but here we are.

We love Dr. Owyang! He and his team of staff are very personal and professional. They take care of everything from teeth cleaning, to night guards to teeth brightening. Dr. Owyang always explain each treatment in great detail. He answers all questions no matter how trivial they might seem. I highly recommend Mission Dental Care!

First timer… very picky about any personal health providers
Staff are very welcoming! Angela did such a great job on cleaning my bad habits I’ve been licking my teeth the past 48 hours admiring how smooth it is. Dr. Owyang took every bit of time to go over my X-​rays and discussed not only the current problems but what should I be thinking about in the future. There were areas within the X-​ray overviews that he went into detail which I completely agree… but did not pressure me into doing such services immediately.
Usually I do not give 5 stars… there is no such thing, but for what it’s worth… this place for a first time visit, well deserve!

Hands down — the ABSOLUTE GREATEST dentist I have ever gone to.
I read the reviews on Dr. Leroy Owyang at Unilocal before deciding to go with him.
Always thought all dentists are the same, I just came from my first procedure with Dr. Owyang and found that the reviews are absolutely accurate !!!
I got several filling today, he walked me through the whole process and checked in several times to ensure I was comfortable. It was absolutely painless !!! painless !!!
and the most important my teeth look nice and feeling great! I finally can chew my food without something stucked lol.
I’ve been to many different dentists in my life because we moved around lot’s of times. He is extremely friendly, patient, caring, and gentle. In my experience, that makes a huge difference in the level of service you receive. I’ve never felt so comfortable and at ease during a dental procedure before.
Clarissa, the office manager and the dental assistant are genuinely super friendly and nice.
I highly recommend Dr. Owyang and his staffs, I probably should have done this sooner!

I just wanted to add my 5 stars to this excellent Dental Practice. The staff here treat you extremely well, no arrogance, just professional and respectful — even a personal Thank-​you card !!!
Dr. Owyang is especially good at bedside manner — no bull-​.
His assistant Naso (sp?) is very capable and makes you feel comfortable and relaxed — especially when you are expecting a not too pleasant experience.
And not to mention Clarrisa’s friendly attitude and classy smile would be unfair to the patient.
The best thing about it is that no-​one tried to push a whole bunch of expensive services — I am sure we have all dealt with Dentists that push treatments using scare tactics.
I am in complete agreement with the other reviewers’ comments, as I have experienced much the same thing… disastrous to terrific!
I am glad to have finally found a Dental practice I really trust and respect.

I had been going to the same dentist for 15+ years in the San Ramon area. I was hesitant to change providers as I had gotten used to going to the same dentist. However, I needed to find a new dentist as I had recently moved to the Tri-​City area. A good friend recommended Mission Dental Care, so I made an appointment the next day. The staff is professional, it’s easy to schedule an appointment, and Dr. Owyang and his team take the time to explain everything that is happening during your treatment. They are an excellent dental practice and I’d recommend to family and friends!

As Always, I love Dr. Owyang’s office, services & staff members! I have a crazy schedule and Clarrisa always accomdates me even on short notice! I’m always pleased with my services done and how I am treated. I have been going here for about 5yrs now and love it!
They close for a week durning Christmas so call to get your check up in so your teeth are shiny clean for the holidays! AND afterwards… Call to get them whitened from all those wine holiday parties! :p

I’ve been Dr. Leroy Owyang’s dental patient since about 3 years ago. He and his team are very friendly and professional. Dr. Owyang referred me to the best dental specialists (orthodontist and endodontist) in the area and has been working closely with them to treat various conditions of my teeth and bites. When I asked questions, Dr. Owyang patiently provided detailed answers and made sure I follow. I do deeply appreciate such attentiveness and professionalism, which, with no doubt, benefit me greatly as a patient!

Since my childhood dentist passed away, my family and I set upon a quest to find a good dental office closer to home. Our search started off disastrous, but ended really well with Dr. Owyang and his team!
I’m not a huge fan of going to the dentist’s office, but the staff here is so efficient&pleasant to be around. They’ll remind you of your appointment via email and will call you, as well. They’re super knowledgeable, and I definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a dentist in the Fremont area.

If you’re looking for a good dentist with a friendly staff, then this is the place for you! I’ve been going to Mission Dental Care for years, and have never had a bad experience. The entire staff is friendly and always makes you feel at ease. The practice has transitioned to newer equipment and technology over the past couple of years, which is a plus in my book.

Friendly and professional. They are informative about their dental procedure, never pushy about it like other dental offices. That’s what I like best. The rates are reasonable and they do a good job cleaning my teeth. Their office looks updated and clean.
I would recommend this dental office and come back for another appointment for my next cleaning.
