Food is just ok, but part of the reason I eat out is experience. I don’t want to cook so I pay someone to provide. Well when I do that please have a pleasant up beat attitude. The cashier(Jessica) here has no personality and seems half asleep. She is beyond slow to get the orders to customers. The«presentation» of the food is horrible. It’s like everything was tossed in a to go box. The Katsu chicken is all crumbs no chicken. I prefer the L&L on homestead and Lawrence in Santa Clara. Employees are kind and the food is prepped and presented better.

Who know’s why but I always seem to get the attitude of a IDGAF from the people at every L&L I go to. Glutton for punishment or in need of some Spam Musubi I still go in and order. It is what it is. Attitude and all. I have eaten here 3 times and never got any stomach issues. But I always order the same thing 2 Spam Musubi and a scoop of mac salad. So maybe I lucked out. Of course I’ll come back. :)

This L&L sucks. Since they are franchises go to instead where you won’t get the runs, and the people have actually lived in Hawaii.

I had a week-long diarrhea cha cha cha after eating their katsu curry, which was horrible. I’m not exaggerating, either. It lasted exactly 7 days. It seemed like the curry I ate just kept coming out of my body. Immodium and maxipads left by my ex saved me and my bed. Need I say more?

Just awful. Hawaiian«BBQ», yet I saw no grill other than a flat-top. The short ribs were very oily. The side of smoked pork was rather flavorless. I won’t be back.

I was feelin for some quick Ono Hawaiian Grindz and this was the closest spot I could find… man what a disaster… if you are looking for great Hawaiian food this is not the spot… Mac Salad had no taste, rice was soft, and meat was fatty. Service was alright… I’ll look elsewhere for BBQ

Ewww this place is disgusting too. How bad can you fuck up a loco moco? well apparently, this place can. I ordered a beef loco moco and a spam loco moco, the guy looked at me with the most puzzled face ever, rung me up, and went to the back to cook. From now on, i should definitely be checking my to-go orders cuz when i went home, the beef loco moco was not a beef loco moco. It was just regular korean bbq beef and it was hella salty! The spam loco mocco had 1 egg on it and the egg wasn’t even cooked. It was almost translucent and the top of the egg was cold. And usually, when spam is cooked, it turns brown right? Well this spam was pink! It looked like it was sliced right out of the can and just put on top of some rice. I dunno about this place. i really don’t think it’s going to last.

Not bad… the marinade is kind of generic to Hawaiian BBQ… lilke most Local guys would say: «Mines iz bettah». But L&L is probably the closest you’ll get to eating a real«Plate Lunch» up here in the mainland. One day they even had Malasadas!

this place aint bad for what it is. dont expect an orgasm in your mouth tho. this is just grub. typical hawaiian bbq stuff. i just had the chicken katsu, crispy and tasty along w/the katsu sauce. not spectacular. macroni salad could be better, kinda bland. i tried their bbq stuff before; the kalbi and chicken had too much sugar. on a side note, at least the people here are nice and they dont charge extra for another katsu sauce unlike that cheap ohana spot on christy street.

Hawaiian food to me is various meats prepared in some Asian manner, teriyaki-ish chicken, galbi, katsu curry… The list goes on and on. Along with the meats, come rice and macaroni salad. I am not a big macaroni salad person but something about the kind they have at L&L gets me every time. Still, it’s pasta in mayo so it’s not a bad thing to skip. As an alternative, I’ve tried a couple of the healthy choice options. The garlic shrimp meal consisted of stir fried shrimp strewn over a bed of lettuce with some cucumber slices and a tomato wedge and a scoop of brown rice. Pretty tasty. I also tried the mahi mahi which can be even better. The quality of the food depends on who is cooking so I give it 3 stars for the lack of consistency.
