Learn and Play Montessori School is a year around preschool which offers Part Time and Full Time Programs for Toddlers, PreK, Preschool and Kindergarten for children 2 to 6 years of age or first grade entry. We also offer Morning Care, Afternoon Care, Extended Care and After School Programs.

LAPMS is member of: American Montessori Society (AMS), Bay Area Montessori Society (BAMA), National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Professional Association for Childhood Education (PACE).

History

Established in 2008.

Learn And Play Montessori School was founded in year 2008 in Fremont. Behind LAPMS was 15 years of Montessori Experience and life long love for teaching. Currently LAPMS has four beautiful campuses in Fremont and one in Dublin, California.

Kshama A.

Manager

Miss Kshama is the Site Supervisor/​Director at Learn And Play Montessori School’s Peralta Campus. Miss Kshama holds Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communications. She holds Early Childhood Credential (ECE) from American Montessori Society (AMS).

Before working as Peralta Campus, she was the Site Supervisor/​Director at the LAPMS’s Maple Campus.

Before joining the LAPMS team, Miss Kshama has been Montessori teacher for 14 years. Miss Kshama is very passionate about Montessori philosophy and loves working with children.

I love this school and all the teachers and admin staff! They truly care about the children. My 2 kids attend this school and my oldest has been there for 2.5 years now and they both love it. Even though it’s tough enough to run a school with young children, they still manage to organize different activities to involve the parents like Thanksgiving and Christmas performances. They make sure the parents are aware at all times what the children are learning. We love LAPM!

Highly recommended! Awesome staff. Well organized facility with big playing area and class rooms. Teachers are very caring, loving and pay attention to every kid. Fresh health food and fruits. Lot of learning activities, circle times.
They celebrate special days like Mother’s Day etc.
They provide detailed note for small injuries or if kids are not eating well.
Director Kshama is super nice and always there to discuss if you have any questions/​concerns.
I would recommend this school if you are looking for good Montesorri in Fremont area.

A few hours after I left the first review, Karen (not sure about the spelling) called me and was clearly very upset about what I said in my previous review. She said that she can provide their AMS certificate and their contact. So I gave her my email address.
Weeks passed by and I did not receive anything in my email, until today I received a threatening call from the same «private/​unknown» number saying that she spoke with me before and she request that I remove the Unilocal review in 24 hours, otherwise she will file civil charges against me, since they have my ID information.
Terrified, I went back to the link I posted earlier and found out that their school magically appeared in the AMS database. I swear that when I checked back on Jan 7, it was not there. Also, there are a few campuses under the Learn and Play Montessori, but only the Peralta Blvd campus I reviewed is listed. I guess the person I talked was probably busy trying to get this school listed in the past few weeks before she called again today.
Anyway, I am too afraid to go back to the school ever again. But good news is that they are now a AMS member school as they claimed, for those of you who are interested.

Disclaimer: First I would like to say that I had visited other Montesorri’s in the area and decided that this school was not best for MY daughter. This is the first time I have ever put my daughter through the day care system and being a first time parent «AKA The Worry Bug» I understand that the things I observed at the this and other schools were just a MOMENT IN TIME and do not in any way represent how the school conducts business every day. I do not work for the school district. My review is real.
Classrooms are small. Was visiting the infant/​toddler class. The kids were working on arts and crafts. Bathroom is not in the classroom. Was put on a long wait list. Playground area was ok.

My child has been in this preschool for over three years and we are very impressed with our child’s development. As soon as we walk in, Ms. Yvonne and Ms. Cathe always greets us with a smile. The classrooms are always very clean and organized and my child never wants to come home. When I am at work, I feel very comfortable knowing that my child is well taken care of and if anything happens, the staff always calls and informs us. They do a great job calling you if your child did not eat lunch or if they are just complaining about something. We also really enjoy the events that they have. They are always tons of fun and are always so organized. The staff here really cares about every child that they have. I only wish that they go up all the way to Middle School.

