Magnussen Lexus of Fremont

I don’t like to give bad reviews, but have to speak up. This is primarily directed towards their service department. Since MLoF the closest Lexus dealership, I really wanted to give them a chance. But after 2 bad experiences, enough’s enough.
The first repair on my IS250 was for a faulty window switch that needed replacing. The switch was replaced, but they failed to reset my windows, so one of the windows would not close, this required another appointment to fix something they caused. This should’ve been checked before declaring the job finished.
The second repair was a recall repair for a fuel pressure gasket replacement. The work was done, but when I got the car back, the airbag warning light was stuck on. Again, this should’ve been checked before declaring the job finished. I asked them why is this warning light on, they had no answer. I checked online forums some dealers are charging $ 2500 to replace this harness.
Luckily, I was able to repair this problem myself.
But come on Magnussen’s Lexus of Fremont, what’s going on with your quality of work? Not only is Lexus is known for making quiet, plush, and very reliable cars, their customer service is usually the highest rated among car manufacturers.
And their soliciting for high scores on their post-​service surveys is a little over the top. Don’t ask for high scores, earn them.

I recently had a great experience dealing with the service department. Oscar assisted me throughout the process of getting a recall up to par on my IS250. He made this super easy on me and accommodated me in every way possible. He even took care of my sun visor light that recently went out. I thought that was awesome of him to do especially since I mentioned it super last minute. Thank you for your 5 star service, Oscar!

The staff here were so helpful and welcoming, especially Eric Da Silva. Being a first time buyer, I had a lot of questions and they made the process very easy. They were patient and explained everything to me. They made me feel comfortable and made sure I understood everything before leaving. I’m so excited and definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to own a Lexus!

Ask for Kathleen. She is an angel. She took care of us so well. Got us the car we needed with the price we needed with no hassle and time efficient. Not to mention $ 200 gas gift card, 30 day extended warranty and 12 month road side assistance all for free. God works through her to help people like me.

This review is for the phone customer service.
I have taken my car for service and it’s been pretty good but this experience has been disappointing.
The other day I called to ask about a package I purchased with my car. I had called 3 TIMES. First time, I didn’t they told me the finance personnel was on lunch and that they will call back. Never got a call back. Second time, I was put on hold for a while and it ended up going to a voice mail. Third time, the operator put me on hold to transfer and after I waited a while somebody hung up the phone so I called back and got voice mail. I called with a different phone right after and the operator picked up so I know for a fact that the operator didn’t pick up on purpose. After I told her to transfer me, she put me on hold, came back and said the personnel is helping a guest so she took down my call back information. Not call back AGAIN. With all this, I am very DISAPPOINTED in the phone customer service. I do not think this is professional at all.
I liked their service department but unfortunately with personnel like this, it will definitely make me reconsider.

We are on our way back home from a short hiking trip, drop by Lexus of Fremont to take a look. We want a SUV with good gas mileage. That leave us only NX300h or RX450h. I think NX300h is a good combination considering we don’t really need lots of power or space.
The sales lady (Amara Ragchaa) gave us an straight forward offer which we can’t refuse. The offer for a 2016 NX300h is better than the offer we saw in Lexus of Stevens Creek for a 2015 NX300h of similar options. No hard bargain, pushing, pressuring, etc. Really easy to do business with.
As the result, we got our first Lexus.

I just wanted to take a quick second and let you know how my experience at Magnussen Lexus Fremont went. This is the second time to get my wife’s beautiful car.
My experience was nothing shot of amazing. From the time I started working with my sales associate (Steve Yi) all the way until I left the lot was so wonderful. Steve were so incredibly nice. He never rushed me, he did everything he could to find the best car at the best price that for my budget. And I got my new 2016 ES300h with amazing price. I have nothing bad to say about either of him or magnussen lexus.
In additional, there is one more beautiful staff who is Delivery specialist Kenisha Smith. She did great job for explaining all of great gadget for my car. She explained from opening door to closing door everything with beautiful smile. I’m not familiar kind of this high technology, but she kindly explain everything until I understand without any rush. She is the best too!!!
This lot is huge, clean, and beautiful. What great employees you have. I will be there again and again with Steve Yi and Kenisha Smith. Thanks.

Fantastic service. Just moved from Nissan to Lexus!!! Wow what a great change in customer service. Traded my car in Lexus a bought a gs350. Shane helped me going through everything. He helped a lot in getting the price I wanted he was making us feel like he was working for us instead of the dealer. What a great service nice way to deal with customers. Really appreciate all the kind work they do here in helping customer. Then came to service dept for Navigation update. Met guy named abeid. Never expected this kind of service here so nice welcoming people kind. Offer coffee pastries makes u feel like a VIP here. This is called Lexus world. I will definitely recommend this Lexus to everyone.

Just found out Justin left Lexus a few months ago…:(but I have to say this Fremont Lexus still has the best customer service. I will definitely come back for my next purchase!

