I jordan Richter; am a world renown professional skateboarder and athlete who offers professional guidance and insight into the fundamental basics of skateboarding all the way up to pro-​training and preparation for competitive riding.

My roots run deep! Having grown up in the heart of the skateboard industry in sunny San Diego ca. I had the privalage of riding with all the greats of the sport. From Danny Way to Tony Hawk, from jason Lee to Mark Gonzales. I am one of the original Blind skateboard team riders and was feature in possibly the most influential skateboard video of our time.

From classic pool riding to technical street skating, I offer a complete and comprehensive approach to skateboard training. With my intuitive insight and 28 years of experience. I get you on the road to rapid learning by using proven techniques that are grounded in the very foundation and soul of the sport. With my guidance and your willingness & patience to learn, there is virtually no stopping you!

History

Established in 1994.

I have been teaching skateboarding for the past 18 years. I have been a skate camp instructor at woodward skate camp in Pennsylvania, tahachapi Ca., Stockholm Sweden, Sequoia skate camp. I never stopped giving guidance whenever I have been approached. It is not until last year of 2011 that I have started to brand my system of learning and make it available to the local riders of the Bay Area, with a vision and scope to offer my system through an affiliate program through out the world!

Jordan has an amazing never-​ending supply of patience in his heart. What’s more, is that he could see my son’s desire to skate, and he said to me «I want to nurture that «. My son saw the skate park one day while we were running, and started asking for a skate board after that, so we ordered one for his 7th birthday, and signed him up for lessons for after school. He had never even stood on a skate board before going to skate lessons with Jordan, in fact he was shaking like a leaf at first. Jordan Walked him through everything! The anatomy of his board, to drawing feet on the board to help him remember foot placement, to comfortably navigating himself through the skate park, to now «mom, I can’t wait to learn more new tricks!» We have done lessons twice, and now we have gone to two of the summer camps, with 2 more to come, I am quite confident we will be doing more after school lessons too! My son really looks up to Jordan, he loves learning new things from his lessons and camps. We finally found my son’s «nitch» if you will… after trying basketball and soccer, etc. This is my son’s sport! He is so happy skating. A great thanks to Jordan, and the team at summer camp too! You all have made a huge impact, and it means alot!

My boys (age 11 and 12) attended the half day skate camp in Fremont last week. They loved it! Jordan worked with them on new things they wanted to try, and they made a lot of progress on their boards in the week they were there. There were boys and girls of a variety of ages attending the camp. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Jordan Richter is the finest ambassador that skateboarding could ask for. He’s always patient, positive, and I can personally attest to witnessing peoples confidence on and off the skateboard skyrocket after a few sessions. My girlfriend expressed an interest in learning to skate after seeing the Fremont skatepark and I knew that the best choice to help teach her was Jordan. After every session she skates away with a true feeling of fulfillment and confidence.
If you are serious or just want to give skateboarding a try, go through Jordan. You will not have a better experience anywhere else. If you need proof, go visit Fremont skatepark on Sunday morning and see for yourself how many skaters of all ages and backgrounds have excelled in an activity they love thanks to his help.

My son has attended the camp at Heather Farms in Walnut Creek for the past few weeks and he loves it! Chris (aka Rat Face) and Evan are really talented and patient and my little guy has improved so much! They do fun things like play tag while on skateboards, have a pizza day, hand out «awards», etc. One hot afternoon they took the kids swimming. The mom in me appreciates the emphasis placed on safety (stretching, lots of refilling of water bottles, helmets and kneepads) and it’s so nice to see the supportive/​encouraging/​careful mentoring the counselors consistently display. My son comes home dirty and exhausted and so proud of his accomplishments.

My 11-​year old daughter had never tried out skateboarding before but didn’t want to do the normal summer camps and saw that there were camps at the great new skatepark at Central Park. I was pleased to see a camp just for girls and signed her up. Jordan and his team were great! They were patient with the kids just learning how to skate and willing to answer any questions posed to them by parents. It was also fun seeing them all out during non-​camp hours and days still willing to give encouragement to the kids. My daughter learned so much in just one week!

My 6 year old daughter had no experience skateboarding (but was interested because of the Fremont skate park). We came by to watch one of Jordan’s classes, and I was impressed with his rapport with the kids and the methodology he used to teach them the fundamentals. I asked for some help on selecting appropriate equipment for my daughter, and he provided very sensible recommendations on boards and safety gear.
My daughter greatly enjoyed the group lessons, and with Jordan’s help got the basics down solid. She now has a blast skating and learning various tricks from other kids.
Jordan’s patience and demeanor with the students is top shelf, and he teaches them much more than just skateboarding. How to listen, how to practice, how to manage fear, how to try again when you fail… here’s a guy that knows his craft and lifts people up when sharing it with them. Highly recommended.

Signed up my daughter, a novice skater, for group lessons in the fall.
I was sincerely impressed by the individual attention given to each student by Jordan and his staff. The staff all have positive attitudes and encourage the kids to learn and have fun. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds as a skater since. She has much more confidence and is always looking to improve. I will be signing up for more lessons in the future. I highly recommend this academy.

Jordan works great with kids. He gives them the attention required to learn the sport, takes the time to explain both verbally and in practice. He also advocates safety which is critical in this sport. He’s patient, and knows how to deal with each level from entry to advanced. He also knows how to help the child overcome their fear of falling, balance etc. Skateboarding is a great sport to build up kid’s confidence and get them physically active and in good shape, and Jordan is excellent teaching it.

I’ve known Jordan for a few years now but have known of him for over 20 years. I used to skate back in the day and Jordan was one of the pro skateboarders that I admired and looked up to. Seeing him work with the youth today has been amazing. He gives so much of himself and really inspires the kids to be great both on and off the board. Jordan has a knack for helping the youth overcome their fears and self doubt. This is something that they can take with them beyond the skateparks and into their every day life. What better instructor than someone who turned professional at the age of 16 and is still riding and teaching at the age of 37. I wish there such a thing as a skateboard academy when I was 10 years old. Would have saved me a lot of time.

Skateboarding is an amazing sport for helping kids learn some critical life lessons and skills early on in life. With Jordan, he teaches the nuts and bolts of skateboarding but his whole goal is helping your child be better life! Confidence, motor skill, dealing with fear by being as prepared as possible, taking all available precautions but not letting it paralyze you or defeat you. Signing your kid up to JRSA is the choice to help him or her discover their own greatness. Plus, kids think skating is cool so I look like a hero to my son!

Jordan Richter was an Idol of mine 20 years ago. Now I am 40 and having the awesome privileged of coming out of skateboard retirement with the help of this world class skateboarder. He has been patient, honest, kind and really fun to be around. I could not ask for a better instructor. With out hesitation I wholeheartedly recommend his instruction. If my young children have any interest in riding with out any doubt I will have Jordan show them the ropes. My wife has also learned to skateboard with Jordan’s help at the age of 43. This is one of the good guys and I would like to say THANK YOU JORDAN!

I haven’t taken a lesson from Jordan, but I’ve seen him give lessons at Lake Cunningham to a couple young friends of mine. I’ve also seen his old video parts from back in the day, and seen him compete in contests recently. Obviously he is very talented. Not so obvious is the fact that he is really thoughtful and articulate.
If you have the talent, he’ll help get you where you want to go.