Hands down 100% best staff in the bay! The owners care and love shows through the director, clerk, teachers and assistants! My child has learned tons of new things and is very happy at the same time. My child now comes home stress free and looks forward to the next school day. Special thanks to Ms. Shirley who is the most amazing teacher I have encountered yet! Kudos to all of you!

My daughter has been attending Learn and Play Montessori School on Peralta blvd since she was 2.5 years old. It took her awhile to adjust to coming to school; but once she did, it was very hard for me to pick her up at the end of the day because she didn’t want to leave. I was asked by her to come later and later every time. The teachers there are lovely and very caring to the children and parents. The administration team and teachers always keep me and my wife informed about what happens with my daughter-​regardless of injuries or not eating her lunch to not being herself, they will always give me a call to notify me. I always appreciate their phone calls when my child doesn’t eat her lunch. It gives me an idea to prepare a snack for her for the car ride home.
I’ve seen a lot of school and this is by far the most cleanest and organized facility in Fremont. If you want a peace of mind at work, I will recommend this school to you.

Wow wow Wonderful! Yvonne and Kate are Angels. Very pleasant, informative, are always there for us. I feel so connected with this place. My 5 year old son goes here and I absolutely love this place. Very welcoming and they absolutely don’t behave like they are doing a favor to us. Ms Sharon is very good. Ms Meda, I feel I am seeing a Goddess of wisdom. She is always focused on taking care and helping children there. Other teachers (don’t know the names) in my son’s class are wonderful. I now see what individual attention means. yes this place does indeed focus on each child and work on the areas where they are lacking. My son is just excelling and I saw a LOT of improvement in him in just a few weeks. I am very happy for choosing this school for my Son. Thank you.

Great staff, great teachers, great school!
We are overprotective parents who fell in love with this school from the beginning. They have been great in supporting our son and us. Our son has already transitioned through three classes and he loves his teachers. In fact, it takes us ten minutes to leave as he goes around to say goodbye to all of the teachers and staff.
The school also keeps the parents very informed and advise on how we can help the kids out of school as well.
They also offer a variety of extracurricular activities, such as music classes, dance and tumbling.
We highly recommend Learn and Play!

Our 2.5 year old goes here since August and we have only good things to say about this school. The teachers are very friendly and nice. My son looks forward to go to school every morning. They offer a lot of interesting and exciting variety in their curriculum. They do offer lunch and snacks. Although, I send my son home cooked lunch now, the vegetarian menu looks decent and healthy. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is searching for a good Montessori school in the Fremont area.

Our Daughter is 23 months. She started at the Maple center in January 2012 since then she is learning new vocabulary, more activities & expressing herself more. Her social skills are growing. She was always a happy baby but now she is more Happy and interactive.
Teachers:
Love this part as soon as you we enter, we get warm greetings from Ms. Jenna/Ms.Nicole.The teachers in her class (Ms.Apple & Ms. Synthia (Ms.Rania)) are very affectionate.
Comments for the teachers i love the devotion towards our kids and would hope it grows more as you bring in more kids and expand.
Facility:
Maple facility its very clean, small but very Happy place for kids. She is happy about going to school every morning. Very interesting activities for kids indoor and Outdoor.
I would encourage parents to visit the facility and decide for themselves. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to the Learn & Play Montessori School– Mapel Location Team & all the Teachers (Ms.Apple, Ms. Jenna, Ms. Synthia, Ms. Nicole & Ms. Rania) for sharing so much love and knowledge with our kid.

My child has been going to learn and Play Montessori for over a year now and I have seen significant results. Everyday he comes home and amazes me with all the new knowledge he aquires. Great place to send your child if you would like to see them succeed in the future. Ive done my homework and checked out a couple of local Montessori’s but by far none can compare to the level of excellence Learn and Play delievers. Highly recommended!!!

I recently visited this campus — What a beautiful school. I have seen many other schools but others just dont compare to what you find at Learn and Play. The school and all materials are new, classrooms are large, open and airy. Just feels like a really nice environment for a child to get a high quality Montessori education. I would recommend a visit to this school before placing your kids anywhere else.