My experience at this Lexus dealer was way better than any others I went to, way better than Lexus of Steven’s Creek who treat you like trash. Everyone here is friendly and approachable, no stress or awkward silence. Price negotiated in advance, spoke on the phone a couple times, they reserved the vehicle for us direct from the manufacturer. They even reserved the hottest 2016 car for us, even though I am sure they could have sold it to another person.
When we went in all paperwork was ready, car was washed and parked in the docking area for us to inspect, they had a person ready to go over the car technicalities and all the controls (takes about 2 hrs for a full walk through of the car). Could not ask for better service!
We shopped around a few Lexus dealers and this place was the friendliest and best priced, a double bonus! I highly recommend talking to Craig Fuller, he will take care of you.

Five star service, but I start to see this place crowded. Last time they missed commitment in terms of delivery time on my oil change but once they realized that i am in real need to pick my kids, the service advisor went above and beyond to get it delivered.
I had been coming here for years and service quality is as best as it can get.

I made an appointment and had to wait an hour to see the counsellor because they mixed up my name with someone elses. But they found out and corrected it. Then I had to wait for 45 more minutes for the complimentary shuttle. I don’t like to complain, but I told someone at the front desk that I was waiting for long and the director of service himself dropped me off.
The service center is super busy, but the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Made an appointment at 3 pm to look at a ls460, called to confirm with the sales person before arrived. When we got there the sales person over booked the car with someone else. called him again and he said 5 mins, then ten mins then ended up waiting for 30 mins without any courtesy call or apology. He has the audacity to call us back 1.5 hour later and said the car is still available if we want to come in again.
My husband and I went next door to acura Fremont and bought a car over there instead. Even though acura Fremont and Lexus Fremont belongs to the same owner, the service is day and night.
I would give them zero star, but the only reason for one star is the service department at Lexus Fremont is great. Our service consultant, Summer, did a awesome job booking for service, call us during service and after service was done, made sure that we got what we needed.

My wife and I just purchased a vehicle from this dealership and I have to say that it’s been one of the best experiences we’ve had at any Lexus dealership all thanks to Shane Sorge. I wont go into all the details as I’m sure each experience will vary, but I will say that he made it super easy for us to trade in our vehicle and accommodated our needs in ways I did not expect. He’s a very personable, upfront and honest.

After working out what I thought was an agreed upon price on an RX350 we showed up to the dealership, which was 30 minutes out of our way, to find out the last two models at the price were just sold but they happened to have «slightly» more expensive models in stock. Sorry this seems like the classic bait and switch.
I also made sure to have done all the credit paperwork in advance so there would be no surprises yet they couldn’t find it. After all this and having credit reran we agreed to pay more but in the end after a very lowball offer on our trade-​in we couldn’t bend further. At some point the dealer needs to do more to get a deal done and apparently they aren’t concerned with selling their 2015s even with all the 2016s already in stock.

I responded directly to Bo’s reply below. A full day later I haven’t heard back. This confirms my initial thoughts that they are not working in earnest to make a deal.

Most dealers tried to sell me other colors on hand, but Brent never questioned what I wanted. Easy to work with, and made the entire process streamlined and efficient.
Gabe — Friendly, helpful, informative and welcoming. Guided me through the whole process, and was very patient with my questions, taking his time to work with me without rushing. My girlfriend and I recently purchased a CPO 2013 ES350 and while we love the car we were more amazed from the level of service we got from Mike Greco. He was patient, courteous and very resourceful. He really does go above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Magnussen Lexus, you aren’t paying this guy enough. Promote him or give him a raise.
Also, thumbs up to Leon in Financing. Coolest finance guy ever.

This Lexus dealership has been my family’s go-​to for the past three years. All the associates we’ve ever interacted with there are honest, helpful, energetic, wonderful people that just want you to go home with the perfect car for a decent price!
Austin Pann is the dealer that has helped us with our last three cars and they are all wonderful used cars that was well worth the money – safety, navigation system, outer and inner beauty, comfort, smooth drives, and more! He let us test drive the cars that we were interested in, knew most of the information about the cars we asked about, gave us his honest opinion about certain questions that we asked, did his best to give us the best offer with what he had, gave us his business card and made it very clear that we could call him anytime we had questions, and more! Overall he took very good care of us and I would definitely recommend this funny man to be your go-​to dealer!
There were also two other people I loved interacting with – Kenisha and Leon! Kenisha was the wonderfully energetic woman who walked us through one of the cars and Leon was the guy that helped us out with the finances! Both were very honest and helpful people that I would highly recommend! Everyone here also makes the buying process simple – although it does take a few hours to get everything done, they are very patient and will send you home feeling amazing and a bit overwhelmed by the beautiful purchase you’re taking home!
On a side note, they have an adorable mini aquarium, massage chairs, a bar, and a coffee machine for those that come in! They even hose some cool events like a paint and wine event for free! Lexus dealerships are the best!

I finally got my first Lexus yesterday! And my experience was absolutely amazing. If it wasn’t for Eric who helped me get a white IS 250 f sport with black interior! It’s so beautiful: D and I’m so happy with it. Also I would like to mention that Eric has a great sense of humor so I def liked that. I hate when the sales people are serious through out the entire experience.
Also Stevie was very helpful as well with all the questions I had and helped me get the price I wanted. Overall a wonderful team!
Navjeet also helped me explain the features inside the car! There a bunch of cool features I didn’t even know existed.
And both of them together put a red bow on my car so I can take pictures lol. Eric even gave me free leather covers for my keys ! Like they seriously took care of everything here and I’m really happy with the service I got.
