Welcome to the dental office of Dr. Edward A. DeCoite DDS, provider of general, cosmetic and restorative dentistry for the entire family since 1974. Dr. DeCoite and his staff are committed to providing the highest quality of dental care for you and your loved ones.

Our office offers a variety of dental procedures including cosmetic dentistry, single visit porcelain crowns and veneers, invisible fillings, bonding, implants, root canals, extractions, teeth whitening, hygiene, X-​rays and more.

Dr. DeCoite has been providing the highest quality of dental care for over 30 years. He has built his practice by the repeat business and referral of many happy patients and their families.

Business Owner

Dr. Edward DeCoite is a Bay Area native. Growing up in the San Leandro area, Dr. DeCoite graduated from Bishop O’Dowd High School before moving on to the University of Santa Clara. He obtained his formal dental training at the Georgetown School of Dentistry in Washington DC. Dr. DeCoite has been practicing in the field of dentistry for over 30 years. Throughout those years Dr. DeCoite has acquired the technical expertise to treat virtually any dental ailment with proficiency and skill. Through participating in industry events and ongoing education, he has maintained abreast of the latest advancements in dental treatment and technology.

Dr. DeCoite is a long time resident of Pleasanton, California. He has been married to his wife Diane for over 35 years. They have two children and recently became proud grandparents.

In his free time Dr. DeCoite enjoys golfing, tennis, gardening and biking.

I just had my first visit with Dr. DeCoite, and I am so happy a friend recommended him to me! After having a horrifying experience at Gentle Dental, I left feeling much better about the prognosis of my mouth. His staff is wonderful, and I can tell that he is going to be my family’s dentist until he retires!

Who likes going to the dentist, really? ;) Dr. DeCoite is aware that many folks (like me) have dental phobias and he does an excellent job making you feel relaxed and comfortable. I have had my last two visits with Dr. DeCoite and will continue to use him for all my future visits. He his honest and gentle. Thanks for the nice smile! :)

I sure wish I lived closer to Dr. DeCoite because I would still be going to him. These days all dentists are in it for the buck, trying to convince you that you need this or that. In fact, that’s what I am dealing with these days living in San Francisco, but not Dr. DeCoite, he’s honest and doesn’t try to scam you into something you don’t need.
Dr. DeCoite is gentle, professional and takes his time doing superior work. He did a porcelain crown on my front tooth and to this day it looks exceptional! He matched the color of my teeth perfectly. I honestly am considering just braving the commute to go back to him once I ditch the scam artist I am going to now.
If your looking for a new dentist give him a try you won’t be disappointed!

I have known Dr. DeCoite for the last 30 years. Not only has he worked on me, but also my wife and two children. I or my family have never had a bad experience with this dentist. Dr. DeCoite is nothing like the previous reviewer claims. Dr. DeCoite is extremely professional and always up to date on the latest technology. His side chair manner is always relaxing and very conscious of what he is doing. Dr. DeCoite is the best needle man in the business and always available. I highly recommend Dr. DeCoite without reservation.

Avoid this dentist! He is clumsy and did a horrible job working on my teeth. He poked me in the eye at least 3 times! He fixed a cavity that ended up needing a crown. Wile the temporary was on I went back complaining severe pain. He kept insisting it was a different tooth. He eventually put the permanent crown on and told me to wait a few days and he would check out the other tooth because he thought I needed a root canal on a different tooth. I ended up seeing a different dentist who was immediately able to confirm the tooth he just put the crown was the one that needed the root canal. So I ended up having a root canal and having to get the crown replaced. So in essence he cost me an extra $ 1200.00 because of the new crown I had to have. If he had done his job correctly he would of checked when the temporary crown was on so that I could of had the root canal before the permanent crown was put on. It is my belief that he did this intentonally because he was hoping to get me on a new crown. Stay away from this place. All their equipment is out dated I felt like I walked into the 70’s
